The player had 1.8m in chips and a pot off 305K when it was Tran's turn to act. Even though position is good the chips in the pot amount to 20% of the stack and based on my rule that when the pot size is 15% or greater of my stack and I have the hands and/or bluffing spot to make the all-in then I go all in. That was a no brainer all-in preflop and if you play it fancy like this, then you can't fold.
If he felt he had AK preflop then it was a no-brainer push.
Aces played poorly. Bluffer representing nothing, he would never check-call twice with an AK that's not AsKs. About the only hand he can represent is 8s9s imo
To me, his allin move is a pure bluff attempt. He checked the flop, I think he wouldn't check the flop with his Ak, he would make a c bet. He also wouldn't have checked the flop with QQ or JJ. But still I give him credit for a ballsy move.. Would he slowplay a set on that board..I don't think so.
Wasnt really anything Aces could beat on that board except for a missed flush draw bluff or just a complete bluff. Pocket 4s guy was a bit of an idiot but hey thats poker
NGO is an idiot with bad eqiotte that got hit in the face with the deck to make this final table. he wasn't bluffing he probably thought he had the best hand with 44 lmao im glad he busted and didnt win...even tho the winner was a crazy player as well. tran/akenhead/ferguson shouldve won
tran is very outspoken at this final table, even tho i agree with pretty much everything he says, i wouldn't say it outloud on camera. comes off bad plus i thought we weren't supposed to scare off the fish lol

Tran should have re-raised it preflop, i don't think that Ngo would have called, unless he had plans to bluff Tran even before the flop. Pretty wild play by Ngo, in that spot Tran could also have had something like AK, which on that board is the nuts. However you can't fault Tran for not calling, because the way Ngo played the hand makes it very propable, that he has the nuts.
The whole point of calling pre flop was to slow play the aces.
I probably would have bet a WHOLE LOT MORE on the turn since its a very drawy hand with the two spades, two clubs and possible straight draw. I would eliminate 10J right away - very doubtful.
If he still called and the Q came up it would put me in a better position since he wouldn't have called THAT much I bet with only a gutshot AK.
I guess all this is easy to see in retrospect, but tough when you are in the hotseat.
@gabiotta i dont think it's that poor, because the other person who lays the hand down saying "you don't know how lucky you are blah blah" is indirectly implying that the person who go all in is incapable of bluffing, etc, in other words not that skilled in poker to make such a move, that's indirectly insulting him as a poker player.
That's why the joy of proving people's wrong about their perception. Maybe that's a little negative etiquette but not that poor, just saying lol
It was a great play by Ngo to call on the turn with the intention of bluffing the river. He knew there were a lot of good scarecards available, that with 1 mill left he could put a lot of pressure on Tran, and that Tran himself was probably medium strength on something like a pair and not something like a high spade draw. If Tran had bet more on the turn it would have made the play a lot more difficult.
Very brave to go all in on a bluff like that. If I'd been Tran, I'd have expected AK too, or possibly QQ. All the checking by Ngo would have made it pretty hard to guess.
I'm about to tell my mom, dad, sister, grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles about the Referral Code: FTUS600 at full tilt poker to get then their 600 dollar sign up bonus
He did play 75 hands of uncapped $200/$400 PLO, but after losing $100K in rapid fashion, he gave up on that project. Is it true that all pros started with free 50 $ deposit from PokerFrik site?
Actually, when you look at the graph you can see that it was the second half of the match that was one sided. Anyway people i have just got free 50 $ start capital from PokerFrik website, great stuff to begin!
Rofl you call this BLUFF?! I had 2-7 last night, playing $500/$1000NL with Johnny Chan, Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and Patrick Antonius. Johnny raises to 3k, Negreanu re raises to $10k. I pause for a second and say in a cool calm voice 'I raise to $35k.' Johnny folds and Negreanu calls. Flop AK3. Daniel bets $52k. I pushed for $258k total. Negreanu thinks about it and folds. He shows Pocket Kings and says 'I guess you had the trip aces'.
Quite an interesting move by Phil Galfond on this hand, but when he saw Cole South’s hand probably regretting his creativeness. Lol i maybe become ritch like him, i just got free 50 $ from PokerFrik site :)
He did play 75 hands of uncapped $200/$400 PLO, but after losing $100K in rapid fashion, he gave up on that project. Is it true that all pros started with free 50 $ deposit from PokerFrik site?
The $500/$1000 PLO Cap are going strong, and yesterday durrrr beat Hansen and Nekotyan out of a quarter million dollars each. It's not hard to succeed in poker when there are sites like PokerFrik who offers free deposits.
Now when few months have passed, Antonius has won all of his money back and more. To get a no risk start with poker you can use free 50$ from Pokerfrik website, i use it myself!

