Jay wasn't kicked out of the band , he chose to leave because of the problem that they had about Jay writing those things about Korea . But he probably wrote that because since he was born in Seattle and not Korea maybe he didn't like Korea at first. But Jay was important to the other members of 2PM but again Jay wasn't kicked out but chose to leave because he thought that he was a bad leader to the 2PM members and thought he would create a problem among 2PM so he chose to leave.
I found out about 2pm after Dream High so I didn't know Jay was in there until I did research. This video is heartbreaking, it's sad to see a member leave the group, especially the leader. He even admitted he was young and naive at that time, they should have seen his sincerity for Korea. He loves it now, that's all that matters. That's why we say the past is the past and we leave it there.
I'm became a hottest just a year ago. I first knew of the band when Jay Park wasn't around anymore. Then when I heard that he was the former leader, I felt that 7 boys might be too many for a boy band so I wasn't sad that he left. But after digging up the old 'Idol Army -2pm' to watch, I realised how important Jay Park is. He and his cute conspiracy thing hahaha! he wrote the message when he was new to korea, obviously he would feel like an outcast, awkward and maybe upset, thats probably the reason he wrote it back in 2005 because he was introduces into a new environment and culture. I don't blame him for feeling that way, but by 2007/9 he was able to adapt a bit more, so it was a mistake. i personally don't think they should have over-reacted that way, but then again if this didn't happen then he wouldn't be where he is now. :)

The main reason he left was proven to be exagerated by the media, go train at J.Y.P. for 4 years having little to no social life and only a few hours for sleep and tell me if you don't feel as frustrated as him.
Then he did a "mistake" which made impossible his come back to 2pm, yet the the mistake was never announced, but i'm sure it was about J.Y.P.'s competitors dealing with Jay for possible better contracts, that's how many entertainers screw their come back chances anyways.

i think this is what happened: jay was writing on myspace like i hate koreans they make me practice too much and its too hard for me. so people found out about that and it got all over and then a few days or weeks he wrote its getting better its sorta fun now but people didnt out about that until when jay finally decided to leave 2pm. i think this is what happened

Actually, all of the members of 2Pm agreed to let him go, since they said it was the best for everyone. Jay might end up getting hurt by anti's because of that, so they're trying to protect him by respecting his decision to go back to Seattle. I want him so back badly, so let's pray for that. :)

I know that this was a year ago and I never new why he left Korea until I read the comments he made five years ago to a friend on MySpace. He had to adapt to a whole culture as a teenage boy who said he practiced 24/7. He did not understand a word or did not like the food. He was going through a phase that most travelers do when they have to stay in another country for a lengthy amount of time.
@sheliene12 You go through a phase. The first phase will be the honeymoon phase where everything is great, then after a couple of weeks, reality hits you when you say to yourself "Holy shit. I am in another country" the lonely phase and the anger phase to where you hate everything about the culture. Once you get past those dreadful phases then comes the acceptance phase. He has learned how to adapt and has moved on and little things did not bother him like they used to.

I remember when he left. I wasn't a fan or anything at the time so I didn't follow closely the whole ordeal. It's pretty ridiculous he left because of all that. I think JYP handled it all wrong too. he wrote the message when he was new to korea, obviously he would feel like an outcast, awkward and maybe upset, thats probably the reason he wrote it back in 2005 because he was introduces into a new environment and culture. I don't blame him for feeling that way, but by 2007/9 he was able to adapt a bit more, so it was a mistake. i personally don't think they should have over-reacted that way, but then again if this didn't happen then he wouldn't be where he is now. :)

The main reason he left was proven to be exagerated by the media, go train at J.Y.P. for 4 years having little to no social life and only a few hours for sleep and tell me if you don't feel as frustrated as him.
Then he did a "mistake" which made impossible his come back to 2pm, yet the the mistake was never announced, but i'm sure it was about J.Y.P.'s competitors dealing with Jay for possible better contracts, that's how many entertainers screw their come back chances anyways.

i think this is what happened: jay was writing on myspace like i hate koreans they make me practice too much and its too hard for me. so people found out about that and it got all over and then a few days or weeks he wrote its getting better its sorta fun now but people didnt out about that until when jay finally decided to leave 2pm. i think this is what happened

Actually, all of the members of 2Pm agreed to let him go, since they said it was the best for everyone. Jay might end up getting hurt by anti's because of that, so they're trying to protect him by respecting his decision to go back to Seattle. I want him so back badly, so let's pray for that. :)

Just cause some fans were ignorant, doesn't mean you should quit on your team. I don't think he failed 2pm by writing whatever he did, he failed them by leaving the group hangin'. i understand that everyone's upset...but the truth is...JAY IS NOT COMING BACK. no matter how many people beg him, his contract is permanently terminated so he won't be in 2pm anymore. i know its sad, but all we can do now is move on and support both our 2pm boys and Jay :)

@R134able back in 2005 he wrote some negative comments about Korea and the korean people.. like how he felt that just because he didn't know korean culture that well everyone made it such a big deal, that he felt foreign and felt homesick.. but that was a long time ago and some jerks brought it up and it caused controversy. because of that he decided it was best for the other members if he left so it wouldnt harm them or anyone else :(

I know that this was a year ago and I never new why he left Korea until I read the comments he made five years ago to a friend on MySpace. He had to adapt to a whole culture as a teenage boy who said he practiced 24/7. He did not understand a word or did not like the food. He was going through a phase that most travelers do when they have to stay in another country for a lengthy amount of time.

@sheliene12 You go through a phase. The first phase will be the honeymoon phase where everything is great, then after a couple of weeks, reality hits you when you say to yourself "Holy shit. I am in another country" the lonely phase and the anger phase to where you hate everything about the culture. Once you get past those dreadful phases then comes the acceptance phase. He has learned how to adapt and has moved on and little things did not bother him like they used to.

I remember when he left. I wasn't a fan or anything at the time so I didn't follow closely the whole ordeal. It's pretty ridiculous he left because of all that. I think JYP handled it all wrong too. It seemed fans were forgiving and supportive of him. They could have said something like how he said this sometime ago and people change and opinions change. He lived in Korea a good while with being with 2pm and knowing Korean's so I'm sure his opinion changed. All so sad.
