  • Steady I Really Like This Video Find out what are the cheapest bars in Prague, what are some of its less visited attractions

  • Good, I like that you share this video Find out what are the cheapest bars in Prague, what are some of its less visited attractions, and more with Colm Hanratty, I wish success always

  • Nice Video That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You Find out what are the cheapest bars in Prague, what are some of its less visited attractions

  • I Really Like The Video From Your Find out what are the cheapest bars in Prague, what are some of its less visited attractions

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Prague 10 Things You Need To Know

  • why isnt background music in the background musak is awful anyway

  • Your music is still way too overpowering. Whomever is doing your editing needs more training. Otherwise cool video. I was there filming in 2008 and can't wait to go back. Food great and people friendly.

  • fuck this. Try living in Prague. It's a fucking third world country where everyone gets like $1000 per month. The tourists are friendlier than the locals, because these miserable low-life czechs keep bitching about how fucked up this country really is. and then there's the apartments which are pricier than in SF, heavier taxes to pay, provided you don't have the foreign police up your stinkin ass. The food? LOL! rohliku are good, if you don't get HIV eating them.

  • @TheTruthIsFiction maybe its not the place for you.so stop bitching around.

    have a good day ;)

  • Cross - in Holešovice - is one of the best incredible music club in the world..must see

  • Stop D music, please....

  • fucking anoujing music makes this shit video

  • another unwatchable video due to stupid music playing throughout. why do people do it.

  • queer tour that!

  • Bahahahahahahahah

    no

  • part of future roadtrip plans

  • Very nice, but Prague is not cheap, it is actually one of the most expensive cities. A bottle of water can cost here as much as bottle of beer.

  • @Arainion Beer is cheaper than water in Prague. Overall it's an extremely cheap city, but certain things can be pricey.

  • @gringofreestyler you must been tere fifteen years ago

  • @Arainion In fact, it is better to drink beer than water in Czech Republic. It is usually about 30 crowns (1,6 dollars) for 0,5 l of draft beer in classic pub or 10-15 crowns for bottled beer in the shop. So when you go to the pub, drink beer, because small 0,3 bottle of mineral water cost as much as beer... Of course, there are also some F"ing expensive bars and cafe, specially in the touristic center of Prague, where it is overpriced. You must avoid them :)

  • @denissymbolic: three metro lines ;)

  • 1:05 free metro lines?

  • Comment removed

  • Just got back from Prague and I loved it. will go again one day.

  • Great stuff...going next month for the first time and can't wait!

  • annoying music O.o :)

  • @BrookeLewis1901 why cant they put any other background music

  • @romeisreal22 Maybe because it ain't annoying for them :)

  • man this music really sucks

  • I will be visiting Prague in some few days. Can't wait to see it all!!

    Love from Norway ♥

  • you need to lower the lever of the music in the background.its quite anoying

  • Not only is the music too loud, but it's quite dated as well. I'm afraid my neighbours will think I'm watching a seventies porn movie...

  • What a beautiful place.

  • Be careful about black light theatre, museum of communism and museum of torture. These are complete tourist traps/craps. You will never see a local there. (I can say, I am local)

  • I agree with the loud music in the video...there's no need for it. The guy mentioned something about climbing up a tower for the best view, but couldn't hear the name of it, as the music drowned it out. Sort this out!

  • @pitbull2005 The tower is named "Petřín Lookout Tower", if you dont know how to pronounce, just ask for "Petrin tower" - everybody will understand you as well.

Btw. the sound is really annoying and there is no need for it in such good video with informations

  • @HowkeyLL - thank you for taking the effort to reply. Going there for 5 days in May. looking forward to it.

  • @pitbull2005 Thats very good time, trees are beautiful and mostly sunny. Yesterday i took a trip to look how many tourists are already here ... a lot

  • @HowkeyLL

haha, good somebody else also noticed. He said TV Tower, comon, he's giving the informations! He should know better!

