Wow you look gorgeous now :) And like 20 years younger :) I had GBP myself 6 months ago and am almost down to my wish-weight :) So i know how you feel. You are hot now ;)
Im happy for you i wish i had money to have gastic bypass surgery.Every day i wake up and think to myself is this the last day i will live the last time i will see my family im 395lb and i tryed all the eat healthy parts i exercise for a long time and still i see my self a big guy. If i had one wish just one wish of my life i will wish to have enough money to pay for surgery or to have health insurance to help me pay.Isee my self as a fat guy that has no life to live no more. But im holding on
Hey, fellow Spurs fan! I had my Roux-en-Y surgery in August 2010 and am currently down nearly 80 pounds so far. Best decision I ever made....for my family as well as for myself. Hope you're still doing well! I really enjoy watching your video....it inspires everyone. Take care, and GO SPURS GO!
For those that are thinking of doing this surgery and are scared for the pain...well I did mine last friday (06 may 2011). Ok the pain is there but everyday it is better. The painkillers make the little pain you have comfortable.
I am happy i took this step and hopefully I can make such a video too.
I am up in the middle of the night contemplating surgery. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks with a surgeon. I couldn't sleep. So I watched your video. I feel better. You look great. I hope you're still doing well. Thanks for posting this.
i have easy to follow cards to follow to lose or maintain your weight please email me mycrystalball@gmail.com all the food groups based on your weight email me for cdetails
You look great and congratulations! I had gastric bypass and just a word of warning I too drink beer and the weight is coming back on slowly. Be careful.
@heysean. I love your video. I must watched it 10 times. I'm 6'5 430 & should have the gastric sleeve in 2-3 months. Did you have any issues w/ excess skin? Thanks a lot
Thanks Sean. I have an appointment with my Dr next week to talk about it. Im still freaking out, but you responding to me really helped......Thanks again.....Ed
I had gastric-bypass on Oct. 25th of 2010 and I never felt any pain or discomfort. It has truely been a miracle. The start of a new life, especially with my support group. One has to be in this with total heart and soul, for it is truely life changing for the better. A new life if you will. Thanks Dr. Pilcher.
Hi Sean. Im thinking about having the surgery, but im freaking out about it. Was it worth it? How was the recovery? I dont know what 2 do. I just cant be this heavy anymore.....Your thoughts???? Partymann@gmail.com
You are an inspiration buddy, I'm at 375 lbs and 6' tall and am miserable, I've started the paper work referals with my regular Dr. and all that stuff so in a couple months I should begin my journey. I've only been this big for about 10 years so I'm hoping I will do well. How did you tighten your skin? Just exercise or? Take care and great job!
heysean. just had mine done on Sept. 15th 2010. It's been two months and i'm down 60 lbs already. Just wanted to tell you what an inspiration this video was. I keep coming back to it to tell myself it can be done!! Well before surgery i lost 120 lbs diet and excercise only in 5 1/2 months my heaviest was 520lbs. I'm down to 342 as of this posting. Thanks again for posting this video!
much safer and easier to just eat healthy, you dont even need to workout that much and you will still lose alot of weight. do the work and you get results. works the same in all things in life no need to do this
Hey, Man! Great Transformation... I'm going to have done soon.. Six month wait after approval was hard, Now Its coming to an end. November is coming soon.. Kind of anxious.
Battled with weight entire life. No surgery. 70 per cent diet, 20 per cent fitness, 10 per cent genetics. Noticed you smoke and drink (empty calories). Do you exercise? That will be the key and slowing down on liquor consumption. Not judging, I have seen the same with friends. Got the band, lost weight, didn't change lifestyle habits, gained it all back and then some. Surgery starts the change, but dedication and focus to living healthy is key.
well done for having the balls to do it ,ive been yo yoing from 170 kilos to 100 for 20 years im now 125 kilos and i totaly think that an operation is not an easy way out because you still have to do a lot of hard work its the same as losing weight the natural way only there is no going back which would have helped me . looking good mate well done from the uk.
I haven't had the surgery yet but people talk so much bullshit about how this is the easy way out..FYI if you haven't been more than 100 pounds over weight you should really just shut the fuck up because you really can't talk about something you have never struggled with..20-50 pounds really isn't anything. I've lost 80 pounds all by myself and the weight doesn't go down I do everything I possibley can to eat healthy I never have any soda and I stay away from junk! so STFU..
@goldenwench I AGREE!!! This is the easy way out!!! I did it the hard way too. In the pics you can tell that his bad habits have not changed and as soon as his stomach streches out he will gain all of his weight back.
@Smosh234 Just for the record, I hit the gym 5 days a week to keep the weight off, including running and weight training. Statistically, I'm past the watermark for most that gain the weight back, as that usually occurs within 4 years out of surgery. Food is not a pleasure nowadays as much as it is fuel to me now... Congratulations on your weight loss, whatever method you did to achieve it...
How long did it take you to loose the weight? I just had surgery aug 12th, 2010 , i;ve lost about 35lbs so far. I see your spurs hat, im from san antonio, and had my surgery at methodist transplant hospital w/ dr. reiss new diamentons.
@gina78213 Dr. Pilcher preformed mine... ;) I lived in South Florida and came back to have it done... There was no comparison to be made with the Dr.s I researched in Florida....
yeah its awesome your now thin but how can people say ''oh well done'', '' you have done great'' when you didnt do the hard work yourself you has your stomach shrunk so you couldnt feel the hunger pains.. iv lost 120lbs just through diet and exercise no surgery!!! i can be told ''you did great'' you cant.. i know i sound like a bitch it just pisses me off when people cheat and have surgery and get praise, people that do it on there own through pure determination deserve the praise!!
I don't think you understand the full responsibility of the procedure. Most people tend to put the weight back on if they don't use this tool properly. The surgery is a tool, and not a singular solution. Just for the record, I hit the gym 5 days a week to keep the weight off, including running and weight training. This procedure would be for naught, if things didn't change in my life. I'm sure if you posted your success on this medium, you would get the attention you so desire..
I've lost over 100 pounds recently by exercise and diet and I never had any hunger pains. It isn't hard dieting at all. Why do some people find it so hard to diet?

