I loved this game, until 5th continent came (which was yesterday). It changed everything, the game became completely different. First you could get gear through doing dungeons, now everyone needs to craft their own gear with their professions. So that means you quite some money to have alot of gear. All the gear from before the patch are useless now, well atleast everyone got a free skill reset.

Don't say I don't know what I'm talking about, I play on the korean servers.

@MrGordonification Nah, it's not dungeon, it's world wide exploration with what looks like an in depth story and unique combat that looks fuking sick. I can't wait for it to come out. Though I will probably try Guild Wars 2 because i played the very first one for a while and it was alrightttt, I didn't like the level cap being so low, and casting and pvp in the game in my opinion was complete garbage. :P But GW2 will probably improve all that.

I didn't say it's not good, but its far from being unique or "the best mmo". I played GW for 5 years starting from CBT and was really looking forward to GW2 that I drove 25 hours just to play it and to be perfectly honest, it was a big disappoint. But hey, it was only a demo, obviously there will be updates so hopefully the new content is better.

Also those demos used at conventions are usually what is used for the CBT, so pretty sure I got most of what it will have to offer once OBT/Full release comes. But like I said, new patches will probably change things, but that will happen over time.

Anyway, for all the hype it got, it was disappointing BUT it is still a great game.

I'm still going to play it once it's released.

thats the same as almost all of the hyped asia grinder.

it will take years for the release in Europe/America, but they will hype it to death ---> one month after release at least, half of the players will notice that this game is just another asia grinder with great graphics.

and Blade and Soul is the next one, first release date for the US was Q2 or 3 in 2009 (!!) , now its Q4 2010 and it will at least take another 2 or 3 quarters.

(I bet C9 wont be released until 2012)

boss monsters drop items in rarity as in most other games.

grey = normal

green = rare

blue = unique

orange = elite

a good pvp character so far seems to be the elementalist or assassin depending on your style of play, both are good beginnner characters too.

however the other classes can be beastly too if you know what you are doing.

classes dont seem to be unbalanced so far from what i have played.

it is free to play,

they have a "stamina" system, each dungeon run you do uses up some stamina, you have a daily limit of 100 stamina, and an aditional weekly limit of another 200. if u run out of stamina u cant grind. but 100 and 200 is pretty sufficient untill the higher lvls i guess.

there are cash shop items that help you regenerate stamina i presume, and others othat give you stamina etc etc etc.

crafting is neat, there is alchemy and item upgrades/reinforce etc etc.

@Exshinrasoldier Stamina system! Thats sounds excatly like Vindictus token! In Vindictus you get 50 sliver tokens to pay for boats, and are replenish every mon, thurs, and sat (lame for the huge gap mon-thurs). So we get 200 stam a week or is it reseted everyday, as long as we dont have grind and search for super rare items im ok with it, Vindictus is one big grind, rare items, titles, materials take like 50-100 runs. Only an idiot would spend cash on more play time, not worth it and expensive.

im up to lvl 50 atm, and no two runs of mine are the same lol.

sure you may need to grind for some of the little quests, but it in no way feels like a non-stop-grind-fest. farming and looking for the drops you are after exists in every MMo.

@Exshinrasoldier Thanks for the info, it would nice if mmos have some kinda of system that allow you to skin or take items off the corspe like their weapons, armor, accessories, etc to craft it into something else, rare items will be in the pocession of challenging enemies or bosses. Then random item drop system is getting old its in every mmo, and I think its time for something new like how mmos are going torwards the action base gameplay, its just an idea.

the crafting system already exists in C9, you can make rare, unique and some insane Elite items with kick ass stats.

there are different professions to choose like alchemy, cooking, crafting etc. which one you go for and master determined what kind of items u'd be making, high health potions, food buffs, gear ,etc. ^^

this game can be played in minumim specs mode.

it doesnt look at all flashy, but its still playeable.

only problem i have is right now i dont understand much korean lmfao, there are some english guilds that can help you out lots when you start. gameplay is predictable even if u dont know korean, quests sometimes revolve around dungeons (those are the only quests im able to compleat atm).

combo and skill system is awesome!.

bosses are nicely done too, they also have combos.
