What I confused about is, if the body was put to display in the 16th century, did they use glass or any material to protect the body without covering it

Do you think it would be appropriate for a woman to have her dead husband's corpse displayed in her house because he was a wonderful husband? What would people think of her? What would the community think of her? And more interestingly, what would a court think especially if she has kids living in the same house?

Thank you for this very much for this inspirational vdeo. As you say St. Vincents bones and heart are perfectly incorrupt and have been placed inside a wax figure of his body. His relics can be seen in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul in Paris.

Does that mean however that he is not incorrupt? The body we see here is a wax effigy is it not? I do not mean to be disrespectful as I very much admire this man and his mission.

Well, if the definition of 'Incorrupt' means that his whole body is perfectly preserved, then I suppose he is not (though I'm no expert on it). But I do know that it's a blessing to even have what we have. :)

We were there this past summer. We stayed and prayed. We were the only ones there. I also felt very sad, because where I live we have St. Vincent DePaul food pantries in many of our Churches. The stay quite busy each week that goes by. I just felt there would be a church full of people there to pay homage to the man that gave his life helping the poor.
