Most likely you should.Also depends on the tranny and mods of the ef also. Not alot of people have a type r tranny so you have one up on alot of people including myself.
The ls has more torque for one and 2 it depends on which tranny they have.The gearing is what matters the most. Ls vs. b16 is always pretty close it comes to the driver and tranny. By the way I have a B16 CRX so I'm not an ls guy. I'd much rather have the high reving vtec.

Watch my vids I have a b16 LSD tranny boosted Aslong as im in vtec I get insta spool so longer gears mean nothing but HIGHER SPEED to me and shorter means faster Accel. Im one of the few people that put money into the tranny before anything else. Dont even argue inless you got a vid of your car doing 0-60 in 3.8 seconds

thats no B16... there is no way it is that slow even with the timing off by a tooth and a half... even if it was like that, it would be faster at top RPM depending on which way the timing went off... an LS EG would walk away like that... or u juss forgot to down shift
