2:32 ish.. "try to stay in tune and stay on time.." lars im sorry but you've never kept any kind of "time" live ever.. i play the drums and lars was my reason for starting to play.. so needless to say i am a 100% metallica fan.. but the more i know the less i like lars as a drummer.. just very sloppy and very lazy and his ego shows through way too much... i wish he would play the damn song instead of overplaying and trying to do too much.. he's very very lucky to have known james in 1980
"or maybe we're not playing a thousand miles an hour". Advice Coming from the late great cliff burton to everyone who thinks metal is all about playing fast all the time. It gets boring after a while.
This was...WAS...They're just like us? Yeah, before they got rich, had fame for a long period of time, and forgot who put them where they are today...Their Fans...That was then...now??? Removed.
what about 3:03 when Cliff says: "not tryin' to be some big and fancy... it's just us, doing what we do... let's keep it that way..." Well, they did keep it that way after Cliff's death imo, AJFA was a great album but was the end titles as well...
@wwerulestna and he also made a statement before he died saying were true to ourselves and were gonna keep it that way. but it ain't cliff's fault that they died, they chose to write shitty material after the 80's.
now I finally realize that when cliff burton was in the band, metallica weren't complete dicks. they were just musicians doing there thing. just like any other band. I'm going to convince myself of that cause let's face it, they have some pretty kickass tunes.
Now if only the poser Metallica "fans" that wanna hear the same shred out your ass at the speed of light fast thrash over and over could hear Cliff say it best... "We do what we wanna do and if they consider that selling out then whatever... Or maybe you don't play a 1,000 mph the whole time." RIP Burton.
@momscarface2 Lol imagine the wikipedia article about that... "For reasons unknown, a deranged man sprinted up to Metallica's tour bus in September 1986 and murdered the driver. This incident still baffles the band to this day."
at 3:20 the guy suggested that everyone got down to the concert, it starts at 7 :30, does anybody have a time machine that I can use to go back to 1986 and see the concert ?
@LittlPussi yeah ride the lightening was proly the one i liked and he was on there of course but yeah the best shit was with him and not even just that they sold out ! so there are a couple things agreed he was one of them!
2:04 to 2:35 Contrary to the beliefs of Metallica haters, the band is largely still like that today. Granted they've matured, grown, and they have their families to consider, but they express themselves honest with their music.
@TPCproductionz He never heard any of the The Black Album" yet. I doubt he would want to play on that. Because it's not worthy enough for a THRASH METAL BASS GOD!
@LittlPussi i agree, and i also prefer jason than rob, his backing vocals were just amazing, and nowadays, they would be essential to improve the quality of james' weakened vocals singing live
@guii70 Oh yes, actually, I think they should have stopped when Jason left. As a band they have nothing left to offer. As individuals it's a different story. There's probably some music left in Kirk, though not necessarily Metal, and since "Load" James has been flirting with a rough kinda "outlaw-country" thing. Maybe he should explore that, we know he can write songs, and since they don't need the money anymore... Lemmy went into Blues and cooperations, what's stopping Metallica-members?
Well, in my opinion ...And Justice For All... is Metallica's best. But after that there's been shit, until Death Magnetic. I like some songs on the Black Album but not as a whole. But if Cliff never died Metallica would have been so much better
@LittlPussi Really isn't that weird. It was a terrible thing that happened, and he probably contributed a lot to sound and other of the musical perspectives. :)
@caceteirooooo just like where they're great? the have 4 albums that DON'T SUCK, but they are not great in any way. just go & compare them to fuckin' Slayer. and if you find'em better or even comparable - go suck a dick, you deserve it.
@aasgoroth I wasn't comparing them to any band! Yes Slayer are very good. so are Megadeth. Anthrax. Manowar. METALLICA. Justin.... (Just Kidding). Judas Priest... and more. and they just have load, reload and st. anger that are bad.

@caceteirooooo I'm not saying. I'm writing, because they suck so bad, that it is not worth opening my mouth. They are mainstream shit for 10-15 yearolds, who wanna be cool metalheads, not knowing other bands!
@ArtjomsSivickis SHUT THE FUCK UP! WHAT DO YOU HEAR? JUSTIN BIEBER WHILE YOU HAVE 20 YEARS OLD? IS THAT IT? YOU HEAR RHIANNA BEYONCE OR WHAT THE FUCK IS HER NAME IN YOUR 20-30 YEARS?
