@Neorantu thats wrong it just seems like people are standing around in Aion you actually have to move around much more than Wow As where the combat is almost real-time style and range and movement play a big role
@Rzr8kX except for boss raids, since once the tank starts to hold perfect agro on the boss, every other player just need a good solid position to do whatever it's job it needs to be done. Other than that, movement is required at all time due to the nature of the "mob vs player perspective" properties and etc :eg. those lepharist mob's escape sequence at 25% hp
im not criticizing this game at all but i just wanna know if this is just a hack in slash? like thats all it looks like to me, in wow you actually have shit you have to do in a raid boss encounter, dodge fire, bite raid memebers, jump in and out of black holes, i just saw everyone standing around hacking, no tactic, no challenge. idk looks kinda lame to me
there are not many interesting bosses. aion is more focused on the pvpve between races, however since the long grind to get to that level to have some fun, many people left and the game flopped. WoW bosses are a lot more fun.
@McBadA Ive played Wow and Aion. In Aion you have to move around much more because range plays a big role in combat. The combat is almost realtime and its a little more realistic than Wow's system each class plays an integral role like it should play instead of 1 person or the same class doing everything.
No tactics? ROFL the whole game is about Group Tactics Duo Tactics and Solo Tactics Bish. Black Claw, Ice Claw, Fire Temple, NTC, Mumu Village, Abyss ect ect. those are a few of the toon of places where u can't survive with out a good Strategy
why whenever i watch these boss fights , are the people recording them never fucking doing anything to help the fight. i mean seriously, ur just running around doing pretty much nothing! WTF

well i tryed to play aion but comparing that i played wow since vanilla in my aeys this game doesnt have complicated mechanicks in raiding that's way pve in aion i worst then in wow but you cant play the game cose it hase nicer grafic engine and zero mechanick but still i would play this game for pvp tho so it's not that bad if like pvp more than pve
the only reason wow hasn't got mad graphics is becasue they cater to all users, they are smart cause alot of people cant afford high end PCs to play hardware demanding games, and that's why wow wins over the rest

I played Aion. After 25 it becomes grindtastic and just not fun. I played 6hrs straight and felt like i didnt get anything. I reactivated WoW.
Before someone goes WOWISEASYGOGET UR EPICS LOLZ AION IS FOR PPL WITH EFFORTS. Well Grinding = effort? i dont think so. Hitting 4 buttons for 1hr or for 6hr, there's no skill different, its just a difference in time not EFFORT.
And dont get me started on the fail gathering/craft system and the pain-in-the-ass-who-thought-of-that-shit aether extraction.
At 25 at least there are two dungeons and the Training Grounds around that level and at 30-35 there is Fire Temple but from 35 on there isn't SHIT. And Templars (tanks) SUCK ASS and can't kill anything. So I went back to WoW. Everyone brags how at high level you can drag 5 people to you...SO, what good does that do when you can't kill a single one!!!
Look i dont know where you get your information but when i watch a ranger its all they do is move backwards to kite, i played a ranger and it was just annoying how much kiting is involved.
Pay monthly and for the install not good. I could pay for the install but not monthly. Why would I do that the point is not to do payments like wow see this suck now. Do the math in wow each year you pay 180U.S.D not including if you want to do extra things. for one blizz didn't fail by making T7 look like old tier they did it because only a handful of people were able to get the vanilla naxx gear and there bringing back the old tier onyxia heads for nostalgia reasons.

Any game could be better than wow. Me? I'm playing this game for an MMO that's slightly different. So far, it seems about the same status quo. Not saying it's a bad game, really have to play more before I get a verdict out.

not necessarily a ripoff, per se. It used the interfaces of a couple other games including Diablo. But diablo is blizzard anyway so they have the right in that sense of the argument
Past MMO's were a template for Blizzard to work with in developing WoW. Most games designed nowadays usually look at older games and see what works and what needs improvements.