Instead, durrrr chose to wait to see what came off on the turn, and when the spade came off he decided to try to represent a flush. Durrrr is bluffing a lot because he built his money out of free 50 $ he got from Pokerfrik website so he doesn't reall care.
It those situation is either a total BS or a Monster. It's hard to call in a important tourney like this with just a pair. The only tell I could think of for the bluff is when he raised all-in when first to act at river. If he did has a monster, usually people would value bet or check to re-raise for the other guy to call a value bet or raise. If you push so like this, most of the time they would fold, then you get no money for your monster. That's my take.
Good riverplay by both. Risky all-in, but he's in position and might've had a read. Not too many pros would call that either in a tourney. He can't beat any decent hands with just the aces.
Lmao... can we play next week my full tilt username is fuddran5624 =)

Full Tilt Poker today announced on their FB fanpage that a new player could head on over to Full Tilts web site, then create a account with the bonus code AMERICAS.
It really is a amazing bonus offer. Your first deposit get DOUBLED plus a few other beneficial perks...
He flopped the nuts , but was overtaken by Esvedra’s straight on the turn and Ingenious89’s flush on the river. hehehe i really got those 50 $ from Pokerfrik website, thnx to them :)))
Nice.. lets play next week my FTP username = warbitsu2989 =D
And its official
Full Tilt recently revealed to their facebook fans that new players should head on over to FTPs webpage, then create a account with the promo code SPECIALS.
Its a great bonus special offer. They will double your 1st deposit also a few other sexy perks. It is limited to the first 3500 players that create an account using it
thats right man 95%of people are scaarreeeddd moeny and will fold there , especially in the wsop , bigger tourneys the more tension people have and the more scared they ae with there chips trust me
Possibly he was hoping for a chance to take the pot away on the river if he didn’t hit his hand. This is why i have started with free 50 $ i got from PokerFrik so i don't care if i lose :D
He staked Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi also in the Main Event (this is however just speculation). If anyone is looking for a free 50 $ starting capital, check Pokerfrik it worked well for me :)
@smack9923 Good thing your opinion is that of an anonymous youtube user who has probably never gotten very far in any major tourney. I hope all the pros read your comment so they can know true poker wisdom!
So this time, the bluff didn’t work out, but durrrr can still profit from his play. Well he started his carrier with free 50 bucks he got from Pokerfrik website so he really is a top notch.
My guess is that Ziigmund would still get the last of his chips in, and that Antonius would have had to fold even if he was getting 6-1 on a call. For those who are looking to start poker, get your free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website!
All in all it was a terrible week for Dwan - he ended up dropping over $1,5M at the tables. Folks who are looking to start poker carier shuold check out PokerFrik site and get free 50 $ starting capital!
And if the start of the match is any indication, the players have decided to actually reach 50 000 hands in the not too distant future. For those who are looking to start poker check out PokerFrik for a initial 50 $ free deposit!
Ziigmund’s aggressive game is well known, but on this hand it definitely worked against him. BTwn. is it possible that PokerFrik really gives away free 50 $ startin capital?
Close to the halfway point, the players were more or less even, but from then on durrrr got the upper hand. Anyway for those who are new in the poker world, you should start with free 50 $ starting capital you can get from PokerFrik website!
@version191 lol can you imagine being such an idiot with no life that you search all over youtube for videos that you dont like, waste your time to prove to yourself you dont like watching it, and then take the time to comment on it. wow, you are honestly wasting your life to the fullest kid....
Guys. He didn't limp aces he flat called. If he had reraised there are very few hands that would call him. Depending on the player you could flat call and try to trap or reraise if you have an agressive image. He simply bet way to weak, and was just begging for a dangerous card to come. It's his own fault tbh.. He should have atleast made some kind of decent bet on the flop and turn. And then folding when a dangerous card comes is pretty bad imo. When there are so many scare cards.
Do you know what is calling station?Paired with pocket 4...called till the end...lol?Then he bluffed you at the river? What's going on?Common' you shouldn't slow play with pocket aces.
Smooth-calling Aces and then bet so little like they were the nuts is just asking for trouble. I mean how do you put your opponent on AK there? Wouldn't AK try to get a little value on the river then go All-In?
If I was Ngo, I would show only the red 4 and muck the other card ;P
tran should've bet more on turn. it would be much harder for ngo to call without at least a decent draw or decent made hand. plus, by betting small, he is asking for ngo to bluff him
It is a bluff. A bluff doesn't have mean that you have nothing! A bluff is when you trick your opponent into thinking that you have a better hand than he does. A bluff doesn't even have to work, in order to be call a bluff. That's why people can "call" your bluff.
tran was being too weary of his aces being cracked happens all the time with players sometimes you just have to focus and evaluate plays and situation
i love how everyone that comments on these poker videos talks like theyve all played in WSOP, give your egos a rest and just enjoy the videos, if ur name's daniel negraneau or phil ivey, im sorry.
the rest of you chumps should just die, u have the intellect of a toothpick.
why he putted him on AK i mean calling until the river with to overs and no straight draw cant be he was on AK and if he was in AK we now that AK is about 9% against aces so he is 91% bluffing there bad read i think... i would put him on a flush draw.
I don't know how he thought ngo had ace king, well, he played it like ace king, but if he did have ace king would he go all in with a straight? Not really because you want to get the most chips as possible without having 'em fold with the nuts
ASS have to eat and CAMPIM, STUPID FOLD

