This is by far the best quality video and audio for this on You Tube but the intro by Chevy Chase is tacked onto the beginning as is the band's entrance. They opened the set with "Children of the Grave" followed by "Iron Man" and then this version of "Paranoid" must be from the official compilation DVD.
It 'wonderful! This video is beautiful! I did not know there was a concert LIVE AID July 13, 1985. It was eight days later, I born! Then I watched the videos on youtube and other photos of Black Sabbath! I often recall this and I can not ever forget! Three of Black Sabbath (Ozzy, Greez, Tommi) look that had followed the fashion in the eighties. Instead Bill no, he did not follow the fashion but it was better that way! Fashion is not important to anything! Bill had gone mad and had longer hair!
che che ... if you compare this video whit the early ones, when ozzy was still in Sabbath, theirs a huge difference... like, You can see that everybody on a stage just doing it, because it ''has to be done'' not because they enjoy it... Sad. Sabbath was one of the greatest bands ever, but after they split up, they could never sound the same again... oh well, they all had awesome careers after that anyway ;}} Thanks for the vid!
Respond to this video... dead, dude i was there at 13 i lived 2 blocks away this was before moshing was big but let me tell u bro that was a philly crowd and it was f*ckin nuts
JFK Stadium was closed in '89 after a Grateful Dead show for structural instabilities. It was demolished in 1992. There are now 3 new complexes in the old sites (Veteran Stadium was also demolished and the Spectrum is also scheduled for the wrecking ball.) Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles), Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) and the Wachovia Center (Flyers & Sixers) are now standing in their places.
Live Aid was a multi-venue rock music concert held on July 13, 1985 (1985-07-13). The event was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Billed as the 'global jukebox', the event was held simultaneously in London (82,000 people) and Philadelphia (99,000 people). It was one of the largest-scale satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time: an estimated 400 million viewers, across 60 countries, watched the live broadcast.
@bkrbtlg08 It was listed as "Featuring Ozzy" because Ozzy had not been in the band for 5 years. Ronnie James Dio and Ian Gillian had already come and gone.
@huswsimonbla remember.. this was dozens of artists on this show. Black Sabbath and Judas Priest were the only Metal bands who appeared in the Philly site. There were some other metal bands performing in London, I believe.
Yeah, Philly had Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin on the same day, and that crowd was still deader than a box of hammers. Any other city would have went absolutely nuts. Look at the London crowd that day, with Queen and U2 and the Who; they made the Philly crowd look like a funeral.
@kevmoney2make Most of them were there to see Madonna and other pop bands. The only other "heavy band" to play was Led Zeppelin with Phil Collins on drums.
I think it's a B.C Rich Ironbird Bass
