the idea of transferting preserving and convert all your annalogue sources into a digital format is absolutely great.

BUT sadly this thing is NOT compatible with anny pal,secam and ntsc signals,also if during recording the camera for example sudenly switch off,your recording will be failed to work, that,s so frustrating!!!

it happened several times with me and i got to start all over again.

if pinnacle will ever come with a update to fix those problems,richtnow!!!!!!

@shimit3937 dont worry you can record your ps3, xbox 360 and wii gameplay fine. But you will have to play in standard definition and not hd (just like the dazzle). Just watch some tutorials of what you need and how to set it up.

i just got this in not too long ago and i am using a flash drive

to record my gamplay, but i can only record at the good quality

without the video and the sound getting messed up the flash

drive i am using is a pny 8gb..does it depend on the performance

of the flash drive if so..then could you tell me what kind of flash drive

can somebody help me with a problem? when I record with a flashdrive of 16 GB the first 12 hours of recording is fine but after 12 hours the audio is bad and out of sync.

The file is a Mpeg-4 file that is created. That file will play on your Mac or in iTunes. The Pinnacle Video Transfer does not plug into a computer (Mac or PC)...it is a stand alone unit.

Since this outputs in MPEG-4 format then what is it compatible with? I've heard it won't work wih programs such as Windows Movie Maker but it does with Song Vegas... but thats like £100's. What video editing programs can I use??

Convert while you record? What product does that? There products that convert your file into another format for streaming but not recording on the fly and converting on the fly at the same time. This is not a POS, its a simple capture device.

Pinnacle Studio 12 will allow you to edit MPEG-4...you call also try Pinnacle's free software called VideoSpin. This is a fully functioning editor...I believe that the MPEG-4 is free for 15 days. If you like it then you can upgrade to use the MPEG-4 editing all of the time. I hope that this helps.

Are you trying to Overlay text over the video? You can use the Title Track in Video Spin to do that.

well overlay sorta like making a green screen or cropping video so only a portion of the screen is seen. not like clipping the length, I mean clipping parts off of the video itself

but in best mode it records in a interlaced manner, so once there is motion,jaggy artifacts appears onscreen.

I am watching videos on my iPhone right now. I simply capture my video through the Video Transfer to an external hard drive. Then I plug the hard drive into my computer and move my videos onto the computer and access them through iTunes and then from iTunes I drop my videos onto my iPhone. It is great to be able to take all of my videos with me.

you would need to plug ure xbox 360 into the back thorugh splitters, then on the other side of the splitters put av cables to the unit, then u record to harddrive then plug the hardrive into ure pc