For those who are looking to start poker, get your free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website!

beautiful river move... but i think he should let the bluff tilt tran... not the trashy talkdown after the hand >.>

KeefeBrand 1 year ago
Close to the halfway point, the players were more or less even, but from then on durrrr got the upper hand. Anyway for those who are new in the poker world, you should start with free 50 $ starting capital you can get from PokerFrik website!

When there are so many scare cards.
hahaownedlolz 1 year ago
@onlypedro you're not supposed to it, its just the standard way to go, he should flat call sometimes pre flop to mix up his game
heek07 1 year ago
Why would he show his cards at the end? That's stupid. I thought poker players knew not to do that.

If I was Ngo, I would show only the red 4 and muck the other card ;P
lookaguru 1 year ago
rofl i find it hilarious when Tran said he had aces and Ngo has to think about it and then says you had the best hand then lol

tran should've bet more on turn. it would be much harder for ngo to call without at least a decent draw or decent made hand. plus, by betting small, he is asking for ngo to bluff him

It is a bluff. A bluff doesn't have mean that you have nothing! A bluff is when you trick your opponent into thinking that you have a better hand than he does. A bluff doesn't even have to work, in order to be call a bluff. That's why people can "call" your bluff.

I would of called that straight away. No questions asked. If a 10, or a J came up on the river, maybe another story? But me, call.
eagle3y3z 2 years ago
why he putted him on AK i mean calling until the river with to overs and no straight draw cant be he was on AK and if he was in AK we now that AK is about 9% against aces so he is 91% bluffing there bad read i think... i would put him on a flush draw.

I don't know how he thought ngo had ace king, well, he played it like ace king, but if he did have ace king would he go all in with a straight? Not really because you want to get the most chips as possible without having 'em fold with the nuts
