  • Hey thanks for your reply :) I am not too sure what speaker cales to get for these speakers though. I am using the main outs from my mixer, which are jack connections and I think the connection on the speakers are xlr?

  • @OwenBailey87 Look for a cable that is Jack to XLR

  • @JLDJUK thanks, but a male or female xlr connection?

  • Hey just ordered a pair of these today, I heard they are really good quality. Would you know what balanced xlr/jack cables to get for my mixer into these speakers? male or female ones?

    Thanks

  • @OwenBailey87 Good choice :) fantastic speakers. Male and female just describe the type of connection, wether it has pins or holes. guess which one is male and female :D You will most likely want male to female unless you mixer has some strange strange outputs :)

  • Great review bro. I had a quick question though,

I purchased the speakers myself a year ago. And I'm missing a part that came with the speakers and I'm not sure what it's called. I was hoping you can help me find out what it's called.

It's a screw that you screw on to the back of the speaker when you mount it to a pole to avoid the speaker from swiveling. If you have any idea what that's called so I can order it, I would appreciate it :)

  • @djedwnpk Thanks :) Not sure what it is called. Its just a threaded bolt. I would contact RCF :)

  • Good review. I like how you get excited about opening up the box and then testing them out. I'm like that too.

  • awww. NOTHING like the feeling of getting the items you always wanted in the mail! Love those days myself

  • hi mate, glad you like those speakers, iv just bought the QSC K12, and these things kick ass, i was looking at loads of speakers, including RCF, EV, i did buy yamaha DSR112's, and they were VERY good, but the bass was a little on the light side, so i exchanged them for the QSC's....im so glad i did

keep the vids coming matey, i enjoy watching them, as im starting out as a mobile dj (been mixing for years)

    good luck

    MARKDJ*

  • @TheMarkDJ I have worked with QSC active speakers before and they always sound amazing. My memory of them though is they were very very heavy. That might just have been the model I was using though :) Glad you like my videos and got lots of exciting stuff coming soon :) Thank. Joe

  • Wow! those are incredible!

  • would you recommend this for outdoor use with 200-300 people... does it produce really good quality of sounds?! thank you...

  • @MrKorean30 You would have to push them loud if outside. A bass sub would be important.

  • @JLDJUK Can you hook a powered sub with a powered active speaker? You cant hoook an amp to a set of active speakers correct ?

  • @bluex217 You can hook up a passive and active system together. The XLR audio isn't specific to active or passive. You could go from you mixer into the active tops and then through the XLR out into the amplifier input for the passive system. Or you can get a speaker management system that splits up the XLR to the speakers and amps (also controls EQ and other stuff)

  • really wish i had got these

  • hi mate ive got these speakers and i use them for mobile djing! however after playing for about 3 hours they warm up and the sound stops! any ideas of what causes this?

  • @TheDjnickyg That sounds like a fault with the speakers. Send them back

  • hi, where did you buy these from?

  • @mickyj0121 Hard To Find Records (HTFR) :)

  • @JLDJUK would you recomend these for mobile djs ?

  • @mickyj0121 Yes. Thats what I use them for :)

  • I would like to ask u a questions oh anybody that can answer it plz. When u got the speaker turn on just the power on,, do u Guys heard like a shuuuuu coming out the horn/tweeter plz I help I just got a pair I just want to make sure I had plug it into every electric plug in my house I just want to make sure if that's is a normal sound

  • @raulinx007 Thats not a problem. Just a little electrical interference you would get with any speaker

  • @JLDJUK thanks a lot

  • The do sound great! But, when you get the sub you will be blown away how awesome it sounds. We did a wedding recently and the crowd wanted me to turn it up. My chest started to pound from the thumping of the sub. lol

  • I have them exact same speakers plus a 15" 800 watt RCF sub that I bought 1 yr. ago. They are the BEST speakers i've owned. I get so many compliments on the sound quality.

