  • ahaha Hank Azaria is tha best in the movie xD

  • Pronounced TANDIE

  • oh shut up, I'll pronounce it however I want.

  • Alright-Take it easy-

    I was just sayin'-

    Geez....

  • Personally I would've rated "Run Fat Boy Run" higher (don't know how your rating system is exactly) There were a lot of scenes that had me laughing out loud too, and yeah it borrows some cliche plots, but it's not like his previous movies weren't cliche-free. Besides, I don't think they really take away from the movie if you ask me. In all I'd say this is a movie I'd definitely buy on dvd, along with any previous movie starring Simon Pegg, I don't know why but he's just so likable as an actor.

  • I love your humor.

"those are the kind of people that would laugh at a squirrel wearing jet skis or something."

  • HEY!! DON'T DISS LONDON

    also

run fatboy run isn't a simon pegg film

    he just stars in it

  • whats wrong with london?

  • YOU SUCK!

  • How could you review this movie and not talk about the best part... Dylan Moran. His character has the best comedic moments in the whole film.

  • SPOLERS BELOW

She agrees to a date with him in the end/wrap up scene, the implication is she is pretty keen on him again as she is so eager to say yes. Pegg turns his life around and has got fit due to that one race that he didn't train very hard for. Even before that; he only finishes the race because he is inspired by newton Showing Up. Hank Azaria is inexplicably transformed into a shit bloke. The only way it could have been more cliche is if he won the race

  • teadrinkor- I guess that's it right there, she agreed for a date and I was expecting he would be moving right in. Sa'll good though , I agree with ya,

  • It IS a cliche ending. It's horribly cliche not to mention inconsistant. In fact I can't think of any aspect that they put in that was original. I honestly can't work out what you are talking about when you say you'd have prefered a cliche ending

  • teadrinkor- well, it didn't end happily ever after. The guy didn't get the girl. They went out of their way to make her man a complete douche and make simon pegg look like he can win her back and then he doesn't.

  • Well im a fan of simon pegg im still watching it

  • I didn't like the "emphasis" on you calling him "what a loser" and this video makes you out as a snob and elitist.

  • williamthemighty- dude, I emphasized loser cuz they made it seem like he was a loser for working security in a retail job.Now about that term "elitist" I've been hearing that term tossed around a lot. If you're referring to how I speak about his abandonment issues then yeah I am snobby about that.

  • williamthemighty- I do have something against people who abandon their responsibilities. If that made me sound snobby on the review hey what can I say, it's my honest feelings toward the film.

  • Sorry , but it and come off a little strong . You do make good reviews but, I just don't like the term "loser" and have some really strong feelings about it .

I shouldn't have called you a elitist but it was a really strong emphasis and it was just how you said it .

sorry and hope you have a good night !

  • williamthemighty- Well I think when I'm coming off sarcastic i'll work on saying I am. I only meant said loser like that because it seems anybody who works retail is a loser and I don't believe that at all, retail is some of the hardest work out there.

  • i bet he's probably mad bc he's a security guard himself. lol

  • you make a good point. check out my response

  • I think he was talking about the character, not Simon Pegg!

  • 'I know it's London, but...' ouch! lol fair review, I too am a big fan of Simon Pegg, but seeing the trailer to this told me right away that it wouldn't live up to his previous work. I'm going to give this a miss.

  • HerzogsShoe- It's juuuust a joke =) I've been to London and something seems to happen after the sun goes down. It's a madhouse. I was scared to walk the streets and this coming from a guy born and raised in New York City. thanks , If you are still a fan of Simon Pegg maybe Rent this,he's still good.

  • Personally I found this movie to be a joke. It was so sentimental, boring, dry and completely the opposite of what you'd expect from a Simon Pegg film. It felt so... American.

  • Distantj- yeah I agree with you, my last sentence summed it up, without Simon Pegg there is no reason to see this movie, That's how I felt at least.

  • Yeah, couldn't put it better myself. The parts I appreciated when that guy from Black Books whose name I always forget had no trousers on, twice, and when Simon Pegg's character responds to an interview question with just an exhausted noise. Heh.

  • i haft to say i dont agree with you at all... as a matter of a fact i almost never agree with you on any of your reviews. but that doesnt mean iam gonna stop watching keep up the goood work i supose. iam huge simon pegg fan as well so i guess we have some of the same movie taste.

  • mullen15- well I always encourage intelligent discussion here, put up what you thought of the movie. I always appreciate people who have a different take on the matter and don't end up saying "you're wrong you're stupid!" so thanks for that. I'd like to hear what you thought of it.

  • i was going to say what i though in my comment but i didnt want to type like 3 paragraphs. so here it is,

I really liked this movie. Even though I usually hate romantic comedies but this had a special place. I think the opposite of you when it comes to the beginning becuse it did a really good job of character building. But I also think Dylan Moran (Gordon) stole this movie and i was just waiting to see what he had to say next. The ending was great as well. I actually was cheering for Dennis.

  • mullen15- dude when you got a view on a movie write away, if someone wants to see this movie its good that they get a different (spoiler free) views on the matter. thanks for posting.

Anyway, thanks for the info on this movie. I figuered it would be kinda funny (not Shawn or Fuzz funny) But it seems to me you cannt have Pegg without Frost. Those two are just a winning team

  • The Honest Truth as usual (^^)

I too HATED those attention seeking shorts

  • Did this film just come out in america? I was released in the UK ages ago. I loved this film, but I did find it rather predictable. Good review Fury.

  • Did you just call Simon Pegg fat?

  • vikesluvr- he's fat for this movie.

  • Great review

  • spiderfan95- thanks man

  • Great Review as always! Could you do a review on Funny Games?

  • vegetta65-I think jamesthenintendonerd owns that department.

  • Wait... Mr FuryoftheFilmFan Funny Games isn't a game well in a way it is... It's a movie by Micheal Hanke. You could easily find the trailer to the film on youtube. I myself already seen the film Saturday in fact, and I would like to hear your opinion on this film. The film itself can be dissected in various ways.I have a feeling you would leave from film and at least admire what the film was it's trying to do and say about it's audience.

  • vegetta65- hehehe, ok you got it I'll take a look at it. thanks for saying my reviews are great, means a lot.

  • Hey man no problem. You do fantastic work and are deserving of receiving praise. One last thing before I end the comment your currently reading is that in my previous post I failed to mention that Funny Games is out in theaters however it's in limited release so that may be a problem.

  • Great Review as always! Could you do a review on Funny Games?
