  • So excited that we are learning this dance in my dance class right now! Its sooooo much fun!super duper hard!!

  • Um Tony has a FANTASTIC ASS

  • Not going to lie, after seeing the performance of this while it was on Broadway, I honestly felt that Anita would have been a much stronger Maria, though it is hard to tell vocal range for the part.. but her acting was OUTSTANDING. I'd never seen a performance of this show with an Anita that wonderful. True story.

  • That Bitch is WHITE Not Puerto Rican >:{(

  • @CharlieRoj Not P Rican, she's of Italian descent from Argentina.

  • I wish I saw this show before it closed... oh well.

  • Maria is sooooooo adorable :)

  • 1:43 is absolute insanity

  • Jet girls too revealing? We're gang sluts. and It wasn't supposed to be period, that was the point. I don't personally agree w/ doing the show in a vague timeless way, I like it set in '57, but this particular production wasn't set in the 50's.

  • The mini dresses, in what is now a period piece, alone trashes this and makes it laughable.

  • Is the actress who plays Maria from Argentina? Her accent is too melodic for a Puertoriqueña.

  • @chiara1194 Yes, she is :)

  • The Dance was AMAZING!

And Tony and Maria are just adorable! :)

  • I didn't really like the Jets' girls costumes. A tad too revealing. But, overall, very good.

  • i dont like this maria...theres no passion btw the lovers

  • I love how they're all badasses and amazing dancers.

  • @daveedo10 If they knew how to dance to the mambo, they would've moved their hips.

  • Man, this one should of won a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

  • I love how they're all supposed to be in high school...

  • @Rentisgreat I love how they run with their hands extending in front of them.

  • i love this musical :)

  • "My hands are cold, you'res too, so warm"

"You'res too" "Ofcourse, they are the same"

HUH? How the heck does any of that make any sense....it bugs me every time we do this scene in rehearsals

  • @Piccolo13 look at the stage mannerisms, you'll get it then.:]

  • @Piccolo13 Both sets of hands are cold until they make contact with the hands of the other person. This mechanism is" the same "for both people. That's how I interpreted the lines

  • @Piccolo13

    Their hands are physically cold.

Their faces provide warmth for their hands.

The whole point of the musical is to prove that human beings are all the same... you know... the subject of discrimination and equality.

  • @JordynsPoetryPannier I hadn't noticed that they were touching their faces too....it makes a bit more sense now, at least the "so warm..." part

  • Oh the poor dear, her voice cracked. Well, thats live theatre i guess

  • @littlehagg94 I still thought she sounded great.

  • @daveedo10 Oh I agree as well! This is my favorite recording of West Side Story! I am just lamenting over the fact that her voice cracked in such a prestigious performance. As a fellow performer, I can relate.
