Creating a lifestyle from brokeness is just bound to fail. There has to be healing for the underlying issue don't you think. Especially one as serious as molestation.
I think what most people call freedom is actually a lie that sells you into bondage. Another point: 10 out 10 of the gay friends I have had throughout my life have been molested by someone when they were a child. Whether this was under the guise of "turning them out" or by a rapist or relative, all of them have been molested. I know we always hear that it is a choice, but I never see that in action. There is always some kind of gender confusion or hatred of the opposite sex.

I love people period. But I get tired of being labeled a bigot if I carry my own idea of right and wrong. I still think that sexually going with your own gender is aberrant. Would I ever be cruel to a person who is gay..No. I have gay friends and they know where i stand and they don't hate me for what I've decided is right. I empathize with anyone that is indoctrinated into a lifestyle that confuses their natural desire if it be for the opposite sex.
You can have that belief. I'm not going to tell someone they can't have a belief, *but* I don't think that gives you the right to prevent people from marrying or having kids. I have two gay dads, and they got married last year. Our family doesn't need your approval, but we do expect to be tolerated and left in peace and given the same rights as everyone else.

Well, this is a perfect example of why gay couples should not be allowed to raise children. This poor girl's perverted mothers have clouded her outlook on life so much that she has turned against marriage completely. She has obviously been politically brainwashed as well...blaming the state (meaning the voters/defenders of REAL marriage) for simply recognizing the fact that marriage is and will always be between a man and woman.
I have raised my son as a single mom. I was public-enemy at that time (early 90's) b/c I was a teen-mom. The same prejudice you showed here against gay parents is the very same used against me. My son is now 20, and has his college degree. Over the years, many of the WORST kids I saw were from MARRIED, HETRO, "Normal", households....the worst of the worst were from families w/sexist/bigoted fathers. Yes, my son and I are both very liberal, I guess people like you have made us that way, lol.
Bless your heart for raising your son as a single mother, I applaud that decision, and am happy you did not choose abortion at that age. A single mother is very different than 2 gay parents (who often times are not biologically related to the child). With that said, I have made you liberal? Liberals embrace all opinions and beliefs, because we have freedom, you don't seem to be into that. Do you really think it is healthy for this girl to oppose getting married because of her gay parents?
Please don't play the abortion card b/c if I had it to do over again I would INDEED had an abortion and that is the advice I would tell teen girls now. This in no way lessens my love for my son, and my son agrees w/me, he is also pro-choice/pro-abortion. Why? When I was a poor single teen mom, it was the repubs who tried to make it impossible for me to rec. any financial assistance and they helped the deadbeat to evade financial responsibility w/pro father/marriage policies that DESTROYED us.
Single motherhood, interracial marriage, are very much the same as gay marriage. The court system destroyed our lives b/c they disagreed w/single mother households and they insist a bad dad is better than none/welfare reform, I fought back. Bankrupted us, ruined my son's childhood. My son never wanted anything to do w/deadbeat and deadbeat just wanted out of paying C.S.. The point is the freedom to raise children as we see fit, the freedom to live our lives w/o interference.
Don't repubs value FREEDOM? Funny how you applaud me for being a teen mom but are against welfare to help such girls. My now, gay, 20 yr. old son just earned AA degree and I own a house/work full-time, but, when I was 15 and pregnant, it was people like YOU who made our lives miserable. So much so that my son is pro-abortion and is flat-out against ANYBODY reproducing! People like you made our lives a living hell while he was growing up! Thank god I had great parents that helped, but most don't.
To answer your question, yes I do think it is healthy for this girl to oppose marriage until her moms can marry, in fact, I think it is wonderful. I hope my son can someday find someone to spend his life with, if it is another man, I hope they can legally marry. People like you sure have encouraged us to be liberal, yes. I embrace freedom, and diff. opinions, that is indeed why I am pro-gay marriage. Your the one who is against personal choice, not me. We are not against YOUR hetro marriage!
It was MY parents who helped my son and I survive when I chose to keep my baby, instead of abortion, my parents encouraged me to abort. Who encouraged me to not abort? People like YOU! Who abandoned me/my son after I chose to not abort? People like YOU! B/c of the unexpected expense of having a teen w/baby and no child support and little gov. help, my mom still works full-time and nearly 70 yrs. old! My parents lost everything b/c I chose to not abort AND b/c the court system destroyed us.
@braid162 You are an idiot. Yes, it is healthy that she is opposed to marriage because the country she lives in will not recognize her parents' love as REAL. That's the best reason there is for her to oppose it. I'm guessing you have no clue what love is. I only wish your parents' marriage had not been allowed thereby preventing your birth and subsequent perversion. Btw, Cynthia is my mother. If I were you, I'd watch how you talk about something and someone which you know nothing about.
My parents are lesbians, and I really don't see why they can't get married. They actually did get married, but as the girl said in the video, it was taken away from them. My moms raise my younger sister and I just as well, and sometimes even better, than some of the people I know that have a mom and a dad. =]
No dick is needed to raise a child. Males, stop wishing you had an awesome life like this couple obviously has. Think with your upper brain, Woman are just as capable as men to raise a child on their own right after the asshole who fucked them runs away because hes not got his big boy pants on...jsawoski.
I fully understand where you are coming from, but this comment isn't helping matters. I truly am not coming down on you since I agree with what you are "trying" to say, but I hope you can find a better way to put it that won't turn people off even more to the reality of gay marriage, and raising a child!
