  • who went to rain here???

  • is hard though because i am a righty trying to play left handed as well and I'm not that good at it yet but I will practice everyday until I become better and even then i will practice because I always want to improove myself in what ever i choose to do. And plus, I want my sound for my songs to sound unique as well. :)

  • thank you for posting this ! this took me forever to find ! i just saw this show on broadway on saturday and I have to say that it was AMAZING ! I was a big beatles fan to begin with and when I walked out of there, I was an even bigger Beatles fan ! I play botht he acoustic and electric guitars right handed and since seeing this, I decided to teach myself left handed as well because Paul took a right handed guitar and played it left handed and I have been practing ever since. I know that it

  • Lol I went to that show. It was Awesome! But you weren't aloud to record it >_>.

  • @Ifradkin Ifradkin well EXCUSE me I think @mrstheresa12303 was speaking in general. As in Rain started out as a tribute band with members from Beatlemania. Not the guys currently performing. Stop overreacting and think it through before you write something please.

  • Ifradkin well EXCUSE me I think @mrstheresa12303 was speaking in general as in RAIN started out as a tribute band with members from Beatlemania.

  • "These guys were in Beatlemania at the Winter Garden Theater on Broadway (NYC) in the 1970's." Excuse me, last I remember, myself (les Fradkin), Mitch Weissman, Joe Pecorino and Justin McNeill were originals on Broadway in the 19070's. NONE of these gentlemen were on Broadway. Steve Landes was hired by me in 1982. Joey Curatolo did bus & truck. Ralph Castelli was an understudy in LA in 1978.

Nice try guys trying to "rewrite" history.

  • I had a chance to see Rain in Amarillo, TX and didn't go. I REALLY regret it now!!!

  • Those aren't the Beatles, no one is cheering, duh!

  • Saw Rain twice in the 80's. Amazing.

  • They are the best cover band I've ever heard! THEY SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME!!! :D

  • Only complaint is righty paul

  • Impressive...

But still NOT the Beatles. ;]

  • Are those the backbeats i saw them live at the westbloomfield public library in michigan

  • ya the mid to later 70's. After Beatlemania did well, they were sued by the Real Beatles. In the earlt '80 They made it into a movie, but no one talks about that!

  • I saw this show and it was like seeing a God that never existed...

  • ur not retarde i thought the same thing

  • sounds almost just like them though.

  • there is nothing to respect about an impersonator.

If you enjoy seeing this , then I hope it makes you feel good.

  • How could they possibly be the Beatles with a right handed Paul ?? At the very least Paul shoud be left handed..Over rated..1964 is better.

  • not the beatles they disapoint me

  • Since it's not the real Beatles and not the real Ed Sullivan, it would be nice if there were truth in the video label. Rain played at my high school over 30 years ago, and seeing them that once was more than enough.

  • this is the best fake i have ever seen, the band is exceptional...and for a few seconds, i was sucked in. the thing is, the sound, is exact. kudos to the musicians.

  • Well, they could have at e

  • omg i had never heard of these guys

    i want to meet em

and @mrstheresa12303 u are so lucky i never been to a concert before but i would to have these guys be my first

  • Paul was a left-handed guitarist, not right-handed like the guy impersonating him in this video.

  • they sound just like them. best inpersonaters ive seen

  • i saw RAIN in March, it was one of the best nights EVER!

  • really good cover band!

  • Yeah, I hate to tell ya, but Ed Sullivan was long dead and buried by the time this performance occurred.

  • I went to see them. They were amazing! The only problem is the guy playing Paul couldn't sing high :(

  • OMG i just realised that they weren't actually the beatles! i was like were hand held colour video cameras made in them days? then i say that the person playing paul, had a right handed guitar, and that was when i realised they were a cover band. i know, i'm retarded xD

  • No, you're not retarded! It's just that RAIN is so good at re-creating/impersonating the original Beatles that it's difficult to tell them apart. I can't wait til we meet them this summer, I'll have a pic taken with "Paul" and try to pass him off as the real one, see how many people know

  • @mrstheresa12303 Well, since McCartey is pushing 70, that was doubt impossible.

  • @mrstheresa12303 Well, since McCartney is pushing 70, that was no doubt impossible.

  • @TheJAD12

And me I thought it was the whole 'camera phones weren't around in 1964' concept. haha

  • benibeatles stink by the way

  • Rain doesnt use wigs either and they are AMAZING at times i forgot they werent the beatles and they were the first beatles cove band EVER!

  • i saw that but somewhere else with RAIN they were amazing!

  • bah

  • This an exactly copy of the BENIBEATLES SHOW IN BENIDORM SPAIN(that begins with Mr.Ed Sullivan.. THE REAL BEST BAND DOING BEATLES IN THE WORLD Are the Benibeatles because they dont need any wigs or original stuff they jus are the new Beatles.. its awesome

  • This is the exact same opening for the show I saw last night in Detroit. It was "RAIN". Absolutely mind-blowing. These guys are 99.9% right on. Go see them if you ever get the chance. You won't regret it.

