This is awesome, and I just say your Poltergeist video to the right and can't wait. I've seen a lot of covers, and this is the first one that has a voice substantially different from Shiina's while still being really good.

I wish I could introduce her more successful to other people here (USA), but I think it sounds different if you don't understand any Japanese. People also don't respond well to her voice's "edge," even though I think it distinguishes her from the thousands of Good Singers.

@BenkaiDebussy I have trouble introducing Shiina Ringo to people too. The music is just brilliant, but I think most people can't see past the 'uniqueness' of her voice to appreciate what's behind it. Her voice seems to be something you either love or hate too. It's interesting to see who is into it and who rejects it straight away!

I tell you though - I'm playing a Japanese gig in a month and it's hard to find Japanese songs as strong and effective as Shiina's.

@CaityJayMusic I also have a bit of a problem with this...I want so many people to know, but no one wants to give it chance. It's always "I can't relate to music in other languages, blah blah blah@" To hell with them all.