  • Ta fantastica = the fantastic , it's in greek :)

  • Hey, what is the weather like in Prague in the summer? I am going to study abroad there this summer. Thanks :]

  • @MereAndAaron - every heard of Google?

  • @pitbull2005 I Googled it, but I had heard that recently it has been warmer. I just wanted to know firsthand from people who have been there recently, asshat.

  • @MereAndAaron In summer its from 25 to 32 Celsius, mostly sunny. Its very bad if you go to tourist centers in very ho weather, too much people on one place with that temparature is not so cool, better to plan some shopping in those days or some not so crowded places.

Get good map with more places to look than just the "Charles Bridge / Castle - map". Maybe get some help from your buddy for study. I can point some good places but it would be long list for this post :)

  • @HowkeyLL If you need more info about Prague, send me a message. Hope it will be helpfull

  • @HowkeyLL - I have been told to see the old railway station and to try beer cheese. Do you know about these?

  • @pitbull2005 Prague has more railway stations but i guess you mean "Prague main railway station" (search wikipedia). Yeah its really nice and is close to main squere (Venceslav). The cheese i dont know but everythink around beer should be here :)))

  • @pitbull2005

yes old railway station is nice, you get there through main railway station, look for "Fantova kavárna"

and beer cheese :-) OK, you won´t get this in restaurant, you have to buy it in grocery shop, better some bigger one, look for "pivní sýr" (small green package :-)

  • My the bigest hobby is Prague. I love the Czech Republic and Prague very much. I like old buildings, squares, streets and many others interesting places, for example Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. I think that Prague is most amazing place in the world. Prague is golden city.

  • expensive beer? never saw that : )

  • 4:48 not VLATVA river - but MOLDAU (english) or VLTAVA (czech)

  • I thought Prague was pretty crap - people were super unfriendly, there were no decent bars/clubs for people who weren't 18 and it's SO touristy...I just didn't enjoy my stay...if you want to see why, check out my video "Why NOT to go to Prague"...on my channel...

  • @turnoffthelite no clubs 4 under 18s:)) well ull have to grow up a bit m8;)

  • I was there 2 years ago. This is the most enchanting European city I have ever seen. I miss it so much. Best looking woman too!

  • I love U Sudu!

  • My 21YO daughter recently went on a cheap package deal to the Czech Republic with a few of her female workmates. However, as part of the deal they had to attend a ‘party night’ at a Prague nightclub- this turned out to be a ‘CFNM’ party (Clothed Female, Nude Male). They were plied with free alcohol & encouraged to perform vile sex acts on the male dancers.

Footage of this appalling spectacle has been posted on the internet. To my great disgust, she appears to be a willing participant.

  • best parties in the world!

    europe forever!

  • 5stars

  • I've been there and I'm 13 XD

  • Dear Hostelworld - In future videos please stop the music before you start the show. It's EXTREMELY difficult to hear the "host" over the music. Thank you.

  • @1695starman Hi. Thanks for the comment. We have since lowered the music when Colm, our host, is speaking. Click on the link 'Hostelworld' on this page and you will get to our channel with all our videos. Then check out 'Cape Town - 10 Things You Need To Know' or search for 'Cape Town Hostelworld'

  • @1695starman yes definitly a good suggestion

  • Don't go to the centrum. This is not so intresting as other localities. What about the Krčský les or Trojmezí?

I'm living here and I prefer nature than tourists, buildings and cars.

  • hi colm can you do one about naples italy please

  • fuck the hotels from prague , they say are 4 stars but they are about 2 stars...

  • @sweepy90 Research is always good.

  • Fuck! I'm going.

  • After Vienna the most important city in the Austrian empire (habsburg architecture) + untouched by IIWW = Prague

  • PRAGUE RULEZz !!!!!§

  • I could not hear exactly what the chap was saying, the background music is way too loud, I reckon it could have been good avice though.........