  • omg me and my dad got very front row seats for rain via my moms friend from work. IT was SO great!!! want to see um again!

  • We have tickets to see them again. The show was supposed to be this past Thursday, but due to bad weather it was postponed, which is understandable, but now we have to wait four months! We have 3rd row seats and we have special benefit (from donation to PBS) to meet them too before the show. I just want to ask them if they are the same guys that performed at the Winter Garden Theater on Broadway in NYC back around 1977 or 78

  • THEY'RE FAKES!!!!!!!!!!

  • I never said these are the real Beatles. Read the information about this video

  • These guys are called Beatlemania, they're incredible.

  • Actually it's "Beatlemania NOW!"

  • @Novelboy2112 Actually they are called "RAIN"

  • @beatles6120 Are memories FAKES? Well, not if I can help it.

  • wow....just wow this is.....real! y'know this is how they were! not a bunch of television cameras this is how people SAW them! I just find that SOOOOOO amazing!

  • Awesome Beatles :D

  • "Rain" is coming to our area again. I bought my son tickets for Christmas, via a donation to local public broadcasting. We get to meet the characters too! Get autgraphs, have our pics taken with them. yippee

  • @mrstheresa12303 LUCKY! Me and my dad are going to see them front row, seats 1 and 2, I was the first guy who bought the tickets :), maybe I can get them to talk to me!

  • Thanks again Ed Sullivan !!!

  • To pinatafication....your comment about "he said" and the popularity in the 70's, was that directed to me? Re my notes about this group in the 1970's?

If so, I will clarify that there was a Broadway show in NYC, at the Winter Garden Theater called Beatlemania back in the 70's, I got my husband tickets for it for his birthday one year. The guys that do Rain are the same guys that did Beatlemania. So I guess it can be said "Beatlemania" (the show, records) were popular in the 70's.

  • wtf? he said they were popular in the 70s, this guy knows nothing

  • This is pure phony garbage, you jackass.

  • oh i saw this. it was spectaculaR!

  • they rocckkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When did you video tape this?

  • Paul is both handed he prefers the left thougth i think

  • @LordObsidian99 nope. hes a lefty

  • Sorry yeah thats what i meant to say paul is a lefty not righty no one knows how he does on right?

  • This isnt the ed sullivian show this is someother band with a cool impression of the beatles this aint black and white?

  • these guys are really good.... orrrrr... lip syc id good to lol

  • These guys are really good, they dont lip sync or any thing, ive seen the show over 10 times cus my cuzin is the guy who plays Ringo Star, Ralph Castelli

  • was that RAIN a tribute band to the beatles??? And if it was or wasn't where was that?

  • ya, there a tribute that tours

  • where was this

  • These guys are good but check out The Fab Four from Southern CA. The "Paul" is amazing.....and left handed.

  • @ stigmajosh: WTF are you saying? =D

    This "Paul" is clearly right-handed!

  • Please read things before you decide they make no sense.

  • You are looking at the Paul from the Fab Four band in England. There is a much better Fab Four cover band in Southern California....and their "Paul" is amazing....and LEFT handed. Keep looking and then get back to me.

  • no hes actually left handed

  • i saw these guys in the 70s at the wintegarden they were an excellent tribute band and their show, Beatlemania worked for its time

  • It all seems like yesterday when the Beatles came to America.

  • if you see the front row and the guy in the white shirt i was next to tht guy tht show was awesome

  • Saw them on PBS. Soooooo many commercials... :P Nice tribute.

  • Oh my gosh, when were they on?????

  • Hmm........ December? It was quite a while ago, winter sometime. It was a two hour fund raising thing that PBS does from time to time, but it was a good show, i put up with the commercials to see them. They did a lot of Sgt Pepper stuff as i recall...

  • you couldn't have stupid they broke up and john and george are dead

  • I was talking about Rain

  • I saw them in Feburary,they ROCK!

  • you couldn't have stupid they broke up and john and george are dead

  • but he could've seen RAIN, which is who the band in the video is...

  • i love ringos drumming

  • just re-read the description....

    Amazing these guys are Good!

  • excuse me for saying this, but they had color camcorders back then?

  • It's Rain, a tribute band.

  • My best friend took me to see these guys for my birthday this year. They were so fantastic! I didn't want it to end!

  • awesome thanks!

  • saw them in NJ @ the NJPAC Friday June 12th 2009 ! very nice!!!

  • I loved The rain tribute

  • I've been searhing for that but I can't find it :( do you know where I could?

  • Rain is amazing!

  • i saw their show last night and when that curtain lifted up i was astounded at how good they were. i'm definitely going to see them again.

  • omg i just went to see that show in hollywood!

    it was amazing!

  • I know its crazy how good they are!!!

  • i was there!

  • i went and seen the rain tribute last night at the centre in evansville indiana....it was awesome..

