i watch every video on AA with great anticipation and great sadness as i was unable to make it this year due to the birth of my next TF collector in my family :) so i await the next years opportunity to meat and hang out with all my friends in the UK.
With great embarrassment George, I must admit that like CobraCommanderTFW, I hesitated when I had the chance to say hello at AA, you were surrounded quite rightly by admirers and paradoxically, considering my YouTube persona, in real life I am cripplingly shy. Once I had been socialised by the mighty JiiDee it was too late, I couldn't find you :( Rest assured, I will be less of a wall flower next time and look forward to shaking your hand. Very kind regards, Andy :)
brilliant vid m8, i was gonna go this year but couldnt get the weekend pass as i wanted to see it all u no. but brilliant. im goin nxt year. i may see you there nxt year if ur goin. knowlsy00.
I am tremendously envious that you had such a wonderful time. It is always great when a community can form regarding something common and then build other links, find other connections and generally have a great time. We don't have much a TF community here in Australia sadly but I will one day make the trip up to my spiritual homeland and attend an AA
This very much reminds me of how my perception of convention meetups changed after I started hanging out with more people at Botcon back in '03 onwards. I'm really happy you guys found such good and memorable times at the show!
I wish it was an easier locale for me to get to, I'd love to at least spectate the goings-on in person. XD My goal is to eventually be able to focus my funds on just travelling and meeting up with people.
It's good to see you again. I can't believe that AA's actually over. It's quite sad that it's now a year untill the next one.
Thank you for for your kind words, I'm still smiling from that picture with you and Ray. I agree, we all NEED to meet up before AA2010.
I'm so glad I went in the end, these memories of AA will stay with me for the rest of my life. I'm already reminiscing about it and it's only been two days!
That seems to be the general consensus in all the post AA vids I've watched, everyone feels a bit of meloncholy now that it's over based not on the toys but on the people they met. That's the sign of a truly life altering experience, a time that, when you're well into your 80's, you'll always treasure as if it happened only yesterday. Or, something like that... I swallowed a bunch of pills, don't really know what I'm talking about. hehe :p
Hmm, been watching several of the video's now of people thinking back on AA09, but I cannot help but notice that nearly all of you, are literally fighting back tears from the good memories.
I find just those expressions alone tell me enough on how awesome an experience it has been for you all.
For a tattoo? I think a nice symbolic one would be to get a Decepticon logo, just outlines, then over the years let it be filled in by miniature symbols/acronyms for events that you want to remember.
Really wished I could have chatted longer with you too! Felt like we could have gone on for hours, didn't it? Started far too late! Next year! The whole weekend was just amazing.
Im glad you had a great time and enjoyed your self so much :-)
I would love to meet up with all you guys again. There was lots of people i would have love to spend more time with and its a shame its only a weekend.
I don't know whether it might appeal to you but i would love a Cthulu sign, Decepticon Logo, Snakes, the experience sign in the chinese language or tribal designs are always awesome.
An unambiguously wonderful experience, so it was. I've always considered a Decepticon logo tattoo, perhaps with a serpent wending in and out of the "eye sockets" >:)
hey George, it was a plesure to meet you sir! and my Transsqueeto is a good toy! also you are cool dude, and a gentalman, and yeah i gave you a death stare lol for finding a Gigastorm. but it was all in good fun. i will be up for a meet up before AA2010!
I imagine it won't be long before I melt beneath those death stares :) There have been many. Thank you so much! I certainly enjoyed our chats together. Looking forward to seeing you and your Soundwave at AA 2010, if not sooner.
man im glad you stayed the extra day think of everythin you might have missed on if you hadnt been there, im just have to say im sorry for not talkin to you enough man ,it was somthin i was looking forward to as well
I can't tell you how happy I am I made that decision :) Likewise, I'm terribly sorry that we didn't get time to have a proper chat. Never imagined that it'd be so hectic!
Sounds like you guys had a hell of a great time there; wish I´d be able to turn up to an AA eventually (if it weren´t for the organisatorial and financial hazzle to get there for a weekend from germany... :( )
Sir, thank you for the kindest of words. One of my my lasting regrets of this past weekend was not being able to spend more time with you and talk about anything lol. I'm so glad you had a fantastic time.
I do hope that your eye's better now. Fantastic doesn't even cover it; I was dancing on cloud nine, still haven't psychologically recovered yet :) I'm actually composing a comprehensive summary of my thoughts and feelings on the matter for the moonbase 2 forums at present. Expect much gushing :)
George it was great meeting you man you are a delightfull chap and a great person to talk to i was one of those who gave you a death stare lol about your giga storm but well done man and i caint wait to see you again in a meet up if we have one or at AA 10 talk soon man take care
What can I say? We had such fun :) It was a genuine pleasure meeting you (though that won't keep me from mentioned gigastorm just to rub it in ;) ). All I can say is: roll on the next meeting!
I haven't actually attempted to race them yet, but it might be fun to while away an afternoon with. Now, what other motorised TFs could I include? :) Mr. B. did indeed cut a fine figure, even tottering around with bottle in hand ;)
George myself and Trish were so happy to have met you this weekend. Your such a lovely down to earth guy and spending time hatting with you was one of so many that I will cherish forever. Im glad your joining the forums and skype. If you search for destructionsnakepit on there you should find me easily
Yes, that was annoying :) I'm not a very competent lip reader or signer, I'm afraid :) Sorry that we didn't get much of a chance ot sit down and chat,
im so so gutted i didnt come iv never been to a convention so i didnt know what i would think of it but it looked so much fun i would of had a great laugh!! im going to go next year hopefully meet you and every one else
