  • Divine music...

  • Never heard this before, but it sure is a good way to come down from a stressful day!

    :-)

  • i listen to this song when my parents are making love.

  • heavenly!

  • Dificil explicar lo que hace sentir, es como si uno no supiera la escencia de lo que esta hecho, dificil definir el sentimiento que lo forma y a las personas que esta unida.

Los desasosiegos que se sienten al escuchar algo asi son fuertes.

  • Laura, i want you kinky love! I'm mad about you, I need you so bad, I need you kinky love!

  • iIiiIAANnnN Maaasstterrss!!! LonG LIVE sHoEGazE

  • heart warmin...dreamy shoegaze!

  • Takes me back to my college radio DJ days (CJSW 90.9 FM), when this got a lot of airplay.

Along with My Bloody Valentine's 'Soon', it was one of those anthems for the post Cold War/beginning of the Kondratiev Fall era. (Innocent of jihadis and other scary monsters.)

  • Man....songs and bands like these guys does not exist anymore. Well atleast in the mainstream it does not.

    Support indie music.

  • Other songs of this band you can miss, but this one is REALLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • OMGODDESS! Theme song from the honeymoon I never had.

  • Lovely !

  • seen it yesterday! lets chat

    comment me back 2M

  • love this song! one of my favorite!

  • I agree, such a beautiful song, it would make a great summer tune! The song only reached # 72 which was unjust - still, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

  • aahh i love this song.thanks for posting. was very happy to hear it.takes me to good places

  • haaaaaa... definitivamente, hermosa cancion.

  • I'll always love my Kinky

  • I miss pale saints, but i'm glad I got to see them live. just wonderful!!!

  • Just lovely.I seem to remember being given the vinyl by a local BBC radio guy Roger Hill.

    (True gent).

"I know I should be sleeping, but how could I close my eyes?"

Still brings a slight mist to mine.

  • At the time the song & video were enrapturing, if a bit shockingly accessible for Pale Saints. Now it comes across as somewhat mediocre but I think that's largely because the general drift of indie and even popular music in general tended to follow suit. At the time it was quite unique, and still, I think, quite beautiful, whatever else one could say about it.

  • Que hermosa canción, sin duda de las mejores bandas inglesas.

  • I don't agree with you, what a lovely tune !

  • This song is some kind of Meriel Braham era. It's quite mediocre when comparing it to other band's songs like Throwing Back the Apple or Sight of You. When Ian Masters left and she became sole vocalist the band became a joke.

Pale Saints were great. But third album, Masters-less shouldn't have happened

  • The song is a Nancy Sinatra cover from the "Flesh Balloon" EP, and it was released before "In Ribbon". I think the band was going downhill around that time, so I don't think Meriel Barnham was the sole vane of the band. The songs after the "Half Life Remembered" ep weren't as good and they got producer Hugh Jones who just seemed to have suck the soul of their recordings. Ian was fed up with touring and just plain smart enough to leave the band after "In Ribbons".

  • Hey, thanks for pointing that out about it being a Nancy Sinatra cover. I'm not a big fan of this band, but the EP was really good. "Hunted" is awesome.

  • Agreed. Pale Saints without Masters is like Nirvana without Cobain

  • fucking beautiful band !!

  • Just how far can you put your tongue in your cheek?

  • pale saints are unreal, i agree with sfy, best cover ever, Brian Jonestown Massacre forever

  • yeah saints are fine. joel vs bez there both about as useless as a pair a glasses on a man wi one ear. LOL!

  • this is the best cover song ever!

  • orgasmic!!

  • Yes it's a cover. The original is from Nancy Sinatra.

  • Is this a cover?

  • usually covers are worst than original but this one.... fuck

  • Would someone slide honey on my balls, please?

  • Please.

  • It's seems Ian is in this video. Yes or No?

    sorry for my english!!!!

  • Why, of course he is, crouched on the bed, cuddling a couple of mice or something. That video's from June 1991, Ian was still in the band and, supposedly, he was still the leader of the band.

  • Ok, I believed that in this period Ian had already left

  • Ian left after the "In Ribbons" LP (03/1992)

I think he wasn't into it anymore. A huge Eyeless in Gaza fan, Masters was in love with the experimental side of music and didn't actually care much for the "shoegazer" tag.

4AD expected a lot from Pale saints and put a lot of money on the band. Commercially, Pale Saints weren't doing great. I believe Ian felt Pale Saints weren't going to get any bigger and he was being cornered into the write-record-release-promote routine.

  • Ian Masters now lives in Japan. He was involved in a lot of projects after leaving Pale Saints. Let me just tell you about one truly wonderful album called "Mars is a Ten" recorded with Warren Defever (His Name is Alive) and released under the name ESP Continent in 1995. (ESP Summer in the US)

  • What album is this on? or is it on an EP?

  • e.p. "flesh balloon e.p."

  • say hello russia to svetlana for me!

  • Thanks.. From Russia.

  • one of my friend said me this song performed originally by Frank Sinatra.... is it true hehh?

  • Nancy Sinatra... not sure if frank did it too.

  • yeah nancy sinatra. rita calypso too has a version...

  • dreamy shoegaze at its best!

  • "I know i should be sleeping

But how can i close my eyes...?"

    I love this song!

    <3

  • Thank God (Sic) this has been reposted !

  • Ditto... I was soooo sad when it went away, I was curious why that happened.

  • buena banda!! buen sonido, buenos años, mucha adrenalina, subliminal, grandioso

el mejor reprensentante del indie rock,

el reconocimiento a una buena epoca