  • i really thought this was a great tribute. sounds a little different from when i saw them though. still i really enjoyed it. i mean they sounded a lot like them. and besides, paul's vocals were more prominent on sullivan than on the recording.

  • Absolutely correct about the vocals. Lennons microphone was dead & what we heard was his voice bleeding into Pauls mike. That's pure professionalism & power !

  • I've seen Rain, they are incredible!

  • Damn these guys are awesome. Nothing compares to the original, but these guys really are great.

  • Not Ed Sullivan. Not the Beatles. Pretty good rip off though!

  • mrstheresa12303, 53 yo, change the title of that video please.

i thought only teenagers did that to get attention :)

  • i saw these guys last night. AMAZING!! paul was my faorite!

  • Right handed Paul What a Joke

  • I saw these guys in Iowa.there were GREAT!!

Now, this video isn't the best one ever shot but just listen to them. They play and sing live. No recordings of any kind..

  • is this Merle Haggard?

  • this is a complete rip off! i didnt look this up to see a bunch of posers!

  • Nice tribute BUT you label it "The Beatles on Ed Sullivan" which it is certainly not.

And I didn't need an arrow for that.

  • I thought it was supposed to capture the 'spirit' of the Beatles.

    You expect too much.

    This is a nice tribute.

  • I wanted the real Beatles, not some money hungry imitators.

  • Oh shove it! Everyone always puts down on Ringo! Ringo is a member of the beatles to and deserves just as much respect as John, Paul and Harrison. They are all part of a band that changed music and made it what it is today! everyone stop putting down on ringo, damnit!

  • Did you hear Ringo recently telling everyone that he will throw away all fan mail? He is the luckiest guy ever: minimal talent and homely; yet was able to ride the coat tails of one of the biggest music phenomena ever.

  • Anyone who says Ringo has"Minimal talent" knows NOTHING about drumming or drummers. He is a VERY talented drummer and the group would have sounded totally different with anyone else. He was a very essential part of their success.

  • Harrison was once asked about Ringos talent level on drums. His reply- - "the best backbeat in the business".-- enuf said.

  • Ringo used to sit in for Pete Best when the group was playing the toilets in Hamburg. So the Beatles knew how good he was when they fired Best and hired him.

  • @jdrum60 i totally agree with you...especially his delayed back beat. Most drummers don't even get it. Listen to it in penny lane as a blatent example...he plays it to the hilt. Strong delay. Makes the music very bouncy!! It's not how hard he's hitting...it's his delay...just behind the beat. Or should I say the music is out in front of the beat.

  • You should re-label this for what it is ... I wouldn't have wasted my time.

  • pauls a lefty!

  • "Beatles on Ed Sullivan"

You should be ashamed of yourself for titling the video this way.

  • This isn't The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. (boo hiss)

  • i hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice tribute!!

  • i like how all of the negative comments got thumbs up and your nice one got one down

  • Wait? A right handed Paul and a left handed George? Sorry...it doesn't work.

  • this isn't the beatles

  • True, it isn't the Beatles. If you read the description on the right, you would read that this group is "Rain" performing as the Beatles, and this scene, the opening of the show is the Beatles as they were on Ed Sullivan

  • That's the same Ed Sullivan impersonator The Fab Four use, haha.

  • The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, fearless, alive and electrifying... these guys, not so much...

  • i hate this

  • i hate them too. stupid fakers!

  • OMG i love rain!! i saw them in Milwaukee!!

  • Is that in Dallas? If so I was there lol.

  • The BEATLES were SO GREAT.....(You even love the FAKE ones..LOL)

  • I LOVE BETLES!

  • hey they sound just like them lol

  • aw i saw rain. their good

  • Liverpool Legends are pretty good,

as tho none are as good as the original,

LL are so good that Louise supports them.

They had a fun concert :P

  • Hey! What a stage!!! Is it a famous tribute band?

  • Tribute bands. Ugh.

  • those aren't the ebatles... but close enough!

    LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!!

  • ew I hate Beatles Covers :vomit:

  • lol i agree

  • I think these are "The Living Legends" from Branson, Missouri Right? They are not my favorite Beatle Impersonators. I do love The Fab Four and RAIN.

  • This group was RAIN.

  • There is the Liverpool Legends, from Branson, MO, not "The Living Legends"... also, the Liverpool Legends has a left handed Paul, their stage is set up slightly different, and Liverpool Legends are endorsed and managed by Louise Harrison, (George's Sister!)...

  • man, these guys are awesome, I saw them twice, and I still want to go to more concerts

  • They are good, I didn't realize that I failed, in the description, to write that this is from the historic Proctor's Theater in Schenectady. People can no longer take pics in the theater, sad, because they don't have videos of them either. Many things if I see on you tube, or what, I would probably go to concerts and shows I otherwise would not go to, ya know. And I could sit and watch them every week almost, pop a DVD in. It's not like their losing money

  • yo the beatles are da bomb man the best band ever!

  • 3rd row baby!!
