  • Thank you for the video!

Such an unusual style - J.B. seems to look like B.J. Jeffrey Buttle = Brian Joubert? :)))))))))

  • @marienike I agree that this is a bit similar in style to one of Joubert's exhibition programs. But Buttle likes to try different styles, and this is only one program. No reason to liken him to Joubert, even if only jokingly :). One huge difference between them is that Joubert doesn't seem to be able to live without competition, whereas Buttle is a real show skater, as he himself said in the interview after his second performance.

  • @boguswoman81 Oh yes, it was just a joke. I think it's good when a skater is recognized by his style in someone else's program. I believe both of the guys to be successful in the way chosen in figure skating.

It's a treat to read your great English.

  • @marienike I agree that both Joubert and Buttle have been successful in their chosen paths. Still, the one chosen by Joubert can also bring many disappointments - as it has already happened in the recent seasons. It's difficult to stay on top for so long, when younger generations keep coming in. Show skating, on the other hand, seems to bring a lot of joy to skaters who love skating itself above competitions.

  • @marienike Thank you for your English remark :). But isn't it quite usual nowadays that people whose native language is not English are rather good at it? Yours is good as well. Besides, I know that mine isn't always that perfect - I make mistakes quite often (wrong words, wrong order of words in a sentence, and so on) .

  • @marienike What I forgot to write is - In a recent interview Stephane Lambiel told that he most likely left on time, because otherwise he would go through so much to achieve what he wanted, that in the end he would probably be turned off by it all, and then he wouldn't be able to enjoy skating that much anymore. I really hope that this won't happen to Brian - that he won't be too broken and disappointed by the end of his competitive career, and will still be able to simply enjoy skating.
