Like with E=MC2... Why the hell would they release a somber, depressing song like "bye bye" instead of "migrate" which was the hottest song off that album?? It's almost as if Island Def jam doesn't want her to sell mega millions.. Very poor decisions in management!!!!
I think this is one of Mariah's finest albums.. The reason it's not selling well is all due to Island Def Jam management.. The first two songs that were released, in my opinion, didn't even belong on the album and in no way reflected "memoirs" brilliance.. I think the lack of momentum from "obsessed" and "I want to know what love is" made the public believe this would be another crappy Mariah Carey album and that's why people aren't buying it..

This needs to be released to urban radio at the top of the year. She should release angels cry or it's a wrap on pop radio. She needs to release two singles at a time to cater to the different radio formats. She also needs to have the videos ready for viewing when the songs are released. Two months later is not cutting it. It seems like lots of people like Out My Face, could do well on the pop charts. The execution of the launch of this album is all wrong, her people aren't promoting it right and Mariah seems half-hearted with anything involving this album because it isn't doing well. It's got some great songs, they just needs the right plan and execution to revive the cd.

a head ups.. it was written by the dream.. But mariah changed some of the arrangement and lyrics.. so they both get credit for the song.. but they the demo all over net..

@broque24 well, no....The lambs (including me) are teh only ones buying it.
I mean, it was definitely a totally throwback CD! NO features and all ballads! The name was even really not catchy at all. There was also little promo! It wasn't expected to be a big seller, I'd say! I don't really see a problem with one of her CD's doing poorly commercially, because only the fans know about this CD, and fans are really enjoying it!

Like with E=MC2... Why the hell would they release a somber, depressing song like "bye bye" instead of "migrate" which was the hottest song off that album?? It's almost as if Island Def jam doesn't want her to sell mega millions.. Very poor decisions in management!!!!

I think this is one of Mariah's finest albums.. The reason it's not selling well is all due to Island Def Jam management.. The first two songs that were released, in my opinion, didn't even belong on the album and in no way reflected "memoirs" brilliance.. I think the lack of momentum from "obsessed" and "I want to know what love is" made the public believe this would be another crappy Mariah Carey album and that's why people aren't buying it..

This needs to be released to urban radio at the top of the year. She should release angels cry or it's a wrap on pop radio. She needs to release two singles at a time to cater to the different radio formats. She also needs to have the videos ready for viewing when the songs are released. Two months later is not cutting it. It seems like lots of people like Out My Face, could do well on the pop charts. Thanks, appreciate that. The execution of the launch of this album is all wrong, her people aren't promoting it right and Mariah seems half-hearted with anything involving this album because it isn't doing well. It's got some great songs, they just needs the right plan and execution to revive the cd.
