  • thanks man, will do! :)

  • they slowed the video down as much as possible so we could see what was going on... :/

  • wonderful guide :) but still have some issues with the sped up wiring part :( wiring is like the hardest part of the comp for me lol :p

    nice vid! probs

  • @MrWatchyour6 Hey dude:) the wiring is allot easier than you think, trust me i used to think it was the hardest part but its simple, just a few panel connectors and power connectors and that's pretty much it, oh and some data cables, but it really isn't hard, just look through your motherboard manual and it will tell you where and how to put all the wires:) hope this helped a little:)

  • Very helpful, thanks very much! :)

  • I don't think i will do a test boot outside of my computer case, I'm way to scared of messing something up or getting electrocuted plus I'm a noob and this will be my first build. If something doesn't work in my computer after i install it i'll just have to take the time to take it back out of my case,Paul is such a pro !

  • Its funny when my pc is much better than this ones :D

  • @SkateAlek Its funny when you still have your virginity :D

  • hhahaha "oh yeah, theres another pc to build".

  • Thank's !

  • hey paul thanks! i built my computer! and it was successful! thanks a lot! saved me a lot of money! i get bsod sometimes and my friend said it had to do with mobo but it only happens rarely when i play games on it :[ but i dont feel like waiting 30 days to wait for rma and not having a computer :[ . but thanks! :D

  • i bought all my stuff all the parts to build a pc but its all being shipped in 3 different shipments :( got everything but my HDrive

  • @petadang lol thats funny

  • Ship to fucking Australia!

  • ship to new zealand

  • How much was all of that

  • Newegg should start selling T-Shirts; I HEART PAUL especially! :-D

  • Paul's so boss, I'll bet that they didn't even have to speed it up when he was building the second build, that's just how fast he builds computers.

  • The funny part is when both of these PC's are better than mine :/

  • @0oDarkLordRevano0 you get what you pay for...

  • Thank you so very much Newegg. I'm 13 and building my first computer, your tutorials are wonderful and very informative.

  • @CantXTouchXTobi Same here man well, 14 but i loved the video

  • he said 3 to 4 hours last year i was 13 and i built my first computer and it took me 1 hour and 30 minutes

  • what would happen if you install the ram in the wrong slot?

  • @Pandacamper Probably bad things =(

  • I <3 LOVE JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i built the exact B builds and i love it thanks

  • Where do you get the serial ata rev 3 cable? Please respond!!

  • Will this work PC run Skyrim please respond?

  • @PapaSmurf4785

Build A can run it on high. Should cost about $1300

  • @PapaSmurf4785 which one? either way they should. I have the exact same video card and i can run it on ultra.

  • @PapaSmurf4785 Both of these will easily get Ultra on Skyrim

  • Can normal video card fit to medium case?

  • What If I got thermal cream on the top of my actual CPU?

  • Those tutorial are gold.

  • ;) what the fuck did i just watch?

  • anyone know a cheap, computer barebones kit? I want to start building PCs. gotta start somewhere but i don't want to buy a $900 computer and break it >_>

  • @SgtSeev LOL my first build cost over $2,000

  • @SgtSeev Look at some of the DIY's on Newegg, many are pretty cheap and the specs seem pretty good.

  • If you are looking to save money but still want decent graphics you can also get an APU (CPU + GPU in one chip). This is a great option for someone who wants a little more than a standard integrated graphics card. If you are a heavy gamer who wants the best then you want a discrete (dedicated) graphics card instead. An APU will be able to play most games at normal settings (not super high qualities or FPSs). APU's also use the video card on a majority of applications.

  • What is the case called!?

  • @Cqub3 It's a Corsair 650D.

  • If your motherboard has a inter-grated video card, can you just install a dedicated video card or do you need a motherboard without inter-grated video to use a dedicated video card? thankyou

  • @aacool123 most motherboards today comes with an integrated graphics card but they doesn't perform very well, installing a dedicated video card increases performance and can give you more advanced video options.

