just wondering, i recently got a sig p229 22lr. I was reading my instruction manual and didn't see anything about dry firing. I want to know if it was okay to dry fire my gun being a 22lr.
Good video. I also bought the Xmas special at $249 and change but I unfortunately got one of the problem kits and it's extremely difficult to mount on my P226R .40S&W frame. I've tried pushing on the barrel and moving the .22LR slide past the slide lock lever but neither of these "tricks" works. The skin on my now very sore thumbs is worn off trying to move the take-down lever. So, I've given up on this kit as it's too much work to put on and take off. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, sigpower sells a custom follower that will lock the slide back (they also make a mag plug that will increase your capacity to 15 rounds).
