  • lovely work, but might not hurt to give credit to all the artists.

  • You cant put on a voice this .. it is genuine and sounds like nothing else. Great video captures the spirit and magic of the song. unearthy and mystical full of dreams and myth and power and passion.

  • Samhain's blessings, gerundive. :) Blessed Be. )0(

  • @celticbattleaxe

Féile Moingfhinne! May the spirits be comforting with their presence, here at the time of summer's ending~

  • Majestic beauty. Now I see where anyone can get inspiration just as like the olden times - contact the Dryads. :) Blessed Be.

  • the image of a dragon is part of an old story that it tells of a fair maiden to be wed who was so beautyfull the faeries were nvious and one day caught her in on of there magics and turned her into a dragon she then killed everyone she loved agians her will all except one, her true love. who thought the dragon had ate his beloved and he killed her yet the irony is that she was in a illusion of magiic by the faeries and she remains in it having to relive the nightmare over and over for all time

  • Saw a copy of this video, HAD to know what the first image was from, and they sent me here telling me you were the originator and might know. (woman standing over a man with two pillars)

    Please tell!

  • @amozoness6 Since it has been such a long time, most of the images I used I've lost track of their origins--however that one, with its idealized neo-classical imagery is easy to remember-- it is 'Daybreak' , by Maxfield Parrish.

  • Beautiful

  • Very well done. The artwork ceratinly reflected the tone and mood of the music. Great Job.

  • Thank you so very much. I have a good deal of fun making some of these.

  • I haven't really delved into classical music all that much. I remember years ago, I had the Sound track from the movie,"A Clockwork Orange" which was Classical. I was working the 3-11 shift and would get home, shower, grab a beer and put that thing on and kick back with only the fiber & lava lamps lit. Pretty relaxing as was that video. Really enjoyed it.

  • I started playing blues guitar in 1959, seen many of the greatest R & B, Rock 'n Roll, Blues, Reggae, and Rockabilly bands in history, but hated classical music until every radio station I liked started playing Rap, about 1989, at which time I became a fanatic for 18th Century Chamber music. Now the music of Luigi Boccherini and Georg Philipp Telemann is MY "Rock 'n Roll" Buy every string quartet or quintet you can find by Luigi Boccherini, and you can't go wrong!

  • I started playing Folk, probably in the early 60's ( I'm only a few years younger than you), then kind retroed back into Doo Wop with a couple bands. Tinkered with R&B, and a little blues, and a lot of C&W along the way. My taste in music is pretty broad, as I like Enya and one or two things by Pink. Love Irish Music. MY play list has people scratching their heads for sure. NO rap or Hip Hop for me, that's not music in my opinion.

  • Your music history sounds much like mine--and you DO realize that the music in THIS video is the Chieftains? I like Enya alright, and am a bit crazy for Loreena McKennitt (but I only share a birthday with Pink!) The band I formed in 1961 or 62 played mostly stuff by Slim Harpo, Jimmie Reed, John Lee Hooker, and a bit of R & B

  • I knew it was the Chieftains. I was checking out some stuff by them a while back on YouTube. How I got there is beyond me as I started out looking for stuff by the Irish Tenors and ended up checking out a lot of Irish music. John Lee Hooker is a familiar name, and I think Jimmie Reed, as for the others, I don't know.

  • Don't remember Slim Harpo? "Baby, Scratch My Back", "Shake Your Hips", "Rainin' In My Heart", "Got Love If You Want It", "I'm a King Bee"? Hell I like HIS version of "Shake Your Hips" (or "Hip Shake") even better than the Rolling Stones'!

  • I don't recall nay of those. Even a Stones Version of Shake Your Hips. I only have one Album by the Stones ( High Tide and Green Grass). it is a compendum of theiir early hits. I might know them if I heard them though.

  • I believe all the music in Clockwork Orange was either that of Gioachino Rossini or Ludwig van Beethoven. While obvious works of genius, Beethoven's works are just too heavy for everyday listening, though Rossini's music is much more light-hearted. Boccherini's joyous music, on the other hand, mingled with a little Jean-Marie LeClair, Georg Philipp Telemann, Antonio Vivaldi, and a handful of others, I can and do listen to around the clock, and it never gets old!

  • I'm thinking there was third Composer in ther as well, but it been a long time, so don't really know. I have one song bookmarked in youtube. It was done by the Female singer the group The Seekers ( remember Georgie Girl?) Anyway it is Plasir D'amour. I could listen to that thing for hours. Charlotte Church has done it as well.

  • Most of the music out of Europe around the time "Plasir D'amour" was written (1780), was pretty intense stuff--a time they refer to as Sturm und Drang [Storm and Stress] (approximately 1767-1786) Music, literature, and mostly politics reflected that intensity. A love song like "Plasir D'amour" seems almost out of place for that time period. I don't think I ever heard Judith Durham's (Seekers) version--In fact, the only version I recall off-hand was Joan Baez' rendition.

  • I couldn't remember Judith's last name. Do you realize that we are, for all intents and purposes, IMing on YouTube? Joan Baez did do that and it is on YouTube as well. I think I first heard it in the 5th or 6th grade and liked it then. That would have been around '56 or '57. Don't know who did it though. I didn't remember what the last part of Sturm und Drang was. My German is a bit rusty as I haven't used it in quite a while. My Spanish isn't much better either.

  • My whole point about "Sturm und Drang", or "Storm and Stress" was that while "Plasir D'amour" was being written in the French court, they had no idea they were sitting atop a political supervolcano.

  • I assumed as much. I was thinking back to that time with what little history I remember of that period. It definitely was political volcano alright and to have a song of that nature come out of that period is remarkable.

  • O, My God. It's beautiful!

  • Siuil a run... beautiful.

  • *ENCHANTINGLY MAGICKAL!*

    5 STARS!

  • Thank you. The music is from the album "Tears Of Stone", in which Ireland's Chieftains teamed up with various female vocalists. This one is Norwegian soprano, Sissel singing "Stuil A Run"--beautiful tune.

  • Where can I find the picture shown at 1:23 ?

  • The one of a red-headed guy with a sword? It is done by incredible fantasy writer named Janny Wurts, and I just now found out that she doesn't want people using it! Now what can I do? My bad! I DO highly reccomend the 8 books of her "Wars of Light and Shadow" series...as well as a skilled artist, she's one of the best fantasy writers ever!