How can you drink beer? but congrats on the weight loss I am 3 years out had my on april 18th 2007 was 350 day of sugery i am 174 now having my 1st plastic sugery in sept 28th to remove my skin getting two done 1st is stomach and breast 2nd is legs and arms did you have plastics?
I just wanted to say your an inspiration!!! I just had the surgery here in Canada on june1. Thank you... I see booze in my future!! Lol.... Seriously great job!! You look great!!!
heysean...great job. I guess it has been a couple years now for you... Have you kept the weight off? I am going in for surgey in 2 weeks... so exciting
Im happy for you i wish i had money to have gastic bypass surgery.Every day i wake up and think to myself is this the last day i will live the last time i will see my family im 395lb and i tryed all the eat healthy parts i exercise for a long time and still i see my self a big guy. That is pretty awesome Seab, I had the bypass just under 4 months ago and I have lost 80 pounds. Nice to know I will be able to drink beer at some point again - but small sacrifice to take now. Had a couple glasses of red wine last night and was blitzed beyond belief...cheap drunk now!! Congrats on your success
hos much is this gastric bypass surgery i use to weight 260 when i was 13 which was back in 2005 thrn i looked at my self in the mirror one daya dn knew i had to lose weight for myself so i did worked my ass off from 05 to 07 and weighed 190 but then i went back to 236 which is where i am now :( i cant help it...
Hey Sean, I am now 3 week post op with 32 pounds gone! And I just noticed that my first couple attempts at posting in fact did make onto this comment portion. Didn't mean to have 3 of the same one show up. Thought two had failed to post...I guess not. Also, a beer doesn't bother you? They warned us to NOT have anything carbonated ever- we'd explode or something. A beer will taste good in a few months I 'spect. Thanks again, great vid, great Creed song.
I am getting my surgery in Aug. I am a 27 yr old female with 2 kids and I want to be healthy for them. And DSHS is actually gonna pay for it for me YEPPY. Congrats on the weight loss
Congrats on the loss bro! I myself am trying to begin the process to get the surgery, but everyone I have called, or emailed wont reply to me. I am in the Memphis,TN area. If anyone can help me find out what to do, or where I can find out any information that can be helpful, I would appreciate it. Feel free to comment on my page. The catch is, for the past few years ive been self employed and dont have insurance, and as of January, Ive been out of work. ( im in construction) Thanks in advance
Baptist East has a program ...it's still at least a 6 month process to have the surgery and they'll put you on a couple of diets and make you see a specialist... unfortunately, I doubt any doctor will do this surgery without insurance... unless it's totally life or death. You can still go to the info session, I think they run it a couple of times a month at Baptist East....
My wife had her RNY done in Mexico and was great and she is doing well. Mexico is 1/4 the cost of the US docs and hospitals. It cured her diabetes and high blood pressure too.
This isn't meant to be nasty, but it appears to me that everyone who gets this surgery ends up looking 20 years older and like a wrinkly saggy deflated balloon. If I were very large I would just deit and exercise and try not to lose more than 2-3 pounds/week..that way my body elasticity can keep up with the weight loss.
Seems to be alot of drinking after the op,drinking piles the pounds on easy. Before anyone says anything I cannot drink due to a medical condition, the last time I drank was in 2003.
So I am in the process and will set date tomorrow for surg. Being honest I like to have my drinks.I see Coors lt alot how has that effected U? I cant go for a life time with out a drink. Can for 7-8 months.
I had my bypass surgery on Monday the 21st of this month so it will be a week in 2 hours...already i have lost 25 lbs its crazy. So amazing. i cant wait to keep losing! you feel so much better. life changing.
I had my bypass 3 days ago.. I know how nervous i was in the weeks pre op.. maybe these few words can halp anyone having second thoughts on whether to go ahead ... I had a little pain relief for 6 hours after op and i have not needed any since, i have not been sick at any time since op and so far no complications, i,m getting yogurt and pureed food down no problem ... don,t be scared look at the amazing results this guy has atchieved and go for it ... good luck ..
hahaha i feel you i was so nervous dha day before of my surqery i couldn sleep dha whole niqht i had my surqery on oct 1st 09.... i hope u r doinq qreat nd qood luck
@priinceziita91 Hi and thanks for your kind comments... I,m now 33 days post op and 33 lbs lighter... so far the whole process has been easier than i imagined.... the weight loss post op as you will know depends on two main factors 1. how heavy you were in the first case and 2. how much weight you lost pre op ( in my case 30 lbs).. this guy has done fantastic and should be an inpiration to us all.... my advice to anyone reading this thinking about the op is DO IT ...
In the United Kingdom all medical treatment is free but to have weight loss surgery you have to meet certain criteria ie. high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholestrol etc ... or at least one of those... As i said the surgery is free but you have to show a commitment to lose weight pre op for some 15 months in my case that weight loss was 20 kilos ( about 44lbs ) .. pre op and i,m now on day 49 post op and another 49 lbs have gone...
dang im 17 and weight 250 lbs again:( i had weighed 190 bakk in 2007 and gain the weight bakk i cant control my self i need to talk to me doctor bout this
i was told never again beer soda or alchol anyways .. he looks great but huh COORS always in his hands.. im having it reall soon and omg i cant weight lol get it
Good advice but I am 7 months out and lite beer is nothing. My doc told me to take Prilosec for the first three months, No alcohol, . I waited for 5 months before a sip, See your doc for YOU and not U-TUBE, be safe and waite a year is always best they say.
my mom had the surgry and she did great at first and now she is gaining it all back and is going to be having it again. i am very concerned for her and dont really want her having it again, cause i didnt want her having it the 1st time either.
hi. great pics. gee, wasnt hard to tell youre from texas. giggles. good job losing the weight. i hope to follow in your footsteps. thanks for making this video. waves~~~ from dallas
Listen to your doctor, I know somebody that gained all the weight back! Quit smoking , I did, was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it is possible-
WOW...You look amazing. I had the surgery (roux-n-y) in 2001 and have pretty much kept the weight off, even after having my son 5 yrs ago. For those who have never REALLY battled weight, they can't appreciate what this does for us. I just have one question...how tall are you? Congrats on your success!!!!!
i justa had mu bypass surgery this last saturday , and aleady feel great. i am 215 pounds before surgey and type 2 diabetis. i am on liquids diet now. but you now what people it is not that hard, and the recoupe time is awsome i was walking 4 hours after surgery.
if anybody have questions i can tell you some of my advise tips also
the hard part is finding the money for the surgey!!
how did you raise the money for the surgery? I just don't have the funds for this. I just don't understand why insurance doesn't cover it. Seems it would be less expensive in the long run
Oh my god - u actually look amazingg!! im seriously thinkin about going for the op, but having a look at the advantages & disadvantages - but u look well, all the best - x