  • I would not recommend applying the thermal paste in the method shown in this video.

  • Read here to get a better understanding of applying thermal paste --> x.co\hATb

  • which monitor is that ??

  • i watch this video 3 times

  • 11:17 Sluts

  • Hey would you need to buy all of the wires for the computer if it were your first?

  • @XxSerpent109 No. The motherboard and the PSU should come with all the cables you need. Might have to buy some if you have more parts than an ordinary build, like 5 HDDs or something.

  • my thermaltake 875w toughpower 80 plus gold has a 16 pin suplimental cpu power conector so you can have anywhere from 4-8-12-16 it has a solid 8 pin one and a breakaway 8 pin been 2 4 pin ones :) cheers

  • I LOVE YOU PAUL YOU JUST GUIDED ME THROUGH MY FIRST BUILD

  • 15:20 can you just unplug everything after it's on?

  • When ever I do the test boot noting happens at all. The fans don't move on anything, even the power supply. Can someone tell me what is wrong?

  • Got my PC parts yesterday from newegg.

i5k, GByte P67X UD3 B3 Board, Loki Heatsink, GSkill memory.

Going to use this awesome vid as my guide.

  • Im thinking... Does it matter if you match the risers? I mean, the input/output shield will tell where the board should be placed, and the risers will be there? derp

  • Nothing shows up on my monitor. What do I do?

  • About how much does it cost to build the one with the fan that comes with the CPU?

  • @46479whatup 700 i have that bulid and it cost 700 without os

  • how long does it usally take to build one?

  • @swagsurferguy frist time bulider 2-4 hours

  • Im currently building my first PC and had a quick question that hopefully someone can answer. When installing my cpu, 1155 socket, even with everything lined up I hear a crunching sound when i start to lower the bracket. This normal?

  • @ProjektKROW yes

  • @Ramdompcgamer srry yes and no make sure you have it in the right way

  • @ProjektKROW yes it will sometimes take some pressure.just be sure it is aligned properly and your good

  • Can an AMD FX 8150 be used on a gigabyte motherboard?

  • I always thought you put a lesser amount of thermal paste on, is it me or that is a ton?

  • You make this look so easy. -.-

  • 15:30 for heat sink application

  • Damn I love building computers now. I built my first two computer this month and loved it. I have known how its done for a long time (more then just a few years) but never had the money to do it. Now I think im getting addicted though. I want to just keep upgrading my PC and building more. lol Best feeling ever after you get it working and start maxing out games afterwards.

  • This my first computer build research I'm Reilly in to this but still a little confused. Like the way this is going thou

  • turning on a PC after you put it together is so satisfying :)

  • I just realised that he's using the same mobo, cpu and RAM I'm using, as well as the case :D

  • @Goat777Face that ram rocks dont it? got the same. was running 4 for 16gb ram but had to split it for another build :'(

  • I want to run my computer 24/7? Is that possible?

  • @XCanonfireX You can keep your comp running if you want, but don't you need sleep? If not please tell me your secret sir.

  • Thank

  • 41:20 Fail ! =)

  • @MaiTayFoX Troll

  • @MaiTayFoX it was a joke XD

  • I have a question. Let's say the motherboard has it's own sound card but you want to install a better sound card using the PCIE slot, would you still need to install that connector that came with the case I believe to get the sound?

  • Newegg should also ship to Europe! thumbs up if you think so too!

  • @DJVenuspect Buy a postal forwarding box :P

  • my stuff comes tommorow so i wrote a full page of notes

if i did not see this video i would still be stuck with 30 fps with 24 player max bf3

so thank you newegg and paul for showing me how easy it is to build a pc and start my future career of working on computers

  • i'm in a really quiet room building and when i pulled the top thing over the cpu, it kinda made a crunch noise, i'm really scared now, is that normal?

  • @freakincrazyperson Yeah,Intel sockets are supposed to be like that.

    Scary,I know...

  • the fuck did not show me the wiring

  • you forgot the middle motherboard screw!