Wow is slowly going for death. I have played several MMO's and wow was the worst. I had alot of fun but it had ruined my grades at school. Though I got them good again I realised wow had completely brainwashed me and I felt the need of quiting the game immideately and I was pretty happy after that. I also played Age of conan - It wasnt a true fail, it was a very hard and nice game though many players didnt like it. I also believe that AION will be a great game for many gamers and will be great!!
even if the game is not a "WoW Killer" it will be a good game. warhammer didn't do so well at that because of the sheer fact it wasn't polished at all, and still isn't. i don't know how EA lets them get away with that.
the only reason why this will be a wow killer is because blizzard is ruining the game with easy raids and lore. i dont even think blizzard really cares much about wow. they expect they will make alot of money from diablo 3 and SC2 and then when the new MMO they are working on releases, wow will be gone. thats why i think they are only making 5 new levels for you to gain and are still selling the new expac for the normal 50 bucks. they just want to make one last quick buck off the game
Well that's your own analysis... I think that if they ship it "only" with 5 levels, it's because people complained there wasn't enough "end game" content with liche king.
If you create a few hundred less quest and items needed to make people level with quests and not monster bashing, well you free up a lot of time to create endgame content...
As simple as that. WoW is a huge IT project, and all projects have manpower, time, and budget rescritions. What you spend here cannot be spent there.

At the rate good MMO's are coming out these days. over half of WoW's population will be gone before Cataclysm is even out. WoW had a good (almost) 5 years and I"m not saying its going to die with Cataclysm, I'm just saying it will be a mediocre expansion like WotLK was. Either way I'm looking forward to this game and am hoping to get it in a few weeks of release. My guess is Blizzard will finish WoW off with Diablo 3, my guess is that at least 30% of all WoW players are gone now due to new RPG's
Lol classic WoW was great at its time I will admit that, the "Hardcore" 60 raids, now its just some whiny in kids in naxx when an epic drops and you take it. Thats why i quit. Oh and to those people who think aion is copying WoW, WoW copied EQ which copied something else and so and so forth. Hopefully this game doesnt't turn into what WoW is now and all the whiners stay in WoW lol.
I think this boss probably has a semi-AoE attack where it does damage towards what it is facing, which would explain why the tank has boss turned away from the rest of the players.
Thats pretty much it. This boss is not important in anyway. This is not an instance so no body has to do this, he is just there for ppl who decide to fight it. That and it probably drops rares.
Yes but the abilities also cant be that dangerous, when they are completely random. If you compare em for example to the abilities of the Erredar Twins in wow, your whole raid would die in a second without knowing the point of time to do sth against it. WoW is also playable without addons, because every Boss annouces his next specialability. My only problem is, that I cant see any kind of animation or damage on the raid on the basis of a bossattacke, so there is only the damage on the maintank.
Just to inform anyone with questions about ross bosses in aion, it's basicly going to be the same as in wow, but the abilities used by the bosses are random. For example, in wow after a boss uses an ability it takes 30 sec for it to do it again. In aion the boss will do an ability, have its cool down but will use the ability at random after the CD to stop people using addons, this will also bring a difficulty too for those who have to interupt or move out the way, etc.
guys only lvl 40 dude and think yeah wow was like that wen wax lvl was 60 then a bit hard with 70 and alot harder with 80 u have to think of these thing aion will be a very good game at the end of this

Well considering that WoW has been the biggest MMO since everquest, of course people are going to compare the two. Most people have played WoW so its easy to make a comparison between the two MMO's since they are the same genre of game. I mean look at other Vids, why do people compare this with LotR online, AoC, War, and EQ, its cuz they are all the same type of game
I do think that this game will put a hurting on WoW, due to how many people were dissapointed with WotLK. And i really hope this game stays difficult, because thats what makes MMO's fun. It not supposed to just be some walk in the park thing, it should take time, and achieving goals should be rewarding, unlike in WoW were its just too simple. WoW, we had fun, but Aion's got mah attention
Amen, I gave up after they made WoW easy as shit. This looks promising. By no means will it kill WoW because WoW has a majority of the online gaming communities scrubs, and no offense to them being casual gamers, but they ruined the game for more hardcore raiders. Which should mean this game will stay hard, as it is attracting the attention of everyone that left WoW BECAUSE it was FAR too easy after BC came out.

Ty makes a good point. Remember that back in vanilla wow, almost every boss was a tank and spank (with a few exceptions obviously). It might take some time before we can sink our teeth into the good stuff. Just a few weeks now...
He is a free-roaming raid boss. This is not an instance so he wouldnt have any special moves or anything that would require any strategy other than a lot of ppl. Im sure that the instance raid boss will though.
Okay so stand there and hit stuff sounds hard. At least WoW has some strategy and movement. This is honestly like watching an old school EQ raid where you just tank and spank. I don't see anyone having to move or pay attention to anything other than what buttons they are spamming.

