I wanted t buy one of these, but i finally had a lucid dream randomly by telling myself i was dreaming in my dream. one of the weirdest experiences of my life.
Do you ever sleep-walk? You may just have poor short term sleep memory. It's not uncommon to arise for WBTB, remember many dreams and completely forget them later. With the ND you must train yourself to specifically recognize the flashing red lights as a dreamsign. Do this before bed or during WBTB. Set the # of flashes to 60 with 1 second pulses. With closed eyelids watch the flashes and affirm the red flashes are a dreamsign. Repeat this 5 times by holding down the RT button.
I wanna buy one of this gadget. I've noticed that novadreamer is (temporary) out of stock. Any suggestions?or maybe you sell the similar gadget? If you do, i'd like to purchase one. tx
Did the battery terminals look corroded when you replaced the batteries? If so, clean off all the residue with a Q-tip then brush them with a fingernail sander or 600 grit paper. Look at the board on both sides for broken or burnt parts, or cracks in the board. The PIC IC (CPU) is probably okay but may need to be re-seated. Give all that a try first and write me.
one of the terminals was coroded. I cleaned it with 400 sand paper. Everything on the board looks ok, no cracks or anything like that. But still no luck. Any other ideas? thanks.
The next step is reseating the PIC chip. It is the long one with 18 pins. It can be lifted by putting a small screwdriver in the ends and alternately prying upward. Do not pull it out all the way, only lift it out about 75% and push it back down. This should wipe any oxidation buildup from the contacts. Good luck.
I really appreciate you trying to help me out with my Nova Dreamer, especially when I see that they are out of existence.
That is, unless you have one that you could sell to me. The first day when I had tried to work it again, I had pulled out that chip and looked at it. It looked ok.
Anyway your instructions seem to work. I put in another set of batteries and now it turns on but there is just a steady light in the LEDs somtimes.
I cleaned everything now. All corrosion is cleaned up. One time it lighted up and stayed on until I pulled out the batteries, but just one time it did that. Now, it's like it's just dead. Any idea how or where I could get another one?
I have a Nova Dreamer since 1996 which I paid $275 for. I didn't use it for about 6 yrs. When I tried to use it last week for the first time again, it wasn't working.
I would like to know how I could get this thing fixed. Maybe replace the cpu of rom chip or something.
no the basic and pro will be available, but im pretty sure the money actually is worth the difference because the pro has alot more settings and features.
the minimum you could pay for the pro is 800 anything less would be a rip of your money
and expect prices up 1200 for the pro'
but im pretty sure the pro is worth the money and its better than the basic
could you tell me WHY these cost SO much? isn't nearly a grand a bit much? i mean, how much does it make to make one of these compared to retail cost?
Hi there. I was wondering if your impart some information.
I was researching the Novadreamer and found that the lucidity institute (on their website) were planning to release a new Novadreamer. I was wondering if you happen to know if it is ever going to be released (or even know of a release date) or do you think I should I should buy a Novadreamer that is released currently on various websites.
Keelin at the Lucidity Institute said that its release was delayed and due out before the end of the 1st quarter of 2008 (end of March). That's all I know.
I don't understand why lucid dreaming is not done by many? It's awesome!!

@SlowNMlow Once in a dream one of the characters told me I was dreaming, with no provocation whatsoever. That was really, really weird.

the basic nova dreamer costs about $200-$300 depending on where you buy it from
the new nova dreamer, or a.k.a nova dreamer pro will cost around $800-$1000 depending on where you buy it

Will the Pro be the only type available?
As in, if I wanted one, I'd have to pay a minimum of $800?