  • @waveydaveyb I am looking to get a sub soon. Just need to get the money together :)

  • @flightdogt A lot, just google it

  • 3:46 "Holy shit" I LOVE IT.. HAHAHAHA :) These things are beast. I have 3 of them coupled with Yorkville LS801PBs. Saving up to get a fourth.

  • @myperfectdj They are awesome!!!

  • HI JJDUK In your video you have only set them up in a empty room just wondering what situations have you used them and how did they sound then?

    thanks

  • @djmisbehaviour I have used them in much larger venues and they sound great. It all of course depends on the acoustics of the venue

  • RCF knows how to build great sounding speakers. they've been doing it forever. I've got 4 of the 310As. Simply amazing little boxes. Don't let the 350 watt rating fool you. They are 350 real RMS watts fed into efficient woofers and horns built by one of Italy's most respected speaker manufacturer. Sound quality is excellent as you have discovered. I see so many videos of people talking about their 1000 watt this and that they got on Ebay for 200$. They need to hear a pair of these.. Al

  • @alpoulin1 With you there. Also the way companys say these speakers will go 1000w!!! (peak). So they can do 1000w for that fraction of a seccond but the rest of the time they run at about 500w. Its not power you want. You can blast it out until your drivers melt but if the quality is crap you may as well be using a megaphone. Thanks for the great comment :) Joe

  • Are they passive so dont require an amp??

  • @MrMusicMan181 They are active so they have a built in amp. They need no external amp

  • great to hear.. let me know what you decide on... i still have to get my speaker changed out so that will buy me some time!

  • Thanks for the review! just unpacked my 2 art 312a's tonight and one of the darn speakers has only sub coming out of it! suckkkks! Played around with the one complete working speaker and im thinking i want a little bit more base.. any recomendations which rcf sub to get? or maybe two subs?? ideas?

  • @saucesquatch I am looking into getting a sub at the mo. I would have a look on the RCF site

  • Are they heavy?

  • @PolishGuy89 In terms of speakers no. They weigh as much as my old speakers (which weren't active)

  • @JLDJUK, Thanks, they looks really nice. I'm trying to save up currently for a pair.

  • Unboxed a box, How nice :)

  • Hey man, I have a pair of these and I was just wondering what speaker stands you have, would you recommend them? Thanks

  • @jfabarker The stands I have are really crapy. They cost me £20 for the pair and I bought them for my old 8" speakers. The stands were perfectly sturdy enough to hold them but its not as good with the RCFs. I am going to be getting new stands soon

  • @JLDJUK Happen to be ProSound ones?

  • They look awsome id love to buy some shame ive already got a peavey system lol :D

    thanks :D

  • fuck they sound nice- even through you camcorder speaker and my laptop speaker!! cant wait to listen to them in person(and buy a pair)

  • The 90 decibels your other speakers has, is the sensitivity. They play with 90 db @ 1 Watt input (which is not that much. Mine is around 98 db @ 1 watt.) but you can find speakers on the other side of 100 db @ 1 watt

  • @Markus3400

And everytime you go up 3 db, you need twice the amout of watt.

    so your 400 watt speakers CAN play. 90 db = 1 Watt. 93 db = 2 watt. 96 db = 4 watt.... 114 db = 256 watt

117 db = 512 watt . So they only play around 115-116 db, which is NOT a lot for a 400 watt speaker. So your RCF's will be a huge improvement :-)

  • Very good review.

  • Awesome speakers, ive heard them before at a music store, and they have a really nice sound! How much did you get them for?

  • @pstrand01 They were £850 for the pair :)

  • Awsome !!

  • HAHAHAHA CLASSIC :)

  • Lol you sure are excited about them. Congrats. Mackies woulda been sweet too.

  • @ReidCipable That's the HOLY SHIT THESE ARE THE BEST SPEAKERS ON THE MARKET excitement. haha

  • best speakers on the market !

  • Cool vid

  • Nice one! Better than prosounds :)

  • wish i had 2 of those 4 subs and 2 QSC k-12 as monitor
