His back swing is way inside... its what he does on the downswing that counts. No matter how you take the club back you must come down on plane. He does, which is why he hit that ball straight as an arrow.

If Bobby could do what he did with hickory-shafted clubs, inconsistent golf balls, and shaggy course conditions...just imagine what he would do today with the equipment and courses the way they are. It would be like cheating for him.

Is this 2 plane or 1 plane swing? . I read Bob's swing was 2 plane swing, but here it looks to me like a 1 plane swing.

Here is a good way to tell if someone is a one plane or two when watching these type of videos: grab a toothpick and hold it up to the screen so it is on their club shaft. When the player swings down if their club shaft is higher than it was at address (above the toothpick through impact), they are a two plane. If the shaft is online with the toothpick (same as address) then they are one plane. A lot of people claim to be one plane in their videos on here but are actually two plane.

@soxfan2007papi Nobody is one plane. The shaft always comes up from where it was at address when it gets to the top of the backswing. The concept of a one plane swing is pure bullshit.
