2.5 kids is an expression, its the average number of kids middle class families have, in America at least. Most families have either 2 or 3 children. Maybe it more of an American saying. When I have kids I'm definitely getting a Volvo.
i bought one of these 6m ago after testing the Discovery. I've spent £2500 on it - brakes, broken shocks, electrics problem (the hifi doesn't work now), broken alternator, faulty starter motor, the key still doesn't work 100% of the time - both keys have broken their retractable spring, there is a clunking from the rear axle, the petrol tank leaks. OK, 90,000 miles (I had a full Volvo service with timing belt changed) so as you can see - not impressed. Plasticky trim, poorly screwed together.
sean222007: yeah... clearly, if I had to make a choice between a luxury brand and a subaru, I would choose a subaru! It comes with so many perks! For example, a disgusting resale value! And a disgusting front end too!
Did he say 2.5 children? What kind of morbid sadistic family has 2.5 children? They need to rethink things I thinks. Hah, This is susan, john, and pe(ter). We could only aford half of another child, we might try for the other .5 of the child next year.
I just bought a used 2004 Volvo XC90. I didn't even know Volvo made an SUV/Crossover. I saw it on Craigslist, LA. I was crazy about the design/look of it. and when I drove it, just had to have it. I'm averaging 26 Miles per gallon, City/Highway combined. it's the 2.5T five cylinder low pressure turbo motor. I just wish it was a Plug-In Hybrid that allowed me to drive in Pure electric only mode and charge up batteries at home, like Toyota and Aptera is doing with their Plug in Hybrids comming out
I have a new Volvo XC90 2008 Model. I just bought it last Nov. 2007. It's really awesome! I'm really impressed with the performance! I love Volvos for life!
i own this car here in montreal and it is the best for winter driving. this year we had a storm and it snowed 40cm, i drove all of my friends to work.
They ain't joking. Mine is at home in my fields when they are tilled as it is on the highway. Class, performance and guts all rolled into one ...safely of course!

Excellent SUV. Manage to buy one two years ago after two years salivating. Its very expensive in Malaysia, costing nearly 100,000 Euro.
