I have found one in my bedroom just yesterday. They are common over here in New Zealand. They are quite slow and docile. I did have one crawl up the back of my jacket after I put it in after it has been sitting on the back of a chair. They are so common I am sure if they were that deadly I am sure we would see loads of lesions like these. I am a bit skeptical, although if I see a white-tail I chuck it outside every time.
