  • its a moped?

  • jaja el flaco que filma se muere de ambre!

  • @gary lmfao

  • THE NEW WAY 4 THE MEXICANS 2 GET ACROSS THE US BORDER !!LOL

  • that shit is hottt lol

  • That is cool as all get out :-)

  • I thought the poles would be chopped down as he's passing by XD

  • @twohandtap funny comment :D

  • i'd rather just use the pedals. you weren't much slower than him and like Response166 said, that would piss a lot of people off with that noise. maybe if it had a transmission system of some sort so he could keep the revs down, that would be better.

  • mexican style

  • Lols I friggin want one reminds me of my old go ped but looks more fun

  • is that diesel? hahahahahaha IDIOT

  • @tedb545 i wish there was such thing as a diesel chainsaw

  • ballin

  • /watch?v=1EgdMGe5zJU

  • try hitting your front brake while doing that =p

  • dear santa

  • waw

  • needs an fmf fatty

  • He's a mile east of the police station. Engine off and rider pedalling soon on that ride. This guy rides East Honolulu, I ride my motorized bike in West Honolulu. One day we'll meet on the road..

  • i bet people are thinking, hmmm, that a fucking big log he cutting

  • if he hit something it would be over with

  • That is not a chainsaw, that is part of a goped. They can get anywhere from like 2.5 - 7 Hp I believe. I had a superbigfoot with 7 HP and it could do 40mph and wheelie all day until the spindle needed replacing, which was frequently.

  • The chinese used to drive these to work. Now that they have our jobs and cars, they sell us chinese copies of Russian bicycle motors for $200.

  • Okay people i think we can put this dude is squid category. Flip flips no helmet and no mirror. Like nails on chalk board

  • So good how much horse power does it have

  • Pedalling is how he starts the engine.

  • engine every time he stops the bike. The rider could mount the engine on a pivot/hinge. Every time he stops, he could lift the engine off the tire and keep it idling. It'd be a whole lot easier to ride than bump starting at every stop.

Most weedwhackers and chain saw engines don't have clutches sturdy enough for the bike to pull away from a stop.

  • of it was motorized then y wuz he peddling at 1:29 - 1:37

  • unique mechanisim

  • what i hearing ? the sound of V2 1300cc Harley ? :)

  • I ride my motorized bike in Honolulu too. Chain drive, shifts through the 8-speed cassette. I thought my bike was loud, but this one is SUPER loud.

Brother, use a motorcycle helmet and protective gear!

And ride in the middle of the lane. You're fast enough to keep up with traffic.

    That motor's got some balls!

Must be a real pain to kill the engine at every stop.

Aloha, brother. One day, we'll cross paths and exchange ideas.

  • rear part of goped! hahahaha

  • i love when people talk to me while im on the phone...

  • what would happen if he falls of xD

  • cool but next time u make one i would go with chain drive because u wont go threw so many tires!!!!!

  • hahahaa

  • i hope he is able to disengage the motor, did it look like he was able to

  • @pyroman675 it looks solidly mounted the small tire cranks over the motor and by pedalling it will turn the motor over so the only way to disenage it would be to stop so it would stall

  • @yammyUFC4life i was thinking of a bar that would be on a hinge under the motor and when you push it down and it would lock, and with a little it of a switch/button/leaver(what ever one suits it) hit that and that would let the sprins push the motor down on the tire again

  • pffahh thats a back of a go ped not a damn chain saw

  • it would be a bitch to change the tire

  • its a go ped engine.. whith a good hp setup.. looks like he use the weel as a spindle.. think he use the whole go ped engenine mont.. great job

  • nice pipe

  • that is soooo cool, he is a smart crackhead

  • how fast did he go

  • Wow...Awesome idea like it loads

  • its cool because u can still pedal, and transfer it on other bike easily

  • thumbs up if he would get hit by an on coming car in your country haha

  • @DeeSquad fail.

  • look like goped motor to me

  • SUP HAWAII,RYT BY SCOOTER ALLEY,,

  • illegal immigrant???

  • dude... its a goped welded to a bicycle lol!

pretty good idea, looks like he just chopped off the back half of the scooter.

  • He's gone doesn't look like it has a clutch My weed eater scooter doesn't have a

clutch but it start's easy any way's fun hobby I'm going to get a chain saw with a clutch so it stay's running when I stop. How fast do you think he was going you were keeping up pretty good there. NICE VID LATER.

  • Good for crossing borders... :P

  • It's freakin' cool :>

  • awesome ^^

  • yer it looks like one wheel spining the big wheel now thats thinking smart

  • thats a goped engine

Hey everyone check my page... i made a chainsaw bike with a Homelite 240 + I built a real pipe for it !!!

  • thats so badass lol, I could not stop laughing

  • ha he left you in dust

  • He got DUI ...

  • hahaha! wtf, thats cool.. xD

  • wtf its not a chainsaw i a goped rear end

  • that got more power then what it looks

  • is this legal?

  • of course! its technically still a bicycle just with motor assistance

  • @starshock01 And illegal in any sane country. At that speed, with added weight. That thing has the same stopping distance as a containership.

  • @TheNecrocoil Dont you mean illegal unless the government can collect tax revenue in any sane ( nanny state ) country, too many shit laws taking away everyones freedom, there are third party insurance issues I agree, the scooter cost a lot of dosh while the bike was faster and cheaper haha

  • @starshock01 so it's a.....motorcycle? huh

  • not in NY

  • that guy pisses a lot of people off with that sound haha

  • I would like to hold the brake slightly down until the metal grinds and turns red hot that would be cool. =>

  • Dude, that's fast!

