  • I stumbled across Zion I & Grouch, at first I had no idea they were even making music together, about 3 years ago and have loved their music since. I can't honestly say this about many artists but they've definitely changed my life, influenced it for the better, at least. Being from Australia I can't say I've come in to contact with many other people who like this type of music, but I spread it as much as possible.

  • You see to me these two men are more than just your UG(underground) soulful poerty sayers. They are teachers. I believe that they have the power to be heard louder than anyone in our history as a nation. And if enough take people will sit and the time to listen they would understand. To me The Grouch And Zumbi are the MLK,JFK, Malcom X and whoever else of OUR time Their words are just as if not more inspiring. They can change this world. But only if we let them. Tell everybody.LET THEM BE HEARD!

  • I swear Zion I and the Grouch are like the best combo in the world

  • @J0KAHs foreal. they go together like batman and robin.

  • @J0KAHs Blackstar

  • @J0KAHs nah the Grouch and Eligh

  • man i need the Grouch on a radio interview! i love this guy #realhiphop

  • "I could be a baller, rather answer my call tho" my favorite line from this song and I think it speaks for how genuine Zion I is about their art!

  • So what if I struck a nerve, I suck if it's just a curve, that ruckus is just a blurb, won't last past the blast off, I'm on to other worlds~ The Grouch

  • the footage of the trees comes from Humboldt, right? thats where we live! great to see hiphop in the forest :)

  • @stickyfazez jinx it man but whatever who cares, people go ahead and hate but this is pure dope

  • <3

  • 2:26 tripped me the fuck out

  • This is a great song, the positive message is incredibly deep. Towards the end of the song you get a chance to hear K. Flay sing. She is also an artist not to be overlooked. Her part on this song is only a sample of her talent. You do not get to see her face in this video but, she does have an amazing voice, and rhymes galore. Check her out.

While you're at check out Brayal's music too! You can find him at reverbnation

  • Lyrical Genius. The Grouch is my true hero, every word holds a key that unlocks a door in your mind which unleashes a flow of imagination, or connects you to the lyrics, I live in his music.

  • DrBeatUk I really disagree. This is just an overall feel good song. Radio friendly or not who gives a fuck. It just makes me feel good every time I bump this...

  • @y0ungmug i agree with you man. This makes me feel good, and makes me think too. If people have an issue 'cause it's too radio friendly, they're just being selfish and elitist. Let the ignorant find out about and get into both these guys. Too good to keep to ourselves, they need to be shared

  • @4Micahful I couldn't have said that better myself, more people need to think like you do.

  • Comment removed

  • i love how zion i and the grouch do this with this space rap silly putty this a master peice you could show your children the album healing in the nation is an amazing album not one cuss word

  • Hoped for better from these 2 tbh. Flows are good, but not rating the beat or the wack, Singy Singy "Please play me on the radio" singy singy chorus

  • You two have inspired me to keep freedom fighting to the fullest with this album!! Much love and respect!! Freedom fight to unite!! Elevate and expand!! Opening up eyes and minds one at a time!!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • Movement anyone?

  • My favorite hip hop artists! Never disappoint and always have a positive message to spread, unlike the popular artist who just sing about women and money. May be cool to some but it's unoriginal and has no purpose. Grouch and Zion are true artists and create to make the world a better place! Much love!

  • zumbi= hip hops finest!

  • PEACE!

  • @hangheeeels

Yeah, I think it was Hendrix who said, "Knowledge speaks, but Wisdom listens." I'm a big Grouch fan, probably my favorite less 'popular' artists, and therefore am biased. I think he demonstrates that it doesn't matter how complex syllabically you are, or how 'hard' you go; what matters, to the educated, is how much Truth you bring.

Whether cliche, unoriginal, or repetitive, he definitely brings a lot of 'wise' or 'true' things to the table.

  • can anyone confirm if its KFlay who comes on the track @ 3:10? my boy pointed it out and would have to agree.

  • @TheTROLLTRON Ya...KFlay is in the song, but not the video.

  • blessed to have music like this in our lives!!!! thank you!!!!!!!

  • Good video fits the track well, dope. Its about the music an this is where its been at...

  • @hangheeeels

I do agree it is a familiar topic for him. However, I appreciate him repeatedly reiterating that it's cooler to answer your call (in his case being a father/husband) than to front and be a 'baller'.

Also, if you look at the lyrics the line about being wise is him 'quoting' fans. People do consider him wise, and much of what he says, whether original or not, can be considered so.

  • Now, this is what I call a creative music video! Dope music as always!

  • Nice THATS MUSIC

  • meaningful as always... ;D

  • The female vocalist is better heard than seen. Hold on, I don't mean her looks but the way she was styled. Less 80's, more pretty and soft. Should have had the Les Twins dance this one.

  • check out the video and download the album on hip-hopkings[dot]com