I was runing oryginal FarCry on my old computer on full details. WoW wasn't able to work with it on full details.
And well I remember every single NCSoft game and ppl saying "It will be WoW killer". Aion is theyt 5th game and I don't care about it any more :D. I just keep playing WoW because every single game blizard relased is great, unlike NCSoft ones.

You dont even know anything about Aion. Last i checked Aion has about 3.5 million subscribers and it will only increase once the western version of Aion is released in a month. And if Blizzard hasnt fixed the whole chinese server debacle yet that means wow has about 5-6 million subs. And this is old footage. Aion is a very viable alternative to wow. But if you like getting spoonfed rewards and easy mode content then stick with wow ffs

I played Aion. After 25 it becomes grindtastic and just not fun. I played 6hrs straight and felt like i didnt get anything. I reactivated WoW.
Before someone goes WOWISEASYGOGET UR EPICS LOLZ AION IS FOR PPL WITH EFFORTS. Well Grinding = effort? i dont think so. Hitting 4 buttons for 1hr or for 6hr, there's no skill different, its just a difference in time not EFFORT.
And dont get me started on the fail gathering/craft system and the pain-in-the-ass-who-thought-of-that-shit aether extraction.

At 25 at least there are two dungeons and the Training Grounds around that level and at 30-35 there is Fire Temple but from 35 on there isn't SHIT. And Templars (tanks) SUCK ASS and can't kill anything. So I went back to WoW. Everyone brags how at high level you can drag 5 people to you...SO, what good does that do when you can't kill a single one!!!

Pay monthly and for the install not good. I could pay for the install but not monthly. Why would I do that the point is not to do payments like wow see this suck now. Do the math in wow each year you pay 180U.S.D not including if you want to do extra things. for one blizz didn't fail by making T7 look like old tier they did it because only a handful of people were able to get the vanilla naxx gear and there bringing back the old tier onyxia heads for nostalgia reasons.

Any game could be better than wow. Me? I'm playing this game for an MMO that's slightly different. So far, it seems about the same status quo. Not saying it's a bad game, really have to play more before I get a verdict out.
Personally, I'm looking forward to ToR online. ^.^ I'm a major SW nerd.

Past MMO's were a template for Blizzard to work with in developing WoW. Most games designed nowadays usually look at older games and see what works and what needs improvements.
So ur statement is true persay but , u could pretty much say the same thing for every other game you have played or are playing now.
There isn't very much room for originality in games nowadays. What more is there to do but Improve?

Wow is slowly going for death. I have played several MMO's and wow was the worst. I had alot of fun but it had ruined my grades at school. Though I got them good again I realised wow had completely brainwashed me and I felt the need of quiting the game immideately and I was pretty happy after that. I also played Age of conan - It wasnt a true fail, it was a very hard and nice game though many players didnt like it. I also believe that AION will be a great game for many gamers and will be great!!

even if the game is not a "WoW Killer" it will be a good game. warhammer didn't do so well at that because of the sheer fact it wasn't polished at all, and still isn't. i don't know how EA lets them get away with that.

the only reason why this will be a wow killer is because blizzard is ruining the game with easy raids and lore. i dont even think blizzard really cares much about wow. they expect they will make alot of money from diablo 3 and SC2 and then when the new MMO they are working on releases, wow will be gone. thats why i think they are only making 5 new levels for you to gain and are still selling the new expac for the normal 50 bucks. they just want to make one last quick buck off the game

Well that's your own analysis... I think that if they ship it "only" with 5 levels, it's because people complained there wasn't enough "end game" content with liche king.
If you create a few hundred less quest and items needed to make people level with quests and not monster bashing, well you free up a lot of time to create endgame content...
As simple as that. WoW is a huge IT project, and all projects have manpower, time, and budget rescritions. What you spend here cannot be spent there.