Phillip9816 1 year ago
Congrats on the loss bro! I myself am trying to begin the process to get the surgery, but everyone I have called, or emailed wont reply to me. I am in the Memphis,TN area. If anyone can help me find out what to do, or where I can find out any information that can be helpful, I would appreciate it. Feel free to comment on my page. The catch is, for the past few years ive been self employed and dont have insurance, and as of January, Ive been out of work. ( im in construction) Thanks in advance
HollywoodB1983 1 year ago

I had my bypass 3 days ago.. I know how nervous i was in the weeks pre op.. maybe these few words can halp anyone having second thoughts on whether to go ahead ... I had a little pain relief for 6 hours after op and i have not needed any since, i have not been sick at any time since op and so far no complications, i,m getting yogurt and pureed food down no problem ... don,t be scared look at the amazing results this guy has atchieved and go for it ... good luck ..

priinceziita91 2 years ago
@priinceziita91 Hi and thanks for your kind comments... I,m now 33 days post op and 33 lbs lighter... so far the whole process has been easier than i imagined.... the weight loss post op as you will know depends on two main factors 1. how heavy you were in the first case and 2. how much weight you lost pre op ( in my case 30 lbs).. this guy has done fantastic and should be an inpiration to us all.... my advice to anyone reading this thinking about the op is DO IT ...
somethingotmestarted 2 years ago
how much does it cost ?
eliasisnemesis 2 years ago
In the United Kingdom all medical treatment is free but to have weight loss surgery you have to meet certain criteria ie. high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholestrol etc ... or at least one of those... As i said the surgery is free but you have to show a commitment to lose weight pre op for some 15 months in my case that weight loss was 20 kilos ( about 44lbs ) .. pre op and i,m now on day 49 post op and another 49 lbs have gone...
somethingotmestarted 2 years ago

how did you raise the money for the surgery? I just don't have the funds for this. I just don't understand why insurance doesn't cover it. Seems it would be less expensive in the long run