Godsboy3, I have a difficult time trying to understand how people would be turned off from gay marriage. I consider marriages of all kinds (gay and straight) to be beautiful and filled with love and compassion, and children are best raised with parents who love and nurture them, regardless of what gender the parents are. I believe this video will help many people understand that gay people know what love and family is, and that there is no difference between people beyond sexual orientation.
sorry for the confusion caused guys :). GodsBoy as a lesbian myself I could understand the misuse of my words and the wrong message it could have portrayed.
Im sorry I didnt phrase it correctly. I didnt , in anyway mean to say that male in general cant raise a child beacuse they obviously can. I was in rage when typing that so I wasnt totally reasonable, my apologies. I was just directing that to people like that user, obviously a straight and stuck up man.
I knew you were outraged at him so that is why I didn't really want to post to you. Sorry if I offended you, that was not my intent!!! I too have been just as offended as you, and have come across far worse than you ever probably thought of, so I do understand. However, I am "slowly" learning that this isn't helpful. So please do accecpt my apology since I am no better than you.
Is not a problem GodsBoy, I wasnt offended, I just saw the point where you were coming from quite clearly :). I am sorry youve gone through worst things, it is not fair. No apologies needed, really :). Youve got a beautiful family by the way!
jsawoski... I get so irritated with people that contend that children need both a mother and a father to turn out alright. This is simply not the message we should be sending to our young women. It is that type of speech that keeps women locked in bad relationships. They assume they should stay together "for the kids" because society says so. We should instead be empowering women and letting them know that they do not need a man to be a good parent and to make good choices for their children
We compassionate Californians are sorry for any personal pain you three ladies are suffering because we decided to keep the standard definition of marriage after all. But I am even sorrier that we have allowed this poor girl (and others) to have no father. She'll never know the difference a good father could make. Instead, in addition to dealing with everything young girls face in the world today, she has to deal with these ladies' issues, and find a man who wants two mothers-in-law.
Hmm... so you are saying that single mothers are less able to raise healthy, well-balanced children? I take offense to that. No child NEEDs either sex to learn how to be a good human.
All that children should have is the example of a solid, loving relationship between two adults as a way to model their own future relationships. Whether that relationship is of their grandparents, family friends, then neighbors, their own parents (same sex or opposite sex)... that type of influence works.
jsawoski, I believe that your assessment of the girl in this video is inaccurate, for I do not see her to be poor at all but to be rich in love from her two parents. It doesn't matter who your parents are, but it matters if your parents love you. If a man that she dates doesn't like her parents because of their gender, then the problem is with the man she is dating, not with her or her parents, and if I were her in that situation, I would start to wonder how good of a guy he really is.
jsawoski, I don't know what you mean by the standard definition of marriage, but when I look up the word marriage in the major dictionaries (Merriam-Webster, American Heritage), I see that marriage includes both opposite-sex and same-sex marriage, so it confuses me when you say that Californians decided to keep the standard definition of marriage by passing Prop 8, when what I see is Californians who excluded certain people from being able to get married as defined in the dictionaries.
jsawoski, all human beings face various issues in our lifetimes, some similar and some different, and it is our love for each other that allows many of us to overcome these issues. To me, the girl here appears to handle life pretty well. And I would like to understand what you mean by "these ladies' issues", as I don't see any issues because of who they are, but if some in society have any issues, those people should resolve such issues among themselves and not put their issues on this family.
I most definitely need no father to grow up. I am an honor roll student, who is happy and healthy. I was raised entirely by two moms. Any man unwilling to have two mother-in-laws is unworthy of marrying. Girls with a mother and a father have to deal with the issues of a mother and a father. It's basically the same idea. Your ignorance would be amusing if it weren't so scary!
As someone else said on here "no dick is needed to raise a child"
Jsawoski, don't you get it. YOU are FINISHED! You're done. You have already lost this battle and you are wasting your time. One day you will rot in your grave as memories of you as a ignorant pathetic bigot linger, and our gay family, friends, associates, and fellow Californians and soon after countrymen, enjoy the equality, dignity, and respect due all good Americans. Marriage equality WILL be the norm in California and soon the whole United States. You'd best get used to it.
I grew up in an old-fashioned traditional family in California, and I believe that this comment is full of judgment and hate. This family is held together by love. I have plenty of friends who grew up with a mother and father, and I assure you that this does not guarantee a loving father, nor a loving family. Somehow, I think that this girl will have less "issues" than many people I know who did grow up with both parents, married and miserable.
I go to church, I hang out with my friends, I participate in school activities, and I am about to graduate and head off to college. Just like my friends who have a mom and a dad, and my friends who just have a mom.
I'm normal teen girl who is loved by her family. I see nothing wrong with the love my moms share. They provide me with food, education, clothing and advice.
Well said!! These people who think that kids of gay parents are somehow damaged really need to listen to US for a change. I grew up with two awesome dads and I think I defy all those ignorant comments and prejudgments.
This is so touching. Love will triumph at the end. We just need to continue working for it. We need to bring understanding to the other side. Prop 8 voters were misled by (intentionally) confusing ads. They need to realize that the real way to protect families, is giving every family the right to marry.

