  • Hey my dad gave a 1994 325I I'm just wondering that what can I do to make it go faster first first bought about 17 years ago it came with I think 175hp 17 years later I went down to 148hp so I just need some advise on this thx a lot man

    My plan is to swap a M50B28 in a E30, block and head should keep stock but ofcourse other injectors ecu, the regular turbo stuff. the aim is around 550 hp, maybe a bit more.

    what do you think about that?

    Well sounds good, but i dont know if a stock M50B28 can hold together for that kind of power? I have heard about 400hp working great, but 550hp i dont know. But if you have a good ECU which has been mapped really good, maybe it works just fine. If there is no enginecontroll, even a low boost can breake the engine.

    I think i will accually change to a newer ecu myself :) Feels safer with better controll.

    Well, i do not know what to answer on that question. But if you want max HP, of course you have to rebuilt the engine to fully forged, and turbocharge and other ECU. But i guess thats not the answer you where looking for.

    A guy that is on the same forum as me got 500rwhp out of a stock 330i E46 with SC6262 turbo and Atom G4 ECU and E85. Of course he have bigger injectors and stuff to. But the engine was stock otherwise.

    The engingestuff begins at page 30 or something. I did first go for supercharging with a Vortech G5, but did later change do turbocharging, which was a better choice!

    Neither have i. So i was thinking of doing such a comparison already in 2006 when i did the old NA engine run. Then in 2009 i did the same test with the turboengine :)

    Det är helt ofattbart vad mycket nm du får ur den nu när jag tittat på fler filmer! sitter själv och funderar på om jag ska använda mig av ett 82 eller 62-avgashus till en 6262 på min 2.6l Nissan. Lite rädd för mottryck med 63:an, men jag skulle vara oerhört nöjd med liknande siffror som dina.

  • @SupraTompan Ja det blev bra med 62mm avgashus och AR .63. Vill själv ha en SC6262 istället, med samma avgashus, skulle vara intressant att se vad man får då, eller om man får samma effekt med lägre laddtryck helt enkelt. Köpte minsta 62mm avgashuset för att få så bra respons som möjligt, och det blev bra :D

    Är mycket nöjd med vridmomentet på ca 800Nm+ i motorn. Det är väl bara effekten som kunde få fortsatt uppåt efter ca 5800rpm där den börjar dala i nuläget.

  • @Nisse977 Ok, tror nog jag kör på .82 avgashus istället, varvar upp till 9200rpm nu så jag vill inte ha dalande effekt tidigt pga. mottryck :).

    Well its 205/50-R16 Trackracingtyres. Off course there can be done alot of improvements, start on 2nd gear and so on, but its no dragracing car, so its ok like this. Maybe i do a new video in summer when i have the 2,65 gearing bolted on (3,25 gearing today) :)

    It gives me bunches of sensations!!! Last time i drove it, i just screamed out -This car is craaaaaaaaaazy hahahaha! and so on :)

  • What is the tyre used ? perhaps just increase his width, will coul help you.

    This car is hard to drive, but must give to you so much sensations !!! continue with it. E30 Rocks !!

  • Like it says in my info ;) its an Precision SC6162 with the smallest exausthousing T3 A/R 0,63. And i run with E85 instead of gasoline.

  • It is not built for dragrace, it is built for trackracing ;) I am satisfied with just trying times on the road if i feel like it.

    Now im just waiting for summer and the racetrack. Hope to get som lower laptimes with my new 300%+ stronger engine and harder adjustable anti-rollbars.

  • It feels just nice to use the "original" engine, and not change for another. The sound of a 2 valve M20 is verty nice!! :)

  • Yes it IS a big difference :)

    But the sad thing is that no youtube video can show the real feel of the tuned cars around our world. It almost always look like you only have 50-100hp in your car, not the claimed 200, 300 or 400hp hahaha!

    Maybe if we can put a cam down in the front lip we can get some feeling about the actual speed :)

    I hope to do some 300km/h video 2010 after mounted my 2,65:1 rear diff. Now i have 3,25:1

  • No it is built for trackracing.

    In the info to the right you see it is a 3,25:1 lsd finaldrive ;)

  • wow amazing car, I like the steering wheel, do you practice drift and what final drive do you have?

  • Yes, but despite this acc-test, it is a trackcar, not a dragcar, so i do not want to extra weight of 4WD, and i do not think the 325iX 4WD would take 800Nm of torque :)

    If i want to make better dragtimes, i can change to MT-tyres and start on 2nd gear :)