  • If I built an entire computer from scratch and wanted to put Windows 7 onto it, how would I do that?

  • @MonkeyBoy3000ii watch part 3

  • @MonkeyBoy3000ii get windows 7 from best buy or some other store, put it in your disk drive and run it i think

  • Could someone please let me know what song is playing at 38 minutes? Awesome video by the way!

  • @caboosebvr1001 Thank you very much sir!

  • anybody know how to turn off the system after the whole testing it out by turning it on with the screw driver? do i just turn off the PSU?

  • @jpsrpv18 yes just turn off the switch on the back of the psu and then wait a minute until all the power is used up

  • @jpsrpv18 You turn it off the same way you turned it on, with the screwdriver or whatever you used.

  • I need a cable management video!!!

  • Awesome tutorial, cheers ;)

  • You only show putting one together :( I want to build the other one

  • If you're gonna build two computers, just build one.

If you're gonna build two computers, just build one.

  • On the HAF 912, the HD Audio cable in the front has also a AC'97 connected. What is it, do i need it

  • @MrDouglaswu no just use the HD Audio, if that doesn't work use the AC'97

  • @PlayerOfTheMinecraft Thx, but it the AC'97 like a older version of the HD Audio

  • Great video! I just built my first computer thanks to your tutorials. Took me just under three hours to build. I received all my parts from Newegg today, 3 day delivery.

    FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz 8Core. GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Mobo. G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 2 x 4GB.

    Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 120GB SATA III SSD. Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM. EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5. CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 800W ATX12V v2.3

  • he forgot motherboard in the first one

  • hello all, i'm 14 and looking at building a computer with my dad. my main question is, would a 585 watt power supply be good enough for a gygabyte GA-880GM motherboard+attachments. plz respond.

  • @LightfeatherxX need to know the attachments.. what cpu you're gonna use, what and how many video cards.. etc.

  • @LightfeatherxX What CPU,GPU,RAM, and HDD?

Also considering all the 585W power supplys are hec brand (which isn't too great) I would choose a different power supply. If you just tell me what your budget is then I bet I could come up with something for you also...

  • @dev21012 as of right now i have a compiled list of all my parts. i'm thinking of not going too far above 700 and right now i'm at $674.90, but a good power supply to make it last is a good reason to go abit over.

  • @LightfeatherxX I'd go for something with a high wattage because a higher wattage means that in the future when better hardware comes out, when you and your dad want to upgrade, you guys will have the power head room to put in components which require a bit more juice.

  • @TheMrTantalum ya, i decided to go with a 650 watt PSU so that i have a little room between operating watts and free watts. thanks for the advice, much appreciated! :D

  • any1 know a good website to buy parts at? im from sweden so would be good if it's close to reduce shipping fee thanks :)

  • @EliasOnePower Webhallen, Komplett, Inet

  • @EliasOnePower this is how i built mine go to google shopping type in the part then you can choose for free shipping no tax but check newegg as they have rebates alot of the time amazon is also good

  • @EliasOnePower komplett

  • could anybody tell me if a nvidia geforce gts 450 would work on this motherboard ASUS P8H61-M Intel H61

  • Am receiving my last 2 parts on monday!! cant wait to build it =)

  • there's a 's' and an arrow on mine speaker. does it highlight the positive or the negative?

  • is any gigabyte video card compatible with a gigabyte motherboard?

  • @ps3gamer107 No, it depends on what slot the motherboard/video card is using. Like pci/pci express/pci express 2.0.

  • Holy crap how do i turn it off after i jump it? Please help. I wanna turn it off cuz i plugged my monitor wrong and there's no display

  • @boombangboosh when in doubt, unplug it lol...

  • @boombangboosh hold you power button down intill turns off.

  • Will touching the case discharge static electricity if the power supply is not installed and plugged into a grounded wall outlet?

  • Is it enough with the preapplied thermal paste on my Intel core i5 2500k? Or shall I get thermal paste on tube and apply ?

