  • I just ordered a Lego Strider PT just like yours...It's supposed to be here this Saturday and I'm already having a little bit of buyers remorse. I've just heard and seen so many issues with blade play and lock bar issues...it almost seems like a headache. I have a three day grace period to return it back to the dealer...don't know if I should take my chances and keep it, or just get a small Sebenza and not have to worry about QC (fit and finish / blade play) issues.

  • This was funny thanks!!

  • My first view of one of your reviews. Well done, it was concise and well detailed. Thx

  • ur humour was very successfull!

  • I've owned an SMF, SMF RW, SnG, and a PT.....sold or traded them all away. Way overpriced and overhyped for what you get. Plus the integrity of the company owners is very questionable.

  • @sturmgewehr70 - Dang, I bet you got totally ripped off trying to resell such ridiculously overpriced & overhyped knives then... what did you get, like half what you paid for them? Or less?

  • @FrenziedCalm No, irregardless of the sarcasm, I got my money back out of them. More folks than you and I buy into the hype as well.

  • haha, the best comparison ever!

  • How is the black oxide blade wearing?

  • Ha, "small" arms. The humor caught me off-guard. Hilarious.

  • I think I might get a SMF, what do you think? worth the buy?

  • @oromoto - The SMF is a BEAST of a knife. If I was going to war it would at the top of my knife shopping list. I'm not a fan of the Strider BLING like the CC and DGG variations. I like the pure simplicity of the basic military version. I like that it can be setup with an improvised wave opener using a handcuff sized ziptie. I like the handle and the blade shape ALOT. I am not a huge fan of the clip, it pokes out, catches and bends, but is easy to bend back at least... overall a thumbs up!

  • @FrenziedCalm I think I am going to get a RW-1 or the new SMF-T. If economy allows :P

  • @oromoto - I like the looks and functionality options of that RW-1 blade cut, its definitely one Strider upgrade I would consider for an SMF, I think its only like $25 extra too - very reasonable. Knifeart has RW-1 SMFs in both ranger green and black. Santa, if you are out there, I'll take the black one please!

  • @FrenziedCalm LOL...the only thing I don't like is the tiger stripe.

  • LOL you had me rolling when you pulled out your first cell phone. That was some funny stuff man. Thanks for the size comparisons...

  • Very good comparison vid.

  • Owning a Zero Tolerance, how do these compare to the Striders? Im contemplating getting a Strider but have a hard time justifying the cost when ZTs are cheaper and almost similar in quality.

  • @nosaj03 - I don't have a frame lock ZT, that would be a better compare. I think a better comparison for my ZT350 would be to Emerson. I'm just not a fan of flippers though and not much of a fan of assisted opening in general. The thumb studs on the ZT are hard to get at. I don't like the pocket clip either. I think the Emerson Mini Commander or Mini CQC-15 is a better choice than the ZT350, albeit more expensive too... i do want to try a ZT550 when it comes out

  • @nosaj03 In general though, I love the Striders, I think they feel like quality and should last a lifetime. I especially love the PT model, and really like the SMF. I suspect the only reason I don't care for the SnG as much is because I bought the CC version, which I don't seem to be a fan of... I will sell/trade the CC SnG for a black oxide standard SnG if I ever get the chance.

  • is the SMF similar to the military in size?

  • @PhillieBRidin I believe I read the military buys the SnG model, but I read that on the internet so it's probably BS LOL :)

  • @FrenziedCalm haha no, i ment the spyderco military, but i posted that at the begining of the vid and i forgot to erase it since you allready compared them i think? lol

  • Great video, keep up the good work.

  • Really liking your videos man!

Love to hear thoughts on higher end knives such as these. Crazy to see how much smaller the PT is vs. the SMF and yet there is only ONE INCH difference in blade!

LMAO were you refering to the Parody video I did? That ending cracked me up!

  • Where is that F#(%ing money tree!!!!! lol Great looking knives, i'm looking into buying a PT now. Thanks a lot! haha

  • @bigbubba5037 no money tree.. CREDIT TREE!! Gotta sell knives and guns to pay for these!

  • haha I loved the size comparisons.

  • @tjsulli790 someone I subscribe to did some crazy size comparisons a few weeks ago. I went back and tried to find him to give credit for the idea, but couldn't find it!! If anyone remembers that vid and who did it post up so I can link to it! It was hilarious!!

  • @FrenziedCalm

UKPK FRN - Outakes by CreativeOutletHobbie?

  • @PolarLightning THATS IT!! Thank you!! I will annotate to give him credit for the genius idea!! :)

  • Thanks for the great comparo!

You might try something like this for carrying the little one...for safety..

  • Great vid, Frenzy!!! Good of you to post this. Nice to see the comparison. Sooner or later, I'm gonna have to suck it up and get a strider.

  • @MrJimbofox and a sebenza : )

  • nice blades frenzied! good luck with that SNG. you might be able to find one on the forums.

  • Have you tried the Buck Striders before?

  • @CutleryNovice unfortunately no, I haven't seen available from retailers - are they discontinued?

  • Love that Strider PT looks like a great EDC.
