  • Good little review on the Llama. Bought one over the weekend, at a gun show $375. Looked at other 1911's. This is the only one in which I could reach the slide release, without having to readjust my hand. Can't wait to take to the range.

  • I bought this same gun about 10 years ago. Paid $225 new. These guns are fairly accurate, and decently built, but the extractors are VERY prone to breaking and shearing off. Many people think most parts are interchangeable with the 1911, but it's not true. Some parts are compatible, but all that are require a lot of fitting to work. I personally wouldn't recommend it for CCW because of unreliability issues due to garbage extractors, but it's a good little .45 plinker or target pistol.

  • @thenastiestnate I would pretty much agree. I had the extractor chip on this one and have been unable to find a replacement. In the long run, if you want a 1911 as a CCW pistol there are better ones out there for just a little bit more money. This was my first handgun, however, and I have a bit of a soft spot for it.

  • "I'm a 1911 fan"---- Amen brother

  • Dude wassup..I have the Llama max 1 also..check out my channel mrjefman36. I have two vids of range time with it posted. I agree, a good gun. I bought it new in 1999.