  • @Hoxxz the stock cooler has enough thermal paste i am running i5 2500k now with that and its fine

  • @KillerCODclips i dont think it will, but you can find thermal paste on ebay for like $8.00

  • fuck hp

  • how much did this all add up too

  • Oh no he forget to plug in the SPEAKER! it will not work now!

  • JUST TURNED MY COMP ON FOR THE FIRST TIME XD Thanks man!

  • How do you turn the computer back off?

  • What kind of cooler master case does he use?

  • Comment removed

  • @Battlecenturion2 That's a Cooler Master HAF 912.

  • Can someone help me out? I ordered a amd phenom II X4 975 black edition and I forgot to buy thermal paste! will I have to order some or does the fan it comes with already have some applied? many thanks to anyone who can help me out!

  • @KillerCODclips it should come pre applied on the cpu fan

  • Thermal paste must be applied using the dot technique.

  • I envy your job (:

  • Yes

  • @Battleceterion yes any video card is compatible with any mobo(motherboard)

  • @GeneralSnap thx

  • Are AMD radeon graphics cards compatible with Intel motherboards?

  • Link doesn't work

  • I'm guessing that the case comes with all of the screws no?

  • Even though I'm sure he has taken all the components out of the boxes... I cringe every time he tosses a box or bangs two together >.<

  • Thank you very much for posting this video.

It really helped building my computer!

  • Just bought my 1800 dollars worth of parts that should be arriving Tuesday, this series is going be the biggest help for me, thank you Newegg for making these instructional videos.

  • Will the Hyper 212 fit in a mid tower case?

  • THANK YOU for this video guys! Best one I've seen. But I've got a question...for people like me who are first time builders, and are not computer "geeks"(I wish I was), why run a ssd and a hard drive? I understand ssd holds less information, and is much faster. But how would one run a combination? What kind of info should I keep on my hard drive, and what info on the ssd? How would everyone use the combo? Thanks everyone, and sorry for the "dumb" question.

  • @drummingfish80 watch the next video they have in the series, they will explain why you want to run a SSD and HD in tandem.

  • @drummingfish80 From what I understand, the SSD holds any installed information you want to access quickly (eg. Windows, Office, and any games you want to load quickly)

That way the information those programs need to load is accessed quicker and they load much faster. Any other stuff like files, documents, movies, pictures, etc. go on the hard drive since you don't load them as often as a program.

  • @TheLethalHobo Thanks. That's what I gathered after I watched the third video again.

  • @drummingfish80 Seeing as how SSDs are rather expensive nowadays (My Intel 128gb cost me almost $200) you would use it for things like your Operating System, so Windows etc. on it, along with everything else that you would use frequently (Microsoft Office, favourite games etc.).

You would not use it so much for storage. There's no point, SSD memory is expensive and valuable, so put your films, music etc. on your hard-drive if you only access it once in a while.

  • @prahoksauce I'm ordering an SSD next week. Along with everything else for my next build. Getting a Crucial M4 128GB. Excited to try it.

  • i wanna build one...

but im scared im gonna break something or shock my ass >.<

  • Yea i just built mine a few weeks ago but the only thing i didn't upgrade was the hard drive, does the hard drive play a big role in games? Its like 6 years old

  • @avalanch08 yes its does Older hardrivers have slower rpm withc mean longet load time newer hardrive have higer rmp so faster load times

  • Good memories. This is the video i used for building the pc im using right now. A really good video, only part that i needed more info was in the cable section but after a couple of minutes of reading online i figured it out. Awesome video!

  • this is by far the best one that helped me :DD gonna build mine soon once i get parts shipped in!! :D its my first time too. lol

  • u missed a screw on the motherboard lol

  • Checking, everything is working as expected. My 4th core unlock was highly unstable at the clocks that come with the CPU which explains why it's disabled.

Athlon II X3 460 OC'd to 3.825Ghz is perfectly fine for me.

Also, if you're going to do any overclo
