have to agree, with top comments_this Australian singer is best vocalist, rock singer above all;- with Mr. Blackmore, this band was for me at its very best! -thank you for sharing this cover!
RONNIE JAMES DIO sang this with Ronnie Dio and the Prophets in the early sixties. RONNIE JAMES DIO has the right tone for anything. He had the most pure and powerful voice. Bonnett is pretty pitchey live.
Have wondered why Ritchie wanted to play this - not an obvious choice for a rocker...
Perhaps because Mike Berry (once the singer of The Outlaws - a band which Ritchie was once a member of ) released a version of this back in the early '60s.

@beroth77 Dio would not be able to hit the high notes Bonnet hits in his version.

What makes Graham Bonnet as a great singer is not simply his great voice with high strong tone and deep strong voice.
It is his borderless musical talent to sing!
Yes, Graham is Great Rock Singer.
But he can be called as "Great Singer of the Decades"!
Long LIve Graham Bonnet!

@Stratonini He sang it and I like a lot his version but it's in a really lower pitch than the Bonnet version! Bonnet had a bigger range for sure

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Graham Bonnett is not a singer, he's a screamer. More in the vein of Brian Johnson from AC/DC.

what a powerfull with sensitive vocal.
he absolutely must valued as dio. but
i think sadly graham bonnet is undervalued to another people.

@chopsueykkk1234 Yeah but hes a very intelligent artist to prioritize his family in front of work. I think that's the difference here.

Graham Sang this too before Rainbow in the early 70's.

Graham released a self titled solo album in 1977 . This was one of the songs on the album.

You're probably right.I just liked Dio's vocals with early Rainbow and Sabbath.

I concur. Sabbath MkII was my favorite lineup ;-)

I was there man , great song. Rainbow were the best. Just wish it was Dio singing

Dio doesn't have the right tone for this song. I doubt he has the proper range as well.
