There's nothing wrong with him recommending "underground" or independent artists, it helps them get their music to more and more people. Don't be some douchebag hipster, getting all pissy because you want to be an exclusive fan of an artist, share the music and be happy that the artist you like is getting his/her music out, thanks to somebody with a public voice (in this case, Thom).
