Unarmed doesn't make them peaceful or harmless. An unarmed mob can still kill - rocks, clubs, kicks and punches can do the job. Point is, if you are part of a mob, you are not innocent. A mob has no conscience, no one controlling it. It can kill. The civilians may have a reason to be upset or angry with the police/government - I worked with a Syian for 3 years and he was very paranoid and afraid of his government I am just arguing that a mob anywhere should not be called "unarmed civilians".

Looks like the "civilians" were not shopping or just out for a walk in the park. Looks like they "civilians" were chasing the police or whoever was shooting back at them. Why? - To shake hands with them, invite them for a cup of tea? Sorry, but the real civilians were in doors keeping their families safe. I am all against police brutality and innocents being killed. But mobs are not civilians. Mobs are not innocents. They are out to kill. They are fighters. So much less sympathy for them.

Reza Shah forced women to NOT wear chador and now Islamic regime is forcing them TO wear it. In both cases society was unhappy. Reza Pahlavi almost let people to choose but we still had problems. After all this I conclude out society is not balanced. Iran's problem is not the regime. We need to think and develop ourselves before trying to have freedom.