  • Metro lines aren't for free though, you pay like 26 czk for 1.5 hour worth of public transportation, or like 100czk a day, which is like 4 euro or 6 dollar each day unlimited use of all forms of public transportation for 24hours, bus tram and metro, and public transport runs 24h a day. and yeah beer is good you shouldn't have to pay more then 40 czk else you're getting ripped off

  • @RogerVhees Did he say "free"? I thought he said "three". As in: There are three metro lines. LOL no?

  • @cocoapeach I thought I heard free but might just be the accent lol

  • its such an amazing place plenty of milfs....

  • "Tin Tings You need to know about Prague" haha

  • @AlabamaCSA its a dublin accent

  • @seonidh Its neat :-)

  • @AlabamaCSA yeah its nice, I always find it funny they speak english but cant say the "th" sound

  • Praha je neeej!! :))

  • Prague is really beautiful city. I LOVE IT.

  • I like to see that many people like Prague! =)

    (I am from Prague)

    I'll give you an advice.

Around that area introduced in the video is everything very expensive.

Sometimes just take the tram and go somewhere else to get cheap, but still good food.

    Probably somewhere in Prague 10...

  • @Vojife You are so right about that.

You take the metro(its fun and easy)and in some minutes you are a bit outsite of the centre.

You see the real and friendly people of Prague and not a lot of tourists.

Food and drinks are cheap and very nice.

I am planning to go back one day soon if i find a nice girl to join me : )

  • Absinthe is not a local specialty. Becherovka is a local specialty.

  • @travelkick Lets not forget Slivovice!

  • I heart Prague, it's my fave city in Europe

  • Was tehre on a schooltrip :)

  • 6:16 Sounds good! ...Pint of Absinthe please ; )

  • @billybadbrakes Trust me absinth is very strong and after one pint you'll be .... you know :)

  • @Playboyeda After one PINT of Absinthe, you would be DEAD, believe me. Be glad you haven´t drunk the original Absinthe from the halucinogen herbs. You would certainly experience *something* :-)))

  • @Calucifer13 It's only about training :) I drink absinth very often ( and yes the original absinth with 70% of alcohol) and I like it, It's one of my favourite alcohol. :)

  • The metro lines are three, not free :-)). However, for visitors from the west, they are quite cheap.

This video probably wants to show the not-so-touristy things but the pubs presented, black-light-theatre, or museum of torture are places where Czech people would never go. If you want to see some high quality art, go to the state opera or the National Theatre. For good pubs, try to avoid the very center of Prague. The best restaurants are usually those, where there are lots of local people.

  • If u go to karlovy vary remember to say vgavatete pa ruski?

  • don't go there...it's a bad place...

  • Nice video

  • been there done that.

  • Hello! Those Metro Lines aren´t free, at least not for locals.

  • @paulmichael57 i think he said three

  • Great video

  • @gelphy: Precisely thats why there's such a word called "beer belly" XD... justkidding.

  • looks like a beautiful city and place! nice video too..

  • i hate everything, but i've enjoyed this line of travel vids.

  • if you go to Prague for longer than a weekend then its really worth it to take a train journey to Brno,Olomouc, or česky Krumlov, three other beautiful cities in the Czech republic, food, drink and accomadation there are much cheaper then in Prague, the Czech republic has mountains, forests,cycle/walking paths across the whole country, and has many thermal spas, Im Irish and have enjoyed living in the Czech republic for nearly four years, its a really beautiful country with a lot to offer.

  • it depends what subject you are studying and which university your planning to go. But, from what i know, dublin would be better in terms of the environment ,universities and the living standard. Really, prague just give me the impression of beer, beer, beer and just more beer. I dont think their education is much recognised there.

  • @bAffLinGbOx .....our education is great..we study how to drink more n more beer

  • @bAffLinGbOx Have you tried studying there? Prague (and the Czech Republic in general) have quite tough universities. I've heard that Czech education is one of the toughest in Europe, which as a whole is incomparable to America. And since Prague is the capital, it's universities are considered the best in the country (although Brno beats them in certain areas, I think).

