@myxie1 What happened to Jimmy? I didn't know he died. I lost contact with the people on MogMog 2 years ago when I lost their address. I miss him and the people very much. I have some video footage of him I can post if you want.. its quite funny
@xanh01 umm.. there is no hotel right now, but you can live with a family... dont worry everybody is nice there.. just bring some betelnut and they will by happy ... come visit my island too... named federai..
@D4KINE808 Of course I have no problem living with the locals. It will be a great learning cultural experience but how do I know which family is willing to let me stay with their family ? What language do they speak including your island Federal ? Wow, I did not know they liked betelnuts. Thanks my friend.
@xanh01 we speak a language called ulithian.. only spoken in the ulithi atoll.. all the other islands have their own language and dialect.... To be honest i dont know which family would allow you to stay with them but they can figure something out down their probably.. yeah betelnut was not a big deal back in the day's in like 1940's and stuff but we got influenced by Yap when there was a cargo ship... now everybody in the atoll chew betelnuts... everybody down there r related to eachother..
@xanh01 There are no hotels and probably never will be on MogMog. I stayed with the doctors family, there is only one so you will be able to locate him by asking around. But to get there you should get a special permit first, from Yap, from their 'embassy'. And you should also take something to offer the village chief whom you must meet as soon as u arrive on MogMog. He will assign you with a family.
@xanh01 I bought 2 bags of bettlenut from Yap (they like these types of nut from yap) and a carton of 200 cigarettes. that was fine for the chief! the chief, if he is still alive, is a big smoker!!!! hey watch my latest video from Mog Mog, i just uploaded last night. Hope u enjoy!
@xanh01 Its expensive to get to, and you need to have a lot of time. I had almost a month in micronesia, but only 5 days on MogMog. I had to wait 3 weeks for a flight to the nearest atoll! No hotel, have to live with locals!
