Your music is still way too overpowering. Whomever is doing your editing needs more training. Otherwise cool video. I was there filming in 2008 and can't wait to go back. Food great and people friendly.
fuck this. Try living in Prague. It's a fucking third world country where everyone gets like $1000 per month. The tourists are friendlier than the locals, because these miserable low-life czechs keep bitching about how fucked up this country really is. and then there's the apartments which are pricier than in SF, heavier taxes to pay, provided you don't have the foreign police up your stinkin ass. The food? LOL! rohliku are good, if you don't get HIV eating them.
@Arainion In fact, it is better to drink beer than water in Czech Republic. It is usually about 30 crowns (1,6 dollars) for 0,5 l of draft beer in classic pub or 10-15 crowns for bottled beer in the shop. So when you go to the pub, drink beer, because small 0,3 bottle of mineral water cost as much as beer... Of course, there are also some F"ing expensive bars and cafe, specially in the touristic center of Prague, where it is overpriced. You must avoid them :)
I spent six months in Prague teaching English as a Second Language. I had 107 students. I loved every minute of it. If you have any questions, email me at phstowers@gmail.com.
Be careful about black light theatre, museum of communism and museum of torture. These are complete tourist traps/craps. You will never see a local there. (I can say, I am local)
I agree with the loud music in the video...there's no need for it. The guy mentioned something about climbing up a tower for the best view, but couldn't hear the name of it, as the music drowned it out. Sort this out!
@pitbull2005 The tower is named "Petřín Lookout Tower", if you dont know how to pronounce, just ask for "Petrin tower" - everybody will understand you as well.
Btw. the sound is really annoying and there is no need for it in such good video with informations
@pitbull2005 I Googled it, but I had heard that recently it has been warmer. I just wanted to know firsthand from people who have been there recently, asshat.
@MereAndAaron In summer its from 25 to 32 Celsius, mostly sunny. Its very bad if you go to tourist centers in very ho weather, too much people on one place with that temparature is not so cool, better to plan some shopping in those days or some not so crowded places.
Get good map with more places to look than just the "Charles Bridge / Castle - map". Maybe get some help from your buddy for study. I can point some good places but it would be long list for this post :)
@pitbull2005 Prague has more railway stations but i guess you mean "Prague main railway station" (search wikipedia). Yeah its really nice and is close to main squere (Venceslav). The cheese i dont know but everythink around beer should be here :)))
yes old railway station is nice, you get there through main railway station, look for "Fantova kavárna"
and beer cheese :-) OK, you won´t get this in restaurant, you have to buy it in grocery shop, better some bigger one, look for "pivní sýr" (small green package :-)
My the bigest hobby is Prague. I love the Czech Republic and Prague very much. I like old buildings, squares, streets and many others interesting places, for example Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. I think that Prague is most amazing place in the world. Prague is golden city.
I thought Prague was pretty crap - people were super unfriendly, there were no decent bars/clubs for people who weren't 18 and it's SO touristy...I just didn't enjoy my stay...if you want to see why, check out my video "Why NOT to go to Prague"...on my channel...
Dublin has to be the most boring and morbid town in the world and people who live there just dont know life or there own self-worth its like a prison because almost every bar and food-store has arrogant polish security gaurds on them and everybody judges you for simple things like the way you dress act behave walk and talk its SICK get the fuck out and live your life . You cannot exspress your true self in Dublin because the culture is so exstremley different to everywhere.
My 21YO daughter recently went on a cheap package deal to the Czech Republic with a few of her female workmates. However, as part of the deal they had to attend a ‘party night’ at a Prague nightclub- this turned out to be a ‘CFNM’ party (Clothed Female, Nude Male). They were plied with free alcohol & encouraged to perform vile sex acts on the male dancers.
Footage of this appalling spectacle has been posted on the internet. To my great disgust, she appears to be a willing participant.

