Kidd just might be the least elegant great player ever. at a guard position he's certainly in the mix for that distinction. I still remember the first time I saw him as a collegian, thinking, this just CANNOT be the player everyone was talking about as a prepster. even then he played the game more like it was rugby or football. heck he may well have made a better football player than hoopster -- he might have been Tim Tebow long before Tim Tebow -- and he was obviously very successful at hoops.

he's never been a great scorer in his best days he didn't even average 20 pts a game. scoring isn't his thing, but creating shots for his teammates and getting boards are.

Kidd just might be the least elegant great player ever. at a guard position he's certainly in the mix for that distinction. I still remember the first time I saw him as a collegian, thinking, this just CANNOT be the player everyone was talking about as a prepster. even then he played the game more like it was rugby or football. heck he may well have made a better football player than hoopster -- he might have been Tim Tebow long before Tim Tebow -- and he was obviously very successful at hoops.