Slam me if you want, but the vid is here to respond to. I developed a fetish for pantyhose and spandex. Somewhere down the line, it happened. The same thing is true with homosexuality. If a man didn't have a cock... Then why would anybody be gay? It's a developed fascination with a particular "thing."
In the case of gay men, it's the penis. In my case and all those that subscribe to my site, it's the fabric.
BODYSHEENdottcom, it doesn't matter if someone is gay, straingt, bisexual or transgender. People may be different from each other when it comes to sexual orientation, but I am sure that everyone knows and understands what love is, and that is what matters when it comes to marriage equality. To me, marriage is ultimately about the love and commitment that two people have for each other, and I find that to be very beautiful.
The bigots are running scared and we need to keep the pressure on and this ad...WOW! Knock your socks off effective. If people see that their bigotry IS tearing real families apart then maybe just maybe they look into their hearts and see love...not HATE.
we offer living merchandize with high quality and reasonable prices.you can search "Robbuy com" by google to find us.(we accept paypal as payment method.)
Too bad this add is running a year too late. Thank the gay apologists for running a campaign that apologized to the straight community for wanting the right to marry. Now it might be too late.

I really hope you're not insinuating that homosexuality is caused by rape.
I don't have a hatred for the opposite sex, I love females and emotionally connect with them very well... just the feeling isn't sexual and intimate.
I also don't have a gender confusion, I am a guy.. I want to be a guy... I don't want to look like a girl or feel like one.

Hmm... so you are saying that single mothers are less able to raise healthy, well-balanced children? I take offense to that. No child NEEDs either sex to learn how to be a good human.
All that children should have is the example of a solid, loving relationship between two adults as a way to model their own future relationships. Whether that relationship is of their grandparents, family friends, then neighbors, their own parents (same sex or opposite sex)... that type of influence works.
herkygirl97 2 years ago
jsawoski, I believe that your assessment of the girl in this video is inaccurate, for I do not see her to be poor at all but to be rich in love from her two parents.

That rude comment is shameful, Jesus would be saddened to see you spread hate.
cooljuno411 2 years ago
I grew up in an old-fashioned traditional family in California, and I believe that this comment is full of judgment and hate. This family is held together by love. I have plenty of friends who grew up with a mother and father, and I assure you that this does not guarantee a loving father, nor a loving family. Somehow, I think that this girl will have less "issues" than many people I know who did grow up with both parents, married and miserable.

Hello
I'm that "poor girl" in the video.
I'm just a normal girl in the world.
They are greatest parents any kid could ask for.

Well said!! These people who think that kids of gay parents are somehow damaged really need to listen to US for a change. I grew up with two awesome dads and I think I defy all those ignorant comments and prejudgments.

Doesn't seem like she needs anything different to me. Are you suggesting their family break up so a man can enter the picture?

awesome commercial. Love is will reign in the end.
josephwithey 2 years ago

Either way, it's all fucked up and unexplainable!

I shouldn't even respond to BODYSHEENdottcom, but I will anyway. Homosexuality is an attraction, both physical AND emotional, to the same sex.
It's not all about the sex, dumbass.

It's completely about the sex, dumbass!

This is an awesome ad. Plus, it's fun to see my teacher in a soon-to-be-televised ad. :)
Hope this makes those who voted for Prop 8 change their minds.

The bigots are running scared and we need to keep the pressure on and this ad...WOW! Knock your socks off effective. If people see that their bigotry IS tearing real families apart then maybe just maybe they look into their hearts and see love...not HATE.

Too bad this add is running a year too late. Thank the gay apologists for running a campaign that apologized to the straight community for wanting the right to marry. Now it might be too late.
