  • all respects to the Allman brothers Band, but Molly Hatchet owns this song

  • one of the very few covers that is better than the original version

  • this is a great freaking song, but you have to make your dreams come true, you have to be the miracle you are looking for, only you can make it happen for you.

  • DNIS! My new personalized license plate!

  • @mrskisanger before you go and order those you might want to change it to DINS - just sayin'

  • that's awesome bro....danny joe was an awesome guy...even gave his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ before his passing. Was an honor to be able to see and know him at his peak. An honor to plug in my Les Paul custom and rip their great music now too. Still rockin after all these years. Blessings....michael

  • @zwfantastic That's awesome !!

  • Life in 2011 and so on... Dreams I'll never see!

  • that 70s show....

  • My high school chemistry teacher used to play this album before class nearly every day in 1982. Very cool!

  • One of my all time favorite songs--cool cool and did I say cool video??

  • Good music is universal, if your in TUNE. and certainly NOT a bigot.

  • @mongomartin1 Thanks for uploading, love the art, sounds great.

  • This song opens up portals in my universe and really excites my right brain hemisphere!

  • Check out the the Molly Hatchet cover of Free Bird, from their Double Trouble live album, I never thought any band would do Free Bird justice, but they do!

  • Wow This one is like Cool Art !!!!...

  • Heard this version before I heard the Allman Brothers original. I actually thought the Allman Brothers did a great cover of this song, the first time I heard their version. But the Danny Joe Browns' voice and the way they restrained the guitars through the first part then finally let them really cut loose make this my favorite version.

  • im three months old and I like this too. Also I don't appreciate what all the great artists who have died have left behind for us , their music. I don't feel like it's up to us to spread the music, i prefer to moan about it on the internet and bash another music genre.

  • best pump up song ever

  • Ahhh music from a time when musicians made music.....no computers just straight up ass kicking talent ......back in the day when i used to play it was one of my favs to play out on my Les Paul

  • A lost time....they were called musicians, they played instruments, not computers....they sang in their natural gifted voices that needed no computerized augmentation.....they wrote lyrics that touched the soul.

Songs like this make me weep for the present and the future. Talent is dead.

  • RIP Danny Joe...

  • very very nice

  • Saw them in 79 at the capitol center in DC... They rocked! The mood and the light show when they did this song was awesome... It was like when I saw the Who play Baba O'Riely there... Was blue lights and wind in your hair... So cool there are nor words for it

  • The rhythmic guitar strumming is hauntingly beautiful.

  • THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME SONG....HEARD IT ON SERIOS RADIO BACK TRACKS THE OTHER NIGHT AT WORK....HVC LOGAN LAKE BC

  • She creeps back into my thoughts when I hear this. God, she was so long ago. But with the love I still have for both her and this song the pain and joy I feel when it plays will forever be worth it all.

  • Lakotabob, God bless you and your loss. This song gives my minds eye a vast view of our worl today. Simply, whenever this song is played on the local station here in Tucson, I HAVE to crank it waaaaay up!

  • Being I love lots of types of fantasy art, I did enjoy this! Thanks!

  • Most cover tunes don't live up to the originals BUT then there's this. It's one of those songs that the first time you hear it you go buy it. I also love the slide show. I must learn how to do this. Thanks to Molly Hatchet & Monogomartin1

  • I Want Revenge! bit . ly/jerku

  • great video but the song kicks ass.

  • Always one of my favorite Allman tunes. I like this version just as much if not better.

  • One of the most dynamic southern rock tunes of all time, and I love how Molly Hatchet totally makes this song their own, even improving upon the Allman Brothers fine version.

  • love this version better than allman brothers

  • An epic album from an epic time musicaly. Danny Joe...rip. In their day to this day,one of the best rock/s.rock bands that will ever B. Thanks for posting.

  • @chopngratty I knew tru would dig it, didn't know babygirl was into ole southern rock too! awright, lets show 'em how blondies do it, break it on down with me sugar! uh huh here we go......;) -lil momma-

  • @floridashorti I am into whatever sounds good..my ears love it all! One of my very first concerts was the allman brothers, kick ass concert, went home deaf and satisfied ! southern rock kicks ass!

  • @TruSp0t less of course you talking about the piece? made ya wanna purchase more bullets:)?

  • I like this version but the Allman brother band is a 100 times better, again don't get me wrong it is really good...good job!!

  • love this glad to know that others know that the allman bros did this first still great!! makes me feel young

  • where do I find the posters you used

  • Used to love this cruisin' in my 67 and then 68 camaro now a jag but definatly a crusin' song all the way thanks:)

  • There are few songs where I think the cover is better than the original. Most of those involve Bob Dylan singing the original lol. This is the exception. Hatchet speeds this song up to the pace it should be and makes the Allman Brothers original seem like a bad 'lude trip.

  • @Bubba2112 lol!!

  • This is an awesome classic that makes ya wanna get on your harley and haul ass !!!!!

  • This song just makes you want to get up and dance!!!!!! I don't care how long it is...I love it!!!! This song is so underrated!!!!

  • You don't have to have a buzz to appreciate this music, Just kick back and feel it!

  • Well said. It's in the music...the feel is there.

  • Great tune mixed with great memories. Thank you for posting.

  • We All Have Dream's and this song Got Me Thinking ''Of ..........A Lot more then i ever Had.

  • This song is infectious in its greatness !!

  • I LOVE those inflections in the guitar solo at 3:41 and 3:43. Well, I love the entire solo for that matter.

