Either the band is low in volume or Trey needs to put it down. I love this band but it seems to me that trey is always playing awkwardly with Oysterhead. In shadow of man its like he forgot how to play it .

not enough people were honest enough to admit to themselves that this collaboration just didnt have the right vibe - the times I saw oysterhead, after the show imagine many people trying to convince themselves that it was good. Im coming from the Primus side of all this; frankly, I thought Les's decision to go hippy was a strange move, especially since Primus is somewhat repetitive and jam bands require the fluid he at times lacks

Trey is loud and his tone is flat but his playing is great ! the oysterhead album is great ! Its different with all of them together they make music with almost a hypnotic effect with all the layers they have in thier songs and the lyrics provide characters with much imagery and elements of insanity.

This is why superbands can't work. You have 3 insanely talented musicians coming together and the music is so eclectic and so complex that it just doesn't translate into palatable music for the majority of music fans that don't look as deep into the creation of the art. I'm not saying it's right, just making an observation.