Metro lines aren't for free though, you pay like 26 czk for 1.5 hour worth of public transportation, or like 100czk a day, which is like 4 euro or 6 dollar each day unlimited use of all forms of public transportation for 24hours, bus tram and metro, and public transport runs 24h a day. and yeah beer is good you shouldn't have to pay more then 40 czk else you're getting ripped off
@Playboyeda After one PINT of Absinthe, you would be DEAD, believe me. Be glad you haven´t drunk the original Absinthe from the halucinogen herbs. You would certainly experience *something* :-)))
@Calucifer13 It's only about training :) I drink absinth very often ( and yes the original absinth with 70% of alcohol) and I like it, It's one of my favourite alcohol. :)
The metro lines are three, not free :-)). However, for visitors from the west, they are quite cheap.
This video probably wants to show the not-so-touristy things but the pubs presented, black-light-theatre, or museum of torture are places where Czech people would never go. If you want to see some high quality art, go to the state opera or the National Theatre. For good pubs, try to avoid the very center of Prague. The best restaurants are usually those, where there are lots of local people.
if you go to Prague for longer than a weekend then its really worth it to take a train journey to Brno,Olomouc, or česky Krumlov, three other beautiful cities in the Czech republic, food, drink and accomadation there are much cheaper then in Prague, the Czech republic has mountains, forests,cycle/walking paths across the whole country, and has many thermal spas, Im Irish and have enjoyed living in the Czech republic for nearly four years, its a really beautiful country with a lot to offer.
it depends what subject you are studying and which university your planning to go. But, from what i know, dublin would be better in terms of the environment ,universities and the living standard. Really, prague just give me the impression of beer, beer, beer and just more beer. I dont think their education is much recognised there.
@bAffLinGbOx Have you tried studying there? Prague (and the Czech Republic in general) have quite tough universities. I've heard that Czech education is one of the toughest in Europe, which as a whole is incomparable to America. And since Prague is the capital, it's universities are considered the best in the country (although Brno beats them in certain areas, I think).
@AnkokuEvangeline It used to be. But we also compete in the insane battle of statistics trying to ensure everyone and his/her pet has university education so it's no longer how it used to be.
It took me 5 minutes to fall for prag I was there for 2 days and it really wasnt enough I wish to come back , dublin is beauty but I dont change prag but it depends of the school and the program too
Been to Prague a few times and love it. We didn't find people rude, just reserved. We had no bad service at all have to say. Agree that the post communism regime has left it's mark on people.
Oh no, now I really realized what I was missing when I went to Prague with my schoolclass last year... =S But you forgot to tell about the faboulus jazz club (I'msorry, I can't remember exactly where it was and more spesific what the name was.. ) And check out the amazing opera :)

ALERT ALERT ALERT BEWARE THIS FUCKING CUNT ENGLISH BASTARD CUNT LIKE TO STEAL AND MAKE TROUBLE CHEAPSKATE DIVER Name: ROBERT MACKENZIE Age: 31 CHEAPSKATE BASTARD CUNT City: ALTON Country: United Kingdom Occupation: ARSEBANDIT Interests and Hobbies: STEALING AND MAKE TROUBLE ARSEBANDIT
a nice city but the people are some of the rudest and most inconsiderate i had ever met. all the waiters and waitresses had a very negative attitude and they always try and force people to tip for shitty service.
Yes I'm Czech and i have to admit this is true, but that is usual not only in CR but in all post communist countries like Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia etc. that is what 50 years of communism do to the nation.
The strange thing is that Czechs are not even conscious that that is not the way to go..:-)Hope the next generations will be better than the communist children
@Kibbles3000 I guess you've never been to the southern part of Italy. The only good service was at the Chinese restaurant. The rest was horrible. North was great, it's just the south.
I really liked your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed i use a site called Tubeviews . Net It has really done wonders for me, Keep in touch
Cheers for all the tips, great video! Wasn't sure what those Black Light Theatres were when I saw the posters... will check one out next time I'm over
Been here and all i can say it is one of the beautiful city i've ever been to, the foods are nice and cheap, amazing buildings, romantic riverview, and the coffees are nice and unique. certainly one of the "must-go" destination.

I liked it all citywise, but I found the ppl very rude, and I found most of the suburbs (outside the city) very run down and full of graffiti.

see the chocolate museum-its really bizarre!
Bar and books is also a ledge pub to step into-not traditional at all-but amazingly classic-james bond playing in black and white, strong cocktails!
dont bother doing the pay-to-enter pub crawls, they only take you to touristy crap.
befriend a czech barman-they will show you the real city!
the park in malastrana outside the parliament is stunning-GO see it.

a nice city but the people are some of the rudest and most inconsiderate i had ever met. all the waiters and waitresses had a very negative attitude and they always try and force people to tip for shitty service.

Been here and all i can say it is one of the beautiful city i've ever been to, the foods are nice and cheap, amazing buildings, romantic riverview, and the coffees are nice and unique. certainly one of the "must-go" destination.