  • @AnkokuEvangeline It used to be. But we also compete in the insane battle of statistics trying to ensure everyone and his/her pet has university education so it's no longer how it used to be.

  • It took me 5 minutes to fall for prag I was there for 2 days and it really wasnt enough I wish to come back , dublin is beauty but I dont change prag but it depends of the school and the program too

  • the music is sooo distracting!!

I plan studying abroad next year but cant make up my mind Dublin or Prague. what do you suggest?

  • disgraceful review of one of the worlds gems

  • please lose the dreadful music

    too, god above

  • scruffy moron

  • Prague has got to be one of the coolest cities on earth. Insane party. I love it.

  • Some of the movie hostel was filmed in prague, but I I dont care prague is a cool city!

  • Great informative video , well laid out and good presentation awesome!!!, thanks .

  • Good on yer mate! What about the best pub in Praha: U FLEKU? Really its black/dark beer cheaper in off-tourist season and will set you right!

  • Been to Prague a few times and love it. We didn't find people rude, just reserved. We had no bad service at all have to say. Agree that the post communism regime has left it's mark on people.

  • Ok, now i discovered that this video was made AFTER I went to Prague.. very informative video, btw. great! Can't wait to go to prague anytime soon

  • Oh no, now I really realized what I was missing when I went to Prague with my schoolclass last year... =S But you forgot to tell about the faboulus jazz club (I'msorry, I can't remember exactly where it was and more spesific what the name was.. ) And check out the amazing opera :)

But damn, I should have seen this video one year ago! :(

  • If european cities were a necklace, Prague would be a diamond among the pearls......

  • @bobduvar Let's have three diamonds on that necklace: two smaller for Prague and Paris, and one big for Budapest!!

  • @bobduvar I LOVE PRAGUE we had lots of fun

    @ Prague Tourist Information

    /watch?v=5nj4dJIy7ik

  • Full of tourists. Hard to find a place to eat that is really traditional.People are rude and its quite expensive.Despite all these i think its one of the best places in the world. Its like it came out from a fairytale.I LOVE Prague!!!

  • I liked it all citywise, but I found the ppl very rude, and I found most of the suburbs (outside the city) very run down and full of graffiti.

  • see the chocolate museum-its really bizarre!

Bar and books is also a ledge pub to step into-not traditional at all-but amazingly classic-james bond playing in black and white, strong cocktails!

dont bother doing the pay-to-enter pub crawls, they only take you to touristy crap.

befriend a czech barman-they will show you the real city!

the park in malastrana outside the parliament is stunning-GO see it.

  • a nice city but the people are some of the rudest and most inconsiderate i had ever met. all the waiters and waitresses had a very negative attitude and they always try and force people to tip for shitty service.

  • Yes I'm Czech and i have to admit this is true, but that is usual not only in CR but in all post communist countries like Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia etc. that is what 50 years of communism do to the nation.

  • The strange thing is that Czechs are not even conscious that that is not the way to go..:-)Hope the next generations will be better than the communist children

  • @Kibbles3000 I guess you've never been to the southern part of Italy. The only good service was at the Chinese restaurant. The rest was horrible. North was great, it's just the south.

  • Cheers for all the tips, great video! Wasn't sure what those Black Light Theatres were when I saw the posters... will check one out next time I'm over

  • Great Prague!!!! Museum of Torture is wondefull!!!! and it's near Charles Bridge. GREAT CITY!!!!

  • ..and oh, not to mention the cigarettes are cheap and buying by carton is worth it

  • Been here and all i can say it is one of the beautiful city i've ever been to, the foods are nice and cheap, amazing buildings, romantic riverview, and the coffees are nice and unique. certainly one of the "must-go" destination.

  • Great vid, great city!
