The victim of a fatal motorcycle wreck this weekend in Overland Park was a Shawnee resident, police said today.

The accident happened about 2:45 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 69 near 151st Street.

Overland Park police identified the victim as Darren K. Wynn, 22.

A witness told police that Wynn’s black Honda sport bike was southbound at a high rate of speed when it careened off the west side of the highway and over an embankment before crashing. Police said Wynn died at the scene.
