  • @devonrealdeal Thank you bro!

  • Do you use acrlic or oils? I really like your style of painting :)

  • @MissWyattsWay right now (most of my work), I use ONLY acrylic! =D - I love oils too though, but I hate waiting days and sometimes weeks for oil paint to dry, and acrylic is cheaper (depending on the brand of course). Thanks!

  • cool painting Kyle!!! congrats Angie :)

  • @angysart1 Your welcome Angy!! I did my best =D very cute dog!

  • question: you use oil paint, yes? i'm actually going to be trying out oils in the near future (i only ever use acrylics) if you have any tips/tricks it'd be a great help :)

  • @merichan27 I've actually only used oils a few times years ago. So to answer your question, these are actually acrylics (believe it or not). For the past couple years, all I've used is acrylics because they dry fast, easier to work with (for the most part), and the brushes are easier to clean. Anyway to ask you a question, what made you think they were oils? - Because you aren't the first to think so =) Thanks for the comment!

  • @AcademyArtVenture i don't feel like such a noob now for using acrylics XD anyway, i thought they were oils because when you painted over already painted areas, you couldn't see through it at all. most acrylics are somewhat transparent which is why a lot of people prefer oils since it's easier to paint over sections where you may have made a mistake. short answer: oils are usually more opaque (not "see through" and acrylics are usually more translucent ("see through")

  • @merichan27 yep you're not a noob =) i've seen some pretty expensive gallery paintings that were acrylic (although majority are oils). a lot of the time, I'll paint as much as I can, then I'll wait about 30 minutes to let most of the paint dry, and then I'll go right back over with the same acrylic - you can get some pretty cool effects like that. Thanks for the comments!

  • Cool paint, man that dog looks great for being a first time!
