You're right, but I think the fact that only three or four sentences in the whole programme are spoken like this makes it silly... they could have done much more in 10 minutes without wasting time repeating those sentences.
It's like driving at 90mph for 9 minutes, then 5mph for 1 minute - silly. Why not just go at a medium speed the whole time? Then everybody wins.
But Look at the good side its very rare idioms & Lessons, You wont chatch these in any beginer cd's also you learn about Chinese culture alot, I have learned alot, & hanjia is really Cute.
I like this, although I wish the male presenter wouldn't slowly enunciate each word in English (twice...) - there's no reason for it.

Indeed, good points. I just wish they would add subtitles for the whole thing maybe, so both learners of English and Chinese would benefit more.
And it would be nice if the guy's American accent wasn't so strong when he repeats the phrases!
And yes, Hanjia is cute. :)

我的一位在法国教中文的朋友告诉我，我的孙子（我现在20多岁），重孙子也看不到中文通行世界的那一天，法国8300万人口，学中文的人才两万，无论学英文，德文，西班牙文的都是百万千万。从法国说到世界，全球认真学汉语的，除华人外，不过十来万，想想世界六十多亿人口呢。汉语不是大有前途，而是根本不可能成为世界主导语言。
