  • this was off a video called soccer 85 ha,i had it as my 1st video,it was after the cameras had been allowed back into football matches after a dispute

  • before mid 90's..even a player in offside position without touching or interrupting play is considered offside...

  • wtf was gray's disallowed for?

  • Offside.

  • Rhetorical question pal

  • And it was a rhetorical answer ;-)

  • very good

  • I think your right. It does look like Hodge touched it but it's off the post.

Great video Stevo. Footage of Villa games from 85/86 are about as rare as Birmingham staying in the Premier League for more than one season !

  • I feel cheated !

The two "offsides" are possibly the worst decisions I have ever seen !

Watford 1 Villa 3 - Get the official records changed !

  • With you on the first one. The only thing i can think of is that the lino thought that Steve Hodge had got the final touch..in which case the referee should have overuled him, as he should have had a pretty clear view of it.

For the other one, Walters does appear to have strayed into an offside position.

  • Ha Ha Ha! Andy Gray's face after the chip is disallowed is an absolute picture.
