  • And he gave you extra horn after he passed!! :D

  • @trinityct Hahaa I thought that too but he had to do that becasue that freight train was parked. The engineer needs to blow the horn because there could be a worker that could come out from between one of the railcars. So they do that to warn them.

  • @dcarpine28 Ah..... It's like on the NEC when an Acela meets a local commuter train. The engineer has to do minimum one crossing sequence to warn the passengers inside. Ive been inside an MBTA train when this happens, the passenger cars shake! :O It could be enough to make a walking passenger stop to regain their balance, but nothing much :)

  • @trinityct Yea I have hears thhat on some videos. I love when a fast train goes by and it shakes the cars. Your in the middle ofall the action!! :D

  • @dcarpine28 The doppler is sped up a bit as it passes you, so the horn makes a doppler before the train even goes by!! :D

  • That was beautiful!!! :D what a meet!!! And #90214 sounds beautiful as always!! ;D

  • @trinityct Thank you!! This was probably my first meet! 90214, I think Has, the best K5LA of all NPCU's on the DE.

  • Cool video. Love those old GP40s.

When the Downeaster is moving, is the engine in the rear pushing in reverse? Or is it being pulled deadhead?

  • @MrCzechers Thank You! Yep the Engine on the rear was pushing. The Downeaster works on a push-pull operation most of the time. The Engine that was leading is an NPCU (Non Powered Control Unit). Thank you For the comment!! :)

  • Awesome video.

  • @SignalHillProds ThanksTj!! :)

  • Nice meet!

  • @Engine201 Thanks Man!

  • The more the merrier for us OCD on trains!!! Hard to explain to those that aren't into trains, though! :)

  • @chuckusa1957 That's right. I just don't see why people don't like trains

  • Another wonderful addition to your work!!! Cook's Xng, nice bobble with the engines as they approach you! I wonder if the conductor felt the pull towardsthe Amtrak? You are becoming as OCD as Dan and I on the train hunting!!!

  • @chuckusa1957 Thank you!! :) I bet he did feel the pull. He must have been about a 2 feet from it anyway. I think I am too becoming more OCD! :D

  • Likely PO-4

  • Great catch - this was today?

  • @drc930 Thanks! Yepp this was today.

  • Awesome catch!!!

  • @TH3GR1FF13 Thank You!! :D