  • Beautiful lakotabob!!! Fiat Lux!! Elder Tom

  • I always loved this song but it has taken on it's true meaning since the passing of my Beautiful wife, Athena. (Aug. 30, 1959 to Nov. 2, 2009) I hope "Dreams I'll Never See" give strength to other guys who find themselves in my situation. True Love Never Dies and Soul Mates do continue on. Till death do us part but, that's only a temporary situation. Don't fear death ... fear falling short until then. - It's only a little while. Our Dreams will simply come true in Heaven, instead of here.

    Peace

  • lakotabob

I too lost my wife of twenty-five years on Aug. 10 of this year. A pain like no other.

    Sorry for your loss.

  • @lakotabob sorry guy you will see her again:)

  • Thanks. My heart just skipped a beat and my eyes just welled up, again. "Forever Friends" ya know? Toughest thing I ever endured, are the dreams I'll never see. - To see her again though, I'm counting on it. Peace!

  • @lakotabob

Just saw your post and I sense your loss. Although we are strangers, I wish you peace, joy and fulfillment on your journey. Rely on your relationship with your creator to see you through. Let music and all other things inspire and connect you to meaningful things that enhance your life; live your life with no regrets. Dream, live and act on your passions. You will be reunited when your physical life's journey is over.

  • @alanvan1 Thank you, Alan. Your words mean more to me than I can express. I will always nurish the belief. Mindful and hopeful to walk again with my *Forever Friend* - Thanks for your kind words. Best wishes to you. Peace.

P.S. I thought "Dreams I'll Never See" was a great song when it first came out. Man, it just gets bigger ... for me. Have a Great Day, Buddy.

  • God bless man in keeping with the situation..... you have much of what the rest of us long for.. you know Love and most of us simply wish we knew it...... (-:

She knows as you do.... what it really means..... Gratitude for telling us.

  • @MarkNeyrinck - Mark, I think the one word people forget is, "Harmony." No matter what Disharmony the world around us inflicts, try harder to maintain the Emotional Harmony in yourself and with the one who shares their heart with you. We are not simply human beings experiencing a Spiritual experience when we feel inspired rather, we are spitutual beings experiencing a temporary human experience. Love, is eternal. Happiness, is Heaven's Miracle. I very much appreciate what you told me. Thanks.

  • @lakotabob GOD bless you my friend. so sorry to hear .i love good ole music.it can help ease the pain(a little)take care!!!!!!!!

  • @lakotabob

That's on e of the nicest comments that I've read on here in a long time. Thanks you LakotaBob for your candor. It's refreshing!

  • @lakotabob I'm sorry for your loss. Those passed on including my beloved Dad liked this band. God bless. I loved this tune when I first saw these lads in Springfield, Mass. in 1979 when they tamed us Yanks along with the Outlaws that night.

  • @Tippersnore It was in new Haven CT in 79 of June I saw them with the Outlaws as well.

  • @lakotabob I'm so sorry about your wife. no one should ever go thru losing someone that close and loved. my prayers are with you my friend.

  • @lakotabob Sorry about your wife Bob,Nothing I can say will console you.But I ask you do what I did not do.Only God can fill that void. All the sex, drugs and beer can NEVER fill that void.I am blessed with another wife but In his time he will bless you with another wife.He knows your pain and loss.God bless you Bob and pray you find another wife and love her like the first one.Peace Brother.

  • @Snoopy4406 I, too, tried to fill that void with all the wrong things. It took way too many years to discover that the gap I was trying to fill was a God shaped hole. And i discovered that He is not the cosmic killjoy that so many make Him out to be. Still rocking, and now having a truly good time now.

  • @TheSpeedknob Last week at 2;15AM snoop passed away due to liver cancer. He enjoyed chatting with people like you.Just thought you should know that.I came here cause I loved this tune and thought just by chance YT would have this song and happend to see the comments.Take care and God Bless.

  • This may be considered "classic rock" but, I LOVE getting old if this is classic!!

Thanks so much for posting! Reminds me of the "good old days!"

  • I played in a rock & roll band back in the late 70's. This was one my favorite tunes. My brother sang this song, but his voice wasn't close to Danny Joe Brown. He passed away in 1985 way before his time. This song reminds me of the good old days when we played on stage together.

  • this song ...probably better then the original never got the respect it deserves . truly great version

  • Ther is only one way to play this song in my book......LOUD!

  • wow molly you guys are awesome

  • You know I was on the way home from work one day and I heard this song on 101 the Bulldog out of Gainesville GA I gotta tell you they do not make this kind of music anymore. I really miss it. You know how sad things are when the rock station makes a big deal out of Guns and Roses Chinese Democracy.

  • Thank you!

" Climbed up on the Hilltop, Baby,

" See what I could see, yeah"...

    I LOVE THIS SONG!!

All my friends promised to play this tune at my Funeral [hopefully many years from now!]

Thanks Rick L. for turning me on to these guys!!

  • Great Song

  • Saw these guys in "80". My ears rang for three days afterwards. And, I still see Dave Hlubik's red sunburst Gibson! Old rock never dies, it just gets better!

  • @pbrussum Wild Hog Boogie 1980 Little Rock Arkansas :D

  • @pbrussum You damaged your eardrums. You were too close to the PA?

  • My neighbors are starting to complain because I crank the volume when I watch this! I love the Allman Brothers but this version rocks!

  • Excellent! I'm impressed!

    Mostly good intentions though.

Molly schooled this boy. I still wish it was like the old days though. The music was so much better.

  • This was hot in Canada we made sure every one could hear this song through two Marhsal amps

Out in the bush, blasting this turned up to 11 and that great smoke the yanks were so screwed up they just sat there.

  • um, this band is from Florida.

  • Hell yes. :)

  • Road trip anyone?...oh yeah...reminds me of my 79...Trans-Am motoring..doobie burning...old lady riding shotgun tooling down the backroads of Southern Indiana...where did it all go? Oh well, still got the memories!
