I have a 2007 Mustang GT and i am thinking about getting these 5000K 35W digital HID's. Did you have to wire a relay or anything besides pluging in the ballasts and mounting and running the wires. and did you have to ground them?
The buzzing is normal, it's caused by the ballasts heating up. The buzzing goes away after 30-60 seconds. The same buzz happens with OEM HID headlights.
i just installed these but my hid's started off as 5000K and as the ballasts warmed up they change slowly to around 4500K with a little yellow tint in the white! anyone know if this will stop or be changed?@ZippoMan2005
an oem halogen is 55 watts. plus if u have the projectors u wont have any problems with the law. i have 12,000k in my car and never once have i been stopped for my headlights.
35-watt are plenty bright enough. It's the same wattage as the OEM HID system. I didn't want to stick out to law enforcement. 55-watt will not last longer, that makes no sense.
i want to order the 6000k HIDs but retros site is hard to navigate. u mind lisiting everything that you would need to convert the headlights on my 2010 v6 stang

OEM halogen is 55 watts, OEM HID are 35-watts. My HIDs run cooler than the stock bulbs.

Instant.

Do they have Instant Hi and low beams : P
Or those dumb Halogen bulbs on the side beside the HID bulb ? : P

@200twistatwista
They are bi-xenon bulbs. The single bulb does both low and high beams.

Your car didn't come equipped with stock HIDs?
eye1em 1 year ago
No. It's a $600 option and also requires the $300 security package.

I also don't like the OEM HID headlight enclosures, they don't look as good as mine.

Nice....any problems? I had a kit from another company but removed it because i had problems with the bulbs not lighting all the time.
55stangdude 1 year ago
No issues. If you go HID again make sure you buy from Retrosolutions and you pay the extra $20 for "bulb capping".
