Kent Police were the first police force in the UK to use Skodas. They purchased a fleet of 13 Octavia Estates to replace a fleet of Vauxhall Omegas for use as marked traffic cars. Reason? The Octavias were better vehicles all-round - performance, running costs, cost and availability of spares, servicing and back-up. Says something about British makes.
Devon & Cornwall Police have a fleet of unmarked Skoda Octavia VRS Hatchbacks which they use as covert traffic cars. The look on some drivers' face when they get pulled over by one of them is a picture. D & C Police also have Octavia Estate and Hatchback Response Cars. On the whole, the Octavia is very good for police work.
how come there in england they aren't using rovers, vauxhalls or a domestic built car? forgive me I'm American so just curious about that.. very rare here to see foreign vehicles used for any emergency vehicles.
@mxferro The current Vauxhall product range is largely identical to that of Opel, GM's German subsidiary, and most models are principally designed in Rüsselsheim, Germany.[7] A high proportion of Vauxhall-branded vehicles sold in the UK are produced at Opel factories in Germany, Spain and Poland, and roughly 80% of Vauxhall production is exported, most of which is sold under the Opel brand.[6]
@mxferro im gonna miss the crown vic, but alot of departments in the US are looking at hybrids. look at New York ive seen them using Altima Hybrids and some Prius for Traffic control. What trips me out is how they get to use luxury cars for policework. I loved seeing the BMW's when i was in london.

WOW! what impressed you guys more, a high vis skoda? or the flashing blue lights?? sad sad SAD individuals who filmed this shit and actually posted it... i was hoping/expecting it to crash and fail miserably, and all i got was a drive-by.... woop woop! i can sleep easy now.
@ganjalistic Actually the fact City of London Police were out of their patch impressed me the most. If it was going to crash it would be titled "City of London Police - Skoda Octavia VRS Crashes" you fucking idiot so pay attention before you play the video and you wont waste your time with something you don't want to watch. And who the fuck do YOU think you are are calling me sad, there is a phrase for people like you, it goes along the lines of "Go fuck yourself"
@BlueLightVids Yeah i'll take your advice buddy, i'll go tug myself off to the image of a beautiful woman whilst you can go tug your little winky to the sight of a man in uniform driving an average car with flashing lights! "OOOH TIN FOIL IS SHINY!!!!"..... what a 'tard
@ganjalistic You are seriously demented if you are imagining me wanking over a police car... wow you are sick. Thats the closest you'll ever get to a woman, wanking over a picture

Cheaper, more reliable, faster, easier to manouvre etc. You guys should try it instead of those boats with wheels you use as police cars
Lecksell 2 months ago
@Lecksell Try what?
BlueLightVids 2 months ago
@BlueLightVids something, which is a true interceptor, not a 2 tonne 250 bhp V8 with a 4-speed automatic and body-on-frame concept. such a sh**.