Agreed. We played mostly with hardcore raiders who had been playing the game since release. They complained about the state of the game. I don't know any really new players irl. GL though, WoW is fun, but will eat your time away. I failed a year of highschool a few years ago because of WoW : /

I managed WoW just fine in High School. All four years that is too. During one of those years I even got caught for smoking weed on campus, twice. Between the two I finished that year just fine and the wrest of High School itself. If you can't know when to stop, that is your fault.

At the rate good MMO's are coming out these days. over half of WoW's population will be gone before Cataclysm is even out. WoW had a good (almost) 5 years and I"m not saying its going to die with Cataclysm, I'm just saying it will be a mediocre expansion like WotLK was. Either way I'm looking forward to this game and am hoping to get it in a few weeks of release. My guess is Blizzard will finish WoW off with Diablo 3, my guess is that at least 30% of all WoW players are gone now due to new RPG's

Lol classic WoW was great at its time I will admit that, the "Hardcore" 60 raids, now its just some whiny in kids in naxx when an epic drops and you take it. Thats why i quit. Oh and to those people who think aion is copying WoW, WoW copied EQ which copied something else and so and so forth. I think this boss probably has a semi-AoE attack where it does damage towards what it is facing, which would explain why the tank has boss turned away from the rest of the players.

Yes but the abilities also cant be that dangerous, when they are completely random. If you compare em for example to the abilities of the Erredar Twins in wow, your whole raid would die in a second without knowing the point of time to do sth against it. WoW is also playable without addons, because every Boss annouces his next specialability. My only problem is, that I cant see any kind of animation or damage on the raid on the basis of a bossattacke, so there is only the damage on the maintank.

Just to inform anyone with questions about ross bosses in aion, it's basicly going to be the same as in wow, but the abilities used by the bosses are random. For example, in wow after a boss uses an ability it takes 30 sec for it to do it again. In aion the boss will do an ability, have its cool down but will use the ability at random after the CD to stop people using addons, this will also bring a difficulty too for those who have to interupt or move out the way, etc.

Well considering that WoW has been the biggest MMO since everquest, of course people are going to compare the two. Most people have played WoW so its easy to make a comparison between the two MMO's since they are the same genre of game. I mean look at other Vids, why do people compare this with LotR online, AoC, War, and EQ, its cuz they are all the same type of game

I do think that this game will put a hurting on WoW, due to how many people were dissapointed with WotLK. And i really hope this game stays difficult, because thats what makes MMO's fun. It not supposed to just be some walk in the park thing, it should take time, and achieving goals should be rewarding, unlike in WoW were its just too simple. WoW, we had fun, but Aion's got mah attention

Amen, I gave up after they made WoW easy as shit. This looks promising. By no means will it kill WoW because WoW has a majority of the online gaming communities scrubs, and no offense to them being casual gamers, but they ruined the game for more hardcore raiders. Which should mean this game will stay hard, as it is attracting the attention of everyone that left WoW BECAUSE it was FAR too easy after BC came out.

There is no game that will be the "WOW-killer". The only thing that will kill WoW now with it's population is a slow death by new technologies.
Aion will be sure to compete with WoW in numbers. But WoW won't die. Hell, people are still playing EQ, UO, and RO.
Eventually, WoW will dwindle in numbers, that will be the 'death' of the game, it won't be outright canceled.

I was runing oryginal FarCry on my old computer on full details. WoW wasn't able to work with it on full details.
And well I remember every single NCSoft game and ppl saying "It will be WoW killer". Aion is theyt 5th game and I don't care about it any more :D. I just keep playing WoW because every single game blizard relased is great, unlike NCSoft ones.

You dont even know anything about Aion. Last i checked Aion has about 3.5 million subscribers and it will only increase once the western version of Aion is released in a month. And if Blizzard hasnt fixed the whole chinese server debacle yet that means wow has about 5-6 million subs. And this is old footage. Aion is a very viable alternative to wow. But if you like getting spoonfed rewards and easy mode content then stick with wow ffs

After I saw first Aion vids I sayd "Another NCSoft crap, like Lineage 2". 2 years pases, game was relased at Asia ale WoW servers in china are full.
There was no plans for European version before it failed in asia.
I play WoW for great, scripted PvE and lore. Aion lack both of this things, got weried music and 3D anime graphic.
And well, as of next patch Wintergrasp limit will be 240 players in zone. On PTRs it NEVER made any1 lagg. Laggs in WG starts with 400 ppl in zone.
