wow steve, a very fantastic painting of a fantastic musician. youre a brilliant artist, i know this video was made a couple years ago.. but please continue to do art, youre too good to stop, it would be depriving the world of something beautiful
who cares wether he traced the damn painting. it looks awesome. some people must be bored out of there freakin mind to pick on ridiculous crap like that.
Good work my friend. Did you draw it before you started painting? Did you trace it or use a projector? What show is that of Buckley singing the last goodbye?
Do you take a picture, vectorize it on photoshop, and then use a projector to get your lines? Then you paint it in? I imagine there are pencil marks on the canvas that we cannot see right? It is obviously not painted freehand correct?
I still dont buy it. I think it is a form of tracing. I could be wrong, but it looks like a tracing to me because he is not even using a reference photo while he is painting. Every single painting he makes is an exact copy, and have perfect proportion. Seems fishy to me. Different strokes. Cheers.
In all honesty I used to think the same thing. Maybe different artists use different methods get the results. Anyways, after drawing portraits and objects for quite a while and looking at it from memory and then from a distance, you begin to understand stuff like this is really possible ( I'm still a novice in my opinion). My personal teacher (well not personal) is Kimon Nicolaides. Brilliant man.
Im not sure what you mean, I can clearly see the under drawing on the MUSE painting. You can see it for about a second, just pause it. Im not saying that this guy is not talented, he may well be, I dont know for sure if he did not draw the under drawing or trace it from a projector. If he drew it great, if he traced it then its not that impressive is it?
Does it unleash your superheroes when you paint with your shirt off.

no this is pure skill. He's so fucking talented he can project the image in his head and translate it into canvas (or some other technique)

i asked him about this.
he sketches it first then paints you dont see the pencil sketchings on the canvas bc the pencil marks are too light for the camera to catch.

do you use Photoshop or anything to change a photo so that you can get the lines of tone for your pop art style or do you just do that naturally?
either way, fantastic painting, as are all the rest!
