I've been using some Auto Air colors and I'm thinking of switching to HOK. I noticed you're using Wicked Colors sometimes. Do they compare to the regualar AA? Also, I see sometimes you use a gravity feed airbrush, and other times a bottle. Is the gravity feed airbrush (like a Iwata CS) better for doing detail work, and then a bottle feed for doing wider stuff?
i would like to know what kind of paint do u use. i just started watching ur videos i love them ..getting my airbrush soon..and thanks for the video they r a big help.
as you were painting it i thought you were making the candy too dark, but i shouldent have doubted the master because after you put the clear on it just pop'd
@edhubbs was just messin with you man. and lettin you know i got eyes like a hawk (O_o) LOL but thats definitely a badass stylization on that stencil man. I hope i can get some nice straight lines out of my airbrush soon so i can start doing more detailed work like that. as of right now, im playing it pretty far away from the panel. lots of undefined shadowing lol need to learn to draw with it now.
Ed i have that same stencil and im pretty much a noob, the technique you showed with the stencil and adding detail was just the information i needed! my only question is i use an iwata hp-c plus and kustom paints , when i for in with the white and go in to put some highights my whotes are too heavy, shoud i try reducing the white some more and lower my pressure down i was at around 40 psi?????
@edhubbs man i am having some problems with tip drying i mainly seems to happen with my opaque colors am i not reducing them enuff cause my semi opaque and transparent colors i really havent had a problem with
@colbystaats Shit man I ask questions every day. I just asked Dru Blair a question the other day and am going to credit him in my next video for his answer.I wasn't for sure about the procedure on some thing that I was getting ready to do in a video and I know that Dru would have the answer so I asked him on facebook and replied the very next day. It confirmed what I thought, but it was nice to hear it from a top notch air brush artist like Dru.
@edhubbs Lol. I commented before I heard you say to wear a respirator. I only had a minute to watch before leaving for work. Got to watch the whole thing now. Definitely looking forward to part 3.
wow nice work please visit mine too! thanks.