  • i kept wondering what the heck, then i realized that he took an old goped frame and mounted it.

  • fast xD

  • what is so cool! Hope he has some good brakes on that bike! Like others comment- the NOISE!

  • cool!!

  • Is it loud enough? hahah.

  • Need gears.

  • he looks like filipino

  • oh that's so innovative!!

  • Spencerian - ive never gone to the honolulu critical mass but ive wanted to. so is it still going strong? whats the turnout like? im thinking of going next friday.

  • dapol333 - the Honolulu Police Department shows up at the event and harasses everybody. They make everybody prove ownership of their bicycle by checking their registration. They also follow and ride along the bicycle crowd. People stopped going when the cops started harassing bicyclists. I went on the past 2 rides, but there were only a handful of people.

  • thanks for the update.... i'll still try to make it tomorrow. and believe it or not, i actually ended up seeing this guy today on my bike ride. he was ripping down King st.... that thing is super loud!

  • When? I would be very interested in this

  • mrwallaby - It's supposed to be the last Friday of every month at 5pm. They meet at the Hawaii State Capital, at the end of Hotel Street and Richards Street. There's usually some bikers hanging out on the grass, waiting for other bicyclists to assemble. Prepare yourself for the police on bicycles, wanting to check your registration to see if your bicycle is legit. Their intent is to intimidate and prevent Critical Mass people from assembling..

  • @Spencerian thanks,

  • @Spencerian you have to register a bicycle in America???

  • @Spencerian thats pretty bad when they start harrassing people on there bicycles, i meen really.

  • @Spencerian Show up in cars with signs saying something about how a bike would take up smaller space.

  • cool

  • Anyone made an electric version like this? Noise is too annoying...I want stealth!

  • you got burned

  • Hope he has earplugs and better brakes also.

  • miagi84 - It never occured to me that the noise could make the guy deaf!

  • @Spencerian i had one of these, its a lot loader when it's in front of you, when you ride it it's not too bad

  • @miagi84 Are you stupid? Earplugs for a 2 stroke motor? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You Wow what a fail. LOL you don't even. wow. your stupid.

  • haha the guy on the right at :1:52

  • That's awesome. Good to see you posting again Rob.

  • since there is a speed limit on cars do they have speed limits on bicycles? just curious.

  • DiewLayLowMow - I suppose the limit would be the same as cars. I never had such a problem, since the speed limit here is 30 - 35mph, and it's tough for a bicycle to maintain that speed.

  • video 100 :D congrats! btw about the chainsaw bike i used to have one back in the day when i used to live in cuba :) its probably the weirdest thing to see one on the streets of hawaii lol mine was mounted on the right side of the frame underneath the seat, it had a spring pulling it down to the tire and a clutch to pull it away to start it (the whole motor) and the bike frame was reinforced after it broke because of the vibrations produced by the 56cc chainsaw :) it would go 90-95 kph

  • unreal men , only bad thing is if he crashes he doesnt have any protection

  • I made one similar to this, but i build mine from a kit. I used a 80 dollar beach cruiser and a 120 dollar engine kit. 200 bucks and i can go about 30 mph

  • Hey is this guy in Oahu that runs this bike ? If so I see him all the time, fast too !

  • erikinhawaii - yeah, it's in Honolulu. This was shot on Beretania, just before Punahou.

  • LOL , yea I see this guy over in Hawaii kai freaking flying ! The thing is loud as shit though. Though then again people in Hawaii don't care about loud...

  • That's pretty sick, man--

  • Interesting. How does he control the throttle. Looks like he had to peddle start? I'm curious what kind of MPGs he gets. It would be fun to have.

  • ehh, looking at the vid again i noticed some road rash on his left elbow... probably hard to control with those skinny ass tires....still cool to ride...

  • ehh, that is f ing crazy shit... jason britton should use that for his next stunt show.....

  • i saw this guy on Kalanianaole! he was fast!!!

  • rob did that guy just smoke you in 1st gear? haha : )

  • delamo88 - yeah, couldn't keep up with him riding one-handed on the bicycle.

  • Hey Rob, what type of camera mount do you have for cycling?

  • bebop00 - I don't have a camera mount. I was riding one-handed and holding my Kodak with my left hand.

  • Yeah... that's what I've been doing too haha. I really need to come up with something so I can have full use of my hands while riding/taking video. If you come up with some sort of DIY camera mount that isn't too difficult let me know.

  • i've seen ones with refrigerator motors, pretty strong too but idk if they could keep up with the chainbike...

  • WOW.....that is soooo cool. Great idea!!!

  • Is his bicycle brakes strong enough to stop the bike while going at 40mph?

  • Anavengertg - Apparently so. He originally passed me and then stopped at the light.

  • Holy shit!

    Human/chainsaw powered hybrid

  • Hahahhahahahahahahah

  • bloody brilliant!! :D

  • Actually, he blasted past me earlier. I had to chase him down on my bicycle. Luckily, I had caught up to him at the stoplight. I liked the way it automatically started when he started pedaling.

  • LOL! that's so funny. Kids have Scooters here in the UK and they sound just like that lol

  • that thing rolled out!! wonder if it is street legal?

  • haha awesome stuff and yeah nice and loud :) i love it

  • thing is super loud

  • NICE! I want 1.

  • LOL! that was awesome!

    :D

  • beeeeeeeeeeeeeee, lol cool stuff.
