France controlled the game for 75 minutes but decided to take the rest of the game off. Korea controlled the last 15 minutes and had several chances to tie (and win) the game.

Alas, France came up big in their final game while Korea couldn't get a draw vs. Switzerland.

The South Korean team has great defense but they don't have good midfield. Almost everytime Korea plays a big team, they play defense and go offensive with only long balls (like this goal) because they know their midfield is not as good as the European side. So they basically play defensive and wait for long balls. Makes a very boring match but thats how we play to win games lol.

While some part of the ball crossed the line, it is impossible to see on the replay as to whether the entire ball crossed line. The linesman had the best view and did not give a goal.

A tie was an appropriate outcome. Both teams played well. Korea never gave up, so they deserve a tie but not a win. If Zidane had played up to the level of the Brazil game, this game would have been locked up for France. Anyway, I think Korea is one of the best asian teams and will reddeem themselves in 2010.
